  1. Yes, this has been fixed. sorry, programmers are trying to find the cause to the site slowness.
  2. No, today a friend sent me the entire thread before it got deleted. All I can say is WOW.
  3. We have programmers and our hosting company working on this but when they test, they can't get the same results. If anyone can do a QuickTime (or any other way) screen capture movie of when this happens to them, it will help. I have experience the same thing and when I go to make a recording, it works perfectly and have been unable to get this. Any assistance is appreciated. BBB, the Maintenance was only for forum and down when we upgraded to newer version.
  4. One of my friends is on the Rickshaw Run team that just got underway! Looks like they are off to a great start. Good luck Chris! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpoiY2wW3WI
  5. I just went to look at the thread there and only see 3 posts. I don't see any responses from anyone on this site including FH or Firecat. Am I missing something?
  6. I also admire you standing your ground. But, I am not sure I would have been able to do it. I might have just given him 1k baht and sent him away. That said, I have had friends in similar situations and they didn't know how to get out of it and at times it turned violent. I am glad your situation did not end in violence and I am glad you have people in the building that could have supported you when you needed it.
  7. Gay Palm Springs – Can You Hit 18 Holes? When you go on a gaycation, it can be fun to head off to Asia or explore Europe. Many of us like to check out the beautiful boys of Brazil and Argentina. But, our budgets won't always stretch far enough for an overseas vacation. And it can get boring hitting San Francisco year in and year out! That's why it's important to know about some of the other fabulous cities you can sexplore during your time off. Yummy men are everywhere, and many of them know how to have a gay old time. With that idea in mind, we want to spend today talking about one of the best gay vacation spots in America – Palm Springs, a city that has undergone a lot of changes over the years. Palm Springs first became a thing in the 1930s, when movie stars would turn up with their lovers while their wives or husbands thought they were on location. It became more public in the 1950s, when Lucy and Desi Arnaz moved into town, quickly followed by the Rat Pack. By the 1970s, Palm Springs changed again and became a retirement resort. But, it was not destined to stay that way forever. In the '80s the gays started moving into town and practically took over. Today, an estimated 40 percent of the population of Palm Springs is gay – and if that doesn't tell you that your odds of hooking up when you are in town are high, nothing will! So, my terrific twinks, bushy bears and turgid tops, let's spend a little time exploring gay Palm Springs – you'll thank us in the morning. Resorts! Resorts! Resorts! The main attraction in coming to Palm Springs are the many, many gay resorts you have to choose from. They are beautiful, and they keep the breeders out because they know they don't belong here! Palm Springs has the highest concentration of gay resorts in North America – and many of them are clothing-optional. This is handy if you don't want to end up kneeling before a “little surprise” when you get a guy up to your room. The resorts surround numerous golf courses, which makes sense since hitting the back nine is the main sport in Palm Springs. You'll also find they have beautiful swimming pools and all the amenities you could possibly want. It should seem obvious, but the local rent boys have learned to work the gay resorts, so if you are looking for a pay-for-gay experience, you'll have no problems if you just discreetly ask around. The Weather One bit of crucial advice when it comes to Palm Springs – you want to go there in the spring and fall. In the summer, the temperature regularly skirts 100 degrees. In the winter it drops down to around freezing at night. So, even though there are over 300 days of sunshine on average in Palm Springs, sometimes the sun will be too hot and sometimes it will be too cold. Be like Goldilocks and head over there when the temperature is just right. Gay Events Given the large gay population, it should be no surprise that there are more than enough gay events to keep you happy all year round. By far the most fun – and deservedly notorious – is the White Party, held every Easter Weekend. This is a cruising sextravaganza. You might want to pack some extra Viagra for the event if you decide to go. In November you get Gay Pride, which is just as out and proud as you'd expect in this city of sin. You get another Pride chance with the two-day-long Arenas Street Party. Then there is a third Pride event on Halloween – this one obviously very friendly for all of your dramatic drag queen urges. If that's not enough, on Thursday nights Palm Canyon Drive becomes a weekly street festival that is pretty much designed for gay cruising. The Dinah Shore Weekend, held every April, is also very gay focused, but does attract a lot of lesbians, so if that's not your scene you can give that one a pass. Other Activities Sitting by the pool, hiring rent boys and cruising should be your main activities in Palm Springs when you are not playing golf. But there are some other things you can do as well. The Aerial Tramway will give you great views of the city and surrounding mountains. The Indian Canyons are sacred Native American sites that you can hike through at your leisure. The Palm Springs Film Festival is a two-week event in January that not only attracts big name celebrities, but is also open to the public. Touring mid-Century celebrity homes is also a popular tourist activity. If It Was Good Enough For Lucy – It's Good Enough For You! So why not meet me in Palm Springs? I'll save a pitcher of martinis by the pool! cc boytoy.com 2013
  8. Boys Don't Cry Boys may not cry, but grown men may want to once they finish this movie particularly when they discover it's based on a true story. This is real tragedy, the type that comes from ignorance and repression and the all-too-human hatred of people who are different. But, this isn't your standard Hollywood tragedy, where a perfect example of a minority group is struck down by evil members of the majority. There is nothing saintly about the main character, Tena Brandon. She's as flawed as anyone else in the film and that's what makes it work. Because s/he comes off as human and not a cliché, we feel much more for Brandon when the world comes crashing down than we would have otherwise. It goes to show that imperfect people have the right to happiness as well, and you don't need a minority to act like a token to get your point across. What's interesting is that the movie works not only because of the main storyline, but also because of the other things that happen. It takes place mostly in a trailer park in a flyover state and we get to watch how people live and love and try to get through the day in rural areas where there just isn't much to do. The movie is as much about how poverty, lack of access to mental health care, and poor education lead to tragedy more so than any innate sense of evil. Even the characters who do horrible, horrible things at the end of the film are themselves victims of the system. Both are diagnosed with poor impulse control and can't get treatment and it's unclear if the system even thinks it's worth providing people like them with treatment. What's going through their heads when they lash out isn't I hate fags or fucking dykes; it's just, I was lied to. I was made a fool of. Now I need to strike back. Then, once it's done, you can see the horror on their faces. They just couldn't stop themselves. It's almost like their destiny was just as doomed from the start as Brandon's was. The story is fairly basic. Brandon is a dude born into a woman's body in a time and place where transsexual issues were not clearly understood. Everyone in his home town knows he doesn't have a dick, so when he tries to pick up girls there he gets hassled by the local homophobes. So, he decides to head a couple hundred miles away and try to find people who don't know him - and will assume that he really is a man. His choice is helped by the fact that he's been charged in his home state with grand theft auto, stealing checks, and burglary a fair motive to leave town beyond any gender identity crisis issues. He eventually gets into a bar fight with a redneck who is being shitty to a girl in a bar. She and her friends decide he's cool, and invite him to crash with them for a while. Brandon decides to stay, partly because he's feeling real friendship for the first time, and partly because he meets a girl named Lana played by Chole Sevigny who he at first wants to bone and then falls in love with. Lana falls in love with him too, and the two of them start having an affair (with him making a ton of excuses as to why he likes to go down on her but doesn't want to take his own pants off). Brandon continues to be sort of a sketchfest, stealing checks from one of his new friends, making up stories about his family back home being wealthy, and even pretending he has a son back home. This all falls apart when he decides to use a stolen check to pay a traffic ticket, and the cops realize he is a she. Remarkably, Lana is totally cool with her boyfriend not having a penis, and even lets him instruct her on how to eat pussy. The rest of his new friends, on the other hand, feel angry and betrayed, and decide they need to get revenge. This is where shit gets real. First, they rape Brandon and tell him that if he reports it, they will kill him. Brandon tries not to report it, but Lana calls an ambulance and the cops get him to sign a complaint against the rapists. Lana's mom doesn't want her daughter to turn lesbian, so she tells the guys where Brandon is hiding. At that point they turn up and in a drunken rage, shoot several people to death (not necessarily the people you are expecting them to kill). Along the way, we learn what life is like working in a factory, see interesting sports you can play with a pickup truck, and see a lot of people drinking booze and smoking weed simply because they are bored. One character's dream in life is to own a trailer park. That's the greatest ambition any one of them can actually have. So, the real tragedy here is poverty and ignorance. We see a bunch of generally good people who end up ruining their lives, and the lives of others, simply because they don't see any alternative. That's the real tragedy of America that the richest country in the world lets poverty like this happen, and then is shocked at the results. Boys Don't Cry makes that message very clear and is rightly considered one of the best LGBT films in history. cc boytoy.com 2013
  9. I was thinking you were proving he is an bigot and an idiot. But, I guess since you don't seem to like gays, it is OK to tease them, provoke them or discriminate against them? Me personally, I love the gays. Love hanging out with them, having sex with them and doing business with them. They are the best at sex you know.
  10. This bar is great. Sad that it will close. Does anyone know what plans they have to move?
  11. Unlike Firecat, I like Delta. But, I also always prefer to buy full fare tickets and then upgrade to business. I have been lucky on my last 2 International Delta flights. One from Bangkok to USA and the other from USA to Brazil. Both tickets were full coach fares and less than I have paid for either leg in many years! I was very happy to see such reasonable fares and this is the first time in many years I have been able to upgrade on the Brazil flight as in years past it was NEVER available. So, either they have seen the error of their ways, or like Firecat, others have said bye bye and opened up more seats for me.
  12. How do Burmese punks keep their mohawks standing tall? Why does cash in Myanmar need to be kept clean? What does making a kissing sound in a Yangon restaurant get you? As recently as a year ago, few people would have cared about the answers to any of these questions. But newfound political freedom has brought a surge in tourism to the once isolated country, making Myanmar a 2013 traveler's hot spot, and a place worth getting up to speed on. Read this article from CNN that lists 11 things you need to know but also has some good photos. http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/05/travel/myanmar-11-things/index.html?hpt=hp_c2
  13. Not at all my dear. No one forced me to do anything. I hate S & M. Thank you for bowing to my vast knowledge. I appreciate that sir. But, I didn't think my "edit" changed the intentions at all or I would not have done it. Is this a joke? You must know by now that I am the one that does not hold any grudges at all. And, to be honest, I had forgotten you had posted earlier criticizing me. It must have been one of those quick "zingers" that I missed. Sorry, I'll pay more attention in the future. You give me too much credit. I could never make Wee willie look worst than he does. I am just not that clever. I can see by your last post that you have truly moved on. I am glad that you have once again done this. Like you, I have moved on as well. New topic: Getting back to the theme of this thread, I have been looking into my insurance and they do not cover the cost of a med evacuation from foreign countries. Damn.
  14. My most sincere apologies. I did not mean to be creepy. But, we all consider different things creepy don't we? I know of one guy who likes to gossip so much that when he doesn't know anything new that he just makes it up. Creepy right? Hard to believe some people just love sitting around a table all night to discuss what other farangs do. Sick right? But, I will try not to misquote you on this post. As you know, I am friends with him. I also like him. And, I think it is very creepy for anyone to wish him or anyone else ill will or harm. Can we say that to do so would be disingenuous as a human being? The editing was for 2 different parts of your long tirade. I separated them by long white space but I guess that was not understood. As I said, I apologize for this and I'll try to do your post justice. But, please pull in the claws and at least give me the benefit of the doubt that I was not trying to distort your creepy commentary. Sorry, I meant to say just commentary but since I really like the use of your word creepy, I'm going to use it. So, here goes: Fantastic.I don't know him but is there a reason you bring up all the things he wasn't? Were you trying to point out something here? I am so sorry I am not as smart as you but you could be a bit more specific and just cut to the point. What were you trying to say here? Never save your tears and feelings. Just let them all out. I don't pity heygay, I do feel sorry for him and his condition. I do pity those that have no heart for the sick. I guess I grew up different than most people but my mother always told me to never kick someone when they are down. I have tried to live by that for over 40 years. It has served me well so far. Another comment not related to this catty thread: It is sad that the cost is that expensive to have one flown back home. I know that most insurance companies do not cover that. Jim, if you are still in this conversation, can you tell us if most American providers like Blue Cross will medivac someone back to USA? OK. Well, there you go. I didn't misquote you on this one. I used only your unedited words to show the area I was referring to. Again, I most humbly apologize if you read my initial comments and thought I was trying to misquote you. It was not my intent. My intent was only to take away a bit of the venom of your entire post. I am so sorry that I was unable to achieve this.
  15. Happened to me 1,000,000 times. LOL (pre video days)
  16. I don't think Grindr has anything to do with rising rates of HIV. People are on all the sites truly and it can't be one site's fault. But, I do think Grindr is responsible for me appointments at psychiatrists offices as after a night of 20 guys not even saying hi to me, I make an appointment for depression.
  17. Gay Florianopolis – The Secret Is Out And Proud! Some gay destinations are obvious. Everyone knows that Bangkok, San Francisco and New York are great places to visit when you want to get your gay on. Cruising the Castro is a cliché for a reason. But, you don't always want to go to the places where the gay tourists flock to, do you? Because otherwise, you end up mostly banging the cock fantastic with other tourists. Sometimes you want a bit of local flavor. You want to go where the people from that area head off to when they want to have a gay old time. That's why Montpellier, France is a better destination than Paris for gay guys, and it's why Florianopolis, Brazil is the best kept secret of South America. Florianopolis is where gays who live in Brazil or Argentina go on their vacations – which makes sense, because this city, which is half-mainland and half-island, is exactly halfway between Buenos Aires and Rio. And, it's a tropical paradise where the prices have yet to be inflated by a rush of First World tourists. If you want to see what gay South America is really like and sexperience the locals, then Florianopolis is where you want to go to get your gay on – it may be the hottest trip you ever take. In fact, the popular magazine BAGA has named Florianopolis the “best place to live in Brazil.” But if you want to go and seem like one of the cool kids, don't call the city by its given name. Instead, do as the locals do (and as we'll do in the rest of this article) and call it “Floripa” - since even the Brazilians can't spell its name properly! So, my manly men, burly bears and turgid twinks, let's go local and learn about a Floripa gaycation! Life's A Beach The main reason to hit Floripa are the beaches. There are more than 100 of them on the mainland and the island, and you can find whatever scene you are looking for. One bit of advice is to stay away from the more southern beaches, particularly Praia dos Açores by Pantano do Sul, because they are lesbian cruising grounds and not only will it be hard for you to get laid; you may not want to see what lesbians get up to when they are getting their gay on. Instead, if you are horny, check out Praia Galheta, where there is a lot of cruising and you can easily get laid in the nearby sand dunes. If you just want to lay out and get a tan, most of the other beaches will work out just fine for you. Going to the beach will be your main activity during the day, so plan on cumming home as brown as a berry. Homophobia Is A Crime To give you an example of just how gay-friendly Floripa is, since 2009 any act or statement that indicates homophobia is considered a crime. That's right, if some meathead calls you a “faggot” you can go to the cops and have him arrested. Gay men can expect to be welcomed and treated with respect – and if you live in a Red State, a week or two in Floripa may be just what you need. The Gayborhood While most of the city has its share of gay bars and saunas, the heaviest concentration is around Praia de Jurerê. Here is where you'll find megaclubs that are often bigger than their counterparts in Rio. You'll also find gay restaurants, shops, and steam rooms. It goes without saying that there are tons of rent boys in the clubs and saunas – and if you check out the local gay publications, you'll find listings for tons of gay escorts. That said, given the number of gay tourists from Argentina and Brazil you may very well be able to get down without hiring a boy, so try to pick up a local tourist first – and save your money for a nice cocktail instead of cock! Gay Events There are several dozen gay events during the year in Floripa, but two of them really stand out. The first is the Pop Gay competition, held every year as part of the Carnivale celebration. This is a drag queen beauty contest that attracts between 50,000 and 70,000 people each year. The second is the Semana da Diversidade, an entire Gay Pride week held every September. The highlight of the week are the Diversity Games – a sort of local Olympics for gay athletes and the men who love them. Wholesome Activities The most popular non-sexual activity in Floripa is whale watching. You can hire a boat and a guide cheaply and see whales doing their thing. In the spring, you can even watch mama whales taking care of their young. Of course, there are also tons of water sports available including parasailing, scuba diving, and even sandboarding. Go Local In Floripa! Ok, now you know the inside scoop – so let's meet up in Floripa! You can have the Argentinians, and I'll take the Brazilians! cc boytoy.com 2013
  18. I haven't written it yet. But, I also have none of his info. He went to my hotel from the conference and then I drove him back. I don't even have his email. But, when I hear from him again or when I see his post on Rentboy, I'll have the info I need and will post it. All I was left with when I saw him was his phone number and his underwear. (charity auction)
  19. LOL Well, I guess the only reason to send a message to someone like that is an ad. It won't faze me as I never send messages to anyone not in my friends list. I just checked and I have 4 friends. If they charge me for that, it might get expensive during the holidays.
  20. It is sad that the cost is that expensive to have one flown back home. I know that most insurance companies do not cover that. 21. #11. Rikers Island.
  22. I am glad that you have compassion FH. I know you have never liked his postings but your post shows that you are a true gentleman. I just read today on SGT the thread there and I am embarrassed at any person that says that a member of their community deserves pain and sickness and death. It is sick and from sick minds. I can honestly say that I wish no one that I have ever met in Thailand ill will. No matter what my differences with them, I always wish them well. I just don't understand the hatred anyone can have against someone else no matter what they have done.
  23. FH. Fantastic photos. I really think you missed your calling in life. You should have been a travel writer! You are better than those that make great money doing it and your photos are magazine quality!
  24. Great photos and great report Firecat. Thanks so much.
  25. My dear, I am a horrible listener. Ask any one that knows me, when we are sitting having a fantastic dinner conversation and a cute boy walks by, my mind wanders fast. LOL Most people can put up with this and are OK with it. Those that aren't OK with it, no longer go to dinner with me.
