I do not think this is true. I have tons of friends who are porn stars and have made a wonderful living in the business and many of them have long careers with the companies. I think to one friend from Florida who did about 30 films at over 10k per film plus flights back and forth to Vegas and money for live video chat. He was in the business for 3 years and paid cash for a condo in Florida and another one in his home town of NC. I have seen the decline of Western tourists for several years in both Thailand and Brazil. For Brazil, it is the great economy and the high prices of the hotels. I just recently book a stay in Rio for 2 weeks and the average hotel rate was over 700 USD for the nicer hotels. I had to use my points for the stay. In Thailand, you can still get a great deal on hotels, etc. but the US economy is still hurting travel to most places. I do not see 2013 as any better in this regard.
