Bangkok attracts the tourists. Pattaya bars tend to attract the local expats. I have seen tourists in the bars but not to the extent of the bars in Bangkok. Plus, the bars in Pattaya are reasonable with regards to prices and off fees. For me, I love the bars and go often in Pattaya but I hate to feel the bar is fucking me before I get the boy in my bed. With drink prices near the price of drinks in a hot NYC disco and off fees sky high as well, IMHO the bars in Bangkok are not really looking to service the gringos. They are looking to take care of the Asian tourists who have money to spend looking at a show and buying drinks.
