There are so many things to see and do in Thailand and I often think I have seen them all. But, I am often amazed when I find something so close that I have not been to before or even heard much about. Today was one of those days. The Nong Nooch Garden is one of these places. It is a short distance from Pattaya. It is a beautiful garden with some wild animals and tons of gardens and things to do. As I have said before, I am in love with my Vitamix. I use it daily. I can't seem to get enough. So, I have decided to take the plunge and get a few more appliances. I am not sure the best place to shop for great deals and good quality. I want two things. 1. A bread machine. I had one in the USA and loved it. I think it is time to get another one. Can you easily find one here? What about getting the packaged mixes? 2. A Coffee Machine that makes Lattes. I had a Nespresso in USA and loved it. I didn't think they would have the small cups in Thailand so I left in USA. I found these in the mall at Central Festival and was happy to find them. However, their machines were the smaller ones that did not make the Latte. Anyone seen these in Thailand or have recommendations of another brand? I want something easy and fast and that makes a great cup of coffee. -

Being surrounded by the ocean, I love to see the activities in the area. There are jet skis, para-sailing boats and people swimming all around. Pattaya and Jomtien are a bevy of water activities during the day. We saw this boat today and thought it was pretty cool.

OK. Well, I guess I didn't realize that my DVD was more than that. It was a surround sound entertainment system as well and all connected in order to work. Once I got the DVD to working via a HDMI cord, I then had to buy a few other cable cords in order to connect the UBC to the Panasonic DVD player in order for the Surround Sound to work. Mahjongguy told me exactly what to get and I sent the boys to the Tuk Com to buy this. The cords cost 60 baht. Doing this, I have to use multiple remotes in order to get it work perfectly and that is OK with me. I wanted to pick up the surround sound for the election results tomorrow morning.

Tonight my electricity went out for only about 30 min. But, for me, that was an eternity sitting in the dark. I could not find the flashlight or anything else. The electricity going out in India was almost daily even in great hotels. But, now that I am a bit more settled, I am curious what others keep for their places in case of necessity. For sure items that I need to pick up and keep on hand: 1. Candles 2. Internet Sim Card that is fully loaded with money 3. Flashlight 4. Matches 5. Water 6. Cards to play poker with Anyone else have suggestions?

One of the things I love about Thailand is its beauty. There are luscious greens everywhere, beautiful blue skies, golden temples at every corner and vivid orchids and flowers. I love the color of the flowers that are everywhere. So much so, when I first would visit the country, I would go into a flower shop and order 10 or 20 baskets of flowers to be delivered to my hotel so I could smell them 24/7. When I had a house rental by the ocean a few years back, I redecorated the entire garden with some of the most beautiful flowers I had ever seen. Well, I have been here on and off for 10 years now and I still am in awe with the flowers that are always growing. I also love to go to the garden centers to view the new Orchids. Thailand is amazing to me for so many reasons, but I never leave out my love for their flowers.
