I have always preferred the term gay to queer. I do not like the word questioning because I am not and have not been questioning in ages and it also makes me think that I might not be gay if I am not sure myself. But, great read @Latbear4blk

Intermittently getting security warning...
TotallyOz replied to JKane's topic in Comments and Suggestions
The warning is there because boytoy has a paid SSL Certificate and is then forwarded to another site with another SSL certificate. We have been trying to fix this but there is no security issue other than there is no content at boytoy. -
Pattaya plans for reopening with no quarantine for vaccinated travellers
TotallyOz replied to a topic in Gay Pattaya
The Tourism Authority of Thailand has sent out a letter to people in the tourism industry saying that Phuket will open to vaccinated foreign tourists from 1st July. They do not need to do quarantine but they must stay in Phuket at least 7 days. Children only need to do rapid test. The TAT will start their official countdown next week with full details of the rules and what is open for the visitors. (From Richard Barrow) -

Looking forward to the new season. -
I am so sorry to hear this. Are you OK?

Without question, my favorite show this season is Pose! I love it and I love Billy Porter's character. This week's episode had me in tears and calling friends to chat about it. The religious roots and the singing move me. This article is well-written: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/billy-porter-hiv-positive-diagnosis-1234954742/

I am really enjoying it. Thanks for the recommend. I have finished the first few episodes and agree that McGregor is excellent.

It truly is a shit show. No one seems to know what is happening. -
Colton Underwood says he was blackmailed after going to a gay spa and someone emailed him and said they had nude photos of him. This is what he said led to his coming out. I hate anyone being forced out when they are not ready. https://variety.com/2021/tv/features/colton-underwood-the-bachelor-netflix-1234970331/

One of my favorite stories as a child. I can't wait to see the movie.

Did you tell Facebook that? It is insane they would ban someone over shit like that.

Americans are the sanest people on earth. We have a well-oiled democrazy and we only elect the smartest people to high offices. OK. So, we like a bit of sex with our preachers. That is not weird. That is just the good book taking care of its own.

Are you religious? Floods and plagues and shit bring back thoughts of Moses.

Sorry, I don't use TikTok so I don't know.

This is a very interesting read. During the pandemic, I have found better stuff on the fan sites that I do with the studios. https://ilikepinga.com/2020/09/26/adios-gay-porn-studios/

The Trump Justice Department secretly obtained Washington Post journalists’ phone records and tried to obtain their email records over reporting they did in the early months of the Trump administration on Russia’s role in the 2016 election, according to government letters and officials. In three separate letters dated May 3 and addressed to Post reporters Ellen Nakashima and Greg Miller, and former Post reporter Adam Entous, the Justice Department wrote they were “hereby notified that pursuant to legal process the United States Department of Justice received toll records associated with the following telephone numbers for the period from April 15, 2017 to July 31, 2017.” The letters listed work, home or cellphone numbers covering that three-and-a-half-month period. Cameron Barr, The Post’s acting executive editor, said: “We are deeply troubled by this use of government power to seek access to the communications of journalists. The Department of Justice should immediately make clear its reasons for this intrusion into the activities of reporters doing their jobs, an activity protected under the First Amendment.” News organizations and First Amendment advocates have long decried the government practice of seizing journalists’ records in an effort to identify the sources of leaks, saying it unjustly chills critical newsgathering. The last such high-profile seizure of reporters’ communications records came several years ago as part of an investigation into the source of stories by a reporter who worked at BuzzFeed, Politico and the New York Times. The stories at issue there also centered around 2017 reporting on the investigation into Russian election interference. https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/trump-justice-dept-seized-post-reporters-phone-records/2021/05/07/933cdfc6-af5b-11eb-b476-c3b287e52a01_story.html This is abhorrent. It is not surprising at all to me. But, it does show how far these clowns went. I also think this cause yet another investigation and more charges for someone in the Trump administration.

Controversial televangelist Ernest Angley has died at age 99, according to an announcement Friday on the Ernest Angley Ministries website. "Pastor, evangelist and author Rev. Ernest Angley has gone to Heaven to be with his Lord and Master at 99," the announcement reads. "He touched multitudes of souls worldwide with the pure Word of God confirmed with signs, wonders, miracles and healings. He truly pleased God in all things." A native of Gastonia, North Carolina, Angley moved to Akron in 1954 and eventually turned into an internationally known figure, thanks largely to the syndicated TV broadcasts he launched in 1972. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/05/07/ernest-angley-controversial-televangelist-dies-age-99/4998601001/ I grew up watching him with my family. The news of him being a closeted homosexual were years in the making.

Gay Icons Of The Past #3: His Hands Were Free
TotallyOz replied to PeterRS's topic in Theater, Movies, Art and Literature
I honestly don't know much about him but I have seen this movies. It did not cross my mind that he was gay until after I saw them years ago. It is quite sad how closeted people had to be back then (and some still feel the same today) in order to work in Hollywood. On reading this, I do wonder which star changed the perception that it was OK to be gay and they got work? I know some have come out and it negatively affected their careers. I am curious how many regret it and how many wish they could live their truth. -
Expats are included in Thailand’s vaccination plan
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
"Thanee said that once the locally made AstraZeneca’s vaccines started to roll out in June, the vaccination programme will start to cover foreigners" Again, sorry, but no date. They will begin...they plan to...the intention is... But, in the end, never anything specific! -
Gay Icons of the Past #2: "Berlin is Boys"
TotallyOz replied to PeterRS's topic in Theater, Movies, Art and Literature
What great memories you bring back for me. Thank you. I loved Hockney. I especially like this one. Cabaret is one of my all time favorites. "Christopher revelled in Berlin's thriving gay scene. He was later to say he had had sex with at least 400 boys." So few guys? I thought you mean really revelled? 400 is such a low number. But, I guess back then, it may have been a lot. Damn, my NYC days really made me jaded. -
