Ding Dong the Witch is dead (or off air): From CNN: Embattled radio talk show host Dr. Laura Schlessinger announced Tuesday she will not renew her contract that is up at the end of the year, telling CNN's "Larry King Live" she wants to "regain my First Amendment rights." Schlessinger, 63, has been under fire for using the n-word repeatedly during an on-air conversation with a caller last week. In announcing her decision "not to do radio anymore" after being in the business for more than 30 years, Schlessinger said, "I want to be able to say what's on my mind and in my heart and what I think is helpful and useful without somebody getting angry or some special-interest group deciding this is a time to silence a voice of dissent." National furor erupted when Schlessinger used the n-word 11 times in five minutes during a call August 10 with an African-American caller who was seeking advice on how to deal with racist comments from her white husband's friends and relatives. The conversation evolved into a discussion on whether it's appropriate to ever use the word, with Schlessinger arguing it's used on HBO and by black comedians. e-mail from Delta: We are happy to announce the start of our newest benefit — Complimentary Medallion® Upgrades on SkyMiles Award Tickets, including all tickets redeemed through the Pay with Miles program. SkyMiles is the only program to offer this benefit which takes effect immediately. You've earned these Award Tickets, so your upgrades will clear in your corresponding Medallion window after all revenue tickets have cleared. Upgrades will be automatically requested when you make an Award reservation on most Delta flights within or between the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, Bermuda, Mexico and Central and Northern South America. In other upgrade news, we will continue to offer unlimited Complimentary Medallion Upgrades for traveling companions and have made them even better: Complimentary upgrade requests for Medallions and companions who are traveling together will now begin clearing 24 hours prior to departure rather than the previous 12 hours. And, Complimentary Companion Upgrades are now available on all deeply discounted L, U and T Economy fares. Some of you have asked us to clear companions with Medallions in your corresponding upgrade window. However, after careful consideration and significant customer input, companions will continue to be upgraded only after all other Medallions, since most Medallions do not want to lose their upgrade seat to companions with no status. For more details on these changes and other Medallion benefits, please visit delta.com/medallion. We look forward to seeing you onboard soon.

Please. Please. For goodness sake, don't respond to this tread. I will not lock it or remove it. But, please, lets move on. Let Daddy post here on it all he wants. Read. Laugh. But, don't give him the response he is looking for. This will be my last post here.

I hope you have a wonderful and amazing day!

In another thread BiBottomBoy used his wit and charm to create some prose. I know there are many on this site that are writers. Anyone have any poetry to share with us? I'll start (dedicated to bibottomboy) I am not sure why someone would be bi It seems they would cum and cum until they die With so many choices for those who do it all Perhaps being gay was not my only call But, the thought of pussy really makes me sick I find writing poetry makes me want to suck dick (stepping into my bedroom with the BF to finish the rhyme in person)

I have been working all night on a banner section for the top of the website. The general consensus from members here seem to advise us to remove the boys (webcam boys) from the top of the site. We are going to give this a test run for a few months. We are going to replace this with links to gay run businesses in Thailand. We have selected a few that we will be putting up soon to test the new look. We ask for member's suggestions and advice on this. We hope to make this site a wonderful and comfortable community for all. We hope the new banner area helps the majority and we are willing to test this to see if successful. We will reserve the right to make changes to this in the future if there are no businesses interested in the new area. Someone in another thread made a comment about nude guys on the top banner. Do you view our main banner as too explicit? Do we need to tone this down? Thank you for your comments. Hugs,

I received a PM from a member who asked if political debate is allowed on the message board. The answer is yes. You are free to debate all issues related to Thailand except the Monarchy. We ask that you respect the views of others posting their view as there are always two sides to every issue. If the discussion does not involve Thailand, please use the other forums. This forum is geared toward issues about Thailand only. Administrators / Moderators will not be deleting posts in which we do not agree. All we ask is that you be show everyone the same respect you desire. Hugs,

A federal appeals court in San Francisco, California, has blocked same-sex marriages in that state from resuming immediately, until the three-judge panel hears broader questions over the constitutionality of such marriages. The brief order from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals late Monday set aside a federal judge's decision earlier this month that would have permitted same-sex marriages to resume in California as early as Wednesday. That came after the judge ruled a voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage violated federal civil rights laws. The appeals court also set a fast schedule to hear the merits of the constitutional challenge to Proposition 8, the 2008 initiative defining marriage as only between one man and one woman. Oral arguments will now be held the week of December 6, meaning a decision on whether same-sex couples can legally wed likely will not be decided until sometime next year. Opponents of Proposition 8 seeking to overturn the voter-approved ban on same-sex marriages will not appeal Monday's ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court, according to spokesman Yousef Robb with the American Foundation for Equal Rights. Opponents could ask the Supreme Court to intervene on the narrow question of whether to allow the stay to be lifted, but both sides of the debate agree the odds of the justices getting involved at this stage are very slim. The case has had an up-and-down series of rulings and referendums. The state's high court had allowed same-sex marriage, but then the voter referendum two years ago passed with 52 percent of the vote. The California Supreme Court subsequently allowed that initiative to stand, saying it represented the will of the people. For the entire article: http://edition.cnn.com/2010/US/08/16/same.sex.marriage/index.html?hpt=T2#fbid=gYq-G8MH7vH&wom=false And, another great article: A federal appeals court has extended a stay on same-sex marriages in California until it decides whether a ban on such unions is constitutional. It is just the latest turn in a protracted legal battle over Proposition 8, the voter-approved ban. The ruling, issued by a three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, came less than a week after a federal district judge, Vaughn R. Walker, lifted a stay he had imposed to allow proponents of the ban to argue why same-sex marriages should not proceed. On Aug. 4, Judge Walker ruled that Proposition 8 was unconstitutional. Even when lifting his stay on Thursday, Judge Walker allowed six days for the Ninth Circuit to review his ruling. That left many gay and lesbian couples and their supporters hopeful that same-sex marriages would resume Wednesday at 5 p.m., when Judge Walker

Interesting poll JKane. Thanks. I had to think long and hard before I placed my vote. I will say I am really a pacifist. But, I didn't vote that way. That scares me as well.

Totally incorrect. If you are in Sunee Plaza, the guys are young. There is only one of MANY gay areas. If you go to Boyztown, they are not young and I think the average age of one muscle bar there is about 30 up. If you use GayRomeo, you will get every age just like you do in Bangkok, Rio, LA, etc. Pattaya is not a place for young boys. That is a misconception. Sure, they are there if you want them and maybe there are more bars that cater to this clientele. However, they are also in every other city I know of if you want them and know where to look. I remember back to my first trip in Rio and meeting a guy that was bragging about picking up the young street kids. I left the table at Corijunha's and never spoke to him again. My first long term date in Pattaya was with a 19 year old in Bangkok. He said he was 19. A few days later, he admitted he lied and was actually 22. I laughed and said no problem. We checked into the Marriott in Pattaya and they made a copy of his ID. When he wasn't around, I went back and asked his real age. They said 29. Once again I laughed. This was about 7 - 8 years ago. I still see him from time to time and when I ask his age, he says, "19". He looks it. But, I know he is now in his mid 30s. Pattaya has gotten a bad reputation over the years. I will not say it was not deserved. But, it is cleaned up drastically. If you come for a trip to Thailand and I am here, let me show you the real part of Pattaya which is not a young scene at all but older guys, discos, after hours clubs, Internet dates, etc. Lucky, I have always respected your perspective on all subjects. But, on this one, you are wrong. Sorry.

I did not have high speed Internet all day yesterday and am still waiting for the tech to come. However, I found I was able to check in on sites and e-mail from my IPad. This made life very easy for me and it is the best investment I have made. This little gadget surely is going to take off when it makes it to Thailand. As a back up, I found it was sufficient and reliable. E-mails are a breeze. Websites loaded slow at first but when you left them open and went back, they were fast to load. I was impressed once again with Apple's new IPad.

Great video. Thank you! I think we should set up one of these poles in WeHo and get the guys over for a visit. I'd surly be in attendance.

You are welcome! Anything I can do to help. Happy to assist.

I find the outrage over the Mosque in NYC Outrageous. NYC is (or was) the true melting pot. All people, religions, etc are supposed to be welcomed with open arms. I have no problem with the Mosque in my city or near the ground zero area. Sadly, it does speak volumes of where we are headed when even NYC caves in to intolerance.

All things are possible. I did not make any definitive post as to my belief of this. I am not omnipresent. I can't know all the known identities of the other site or other sites that people visit. If someone does not want their Monkier used, they should register it and let it sit. To me that would be the most intelligent thing to do. I don't frequent the other site and I don't know many of its posters. I only go there with a controversy like a closure happens to see what is happening. Other than that, I don't spend time there and I'll never be able to keep up with all the screen names there. My apologies to those that find this offensive. I just don't have the time or the desire to try to go over there to ascertain when a poster registered here is the same one or a different one. They usually reveal themselves out in the long run. Guilty. Just thought I'd have a little fun. Sorry, I too had a long day yesterday and instead of venting on another site, I came here and made a post that made me giggle inside. I'll try to keep my humor to myself. Again, my apologies if I offended anyone with my attempt to amuse myself. (luckily you didn't see me last night trying to amuse myself in the moonlight). Looks like I couldn't resist again. Sorry. I'll try to resist the next time. It is kind of like trying to give up caffeine. Sometimes you just need a taste. I'll try to pass by "Starbucks" if Daddy posts again on this thread.

I thank you all for the comments. I assure you will will do our best to make the site better in the coming weeks and months!
