  1. Yes, they are. Thank goodness. My family has always been accepting of me and my boyfriends. I have taken boyfriends home for the holidays for 15 years. Although the older group in the family never use the word boyfriend, they always refer to my lover as "my special friend." That is OK with me as it is a step in the right direction. And, the ladies are now over 70 years old. I am thankful that they are accepting of my life and welcome me home with open arms. I love that things change, even if bit by bit. It wasn't too long ago in my home town where gay men were burned in their home for being open about being gay. Now, when I wear my rainbow bracelet I get many people saying, "I love your bracelet. I have one too." I am glad your family wedding was a good experience for you.
  2. When the BF woke up the AM, we went outside on the balcony to play chess (or normal morning routine). It was interesting that even during the rain there were tons of people out parasailing. We counted over 20 at one time going around the bay. Has anyone ever done this in Pattaya? What is the cost?
  3. Dammit. You keep throwing out the city to me. I feel it is a conspiracy! Your photos always make me want to fly down there. I was having lunch in Thailand yesterday when a guy approached me and asked me about Rio. We spent about an hour discussing the scene there. I suggested he visit this site to see of your photos.
  4. Wow. Again hot photos. Thanks TomCal. My favorite of the group was 1953.jpg. Yummy!
  5. I think Warren Beatty sums it up best: “Marriage requires a special talent, like acting. Monogamy requires genius.” Having said that, I have been in long term monogamous relationships. They lasted until my partner found out I wasn't as monogamous as he was. Or vice versa.
  6. Is the recession over? Are we headed up? Or, is this just a pause in the problems? Alan Greenspan was in NBC's Meet the Press and signaled that a possible double digit dip may be in the future. Your thoughts? Bloomberg News Former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan said the slowing economic recovery in the U.S. feels like a "quasi-recession," and the economy might contract again if home prices decline. "We're in a pause in a recovery, a modest recovery, but a pause in the modest recovery feels like a quasi-recession," Greenspan said on NBC's Meet the Press. Asked if another economic contraction, a so-called double dip, was possible, Greenspan said, "It is possible if home prices go down. Home prices, as best we can judge, have really flattened out in the last year." Slowing economic growth, and a decline in housing activity following the expiration of a government tax credit, have raised fears that the economy could return to a recession before completing its recovery from the worst downturn since the 1930s. The former U.S. central bank chairman said that most economists expect "a small dip" in home prices. The National Association of Realtors reported that the pace of home sales fell in June for a second month. Homes are selling at an annual rate of 5.37 million, and the group's chief economist Lawrence Yun said transactions will be "very low" in coming months. "If home prices stay stable, then I think we will skirt the worst of the housing problem," Greenspan said. "But right under this current price level, mainly 5, 7 or 8 percent below, is a very large block of mortgages, which are underwater, so to speak, or could be underwater. And that would induce a major increase in foreclosures, foreclosures would feed on the weakness in prices, and it would create a problem." Home prices in 20 cities rose by 4.6% in May, according to a report from S&P/Case-Shiller last week. Because of the index's lag in reporting, the extent to which home prices may slacken in June and July is not yet determined. Greenspan's successor, Ben Bernanke, told Congress last month that the economic outlook is "unusually uncertain." Bernanke and his colleagues on the Federal Open Market Committee will meet Aug. 10 in Washington. Last week, the Commerce Department reported that the recovery slowed in the second quarter this year. The economy grew at a 2.4% pace, following growth of 3.7% in the first quarter. http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/2010-08-02-greenspan02_ST_N.htm
  7. As men, we are often told not to cry. Or, if we have really special people in our lives to "let it all out." I remember as a child going to see King Kong. It was my first PG movie. My sister and I went together. I came out sobbing and was sad all night. I told my mother, "I don't ever want to see a PG movie again." As an adult, I find I do tear up in movies. Some just bring me a slight mist and some make me cry. The Green Mile was on that really made me cry. When the main character was going to be covered with the mask and said he was afraid of the dark, I just sobbed. Are there any movies that make you cry?
  8. Many of us enjoy the atmosphere and reasonable prices and good food at Salt and Pepper Restaurant in Day Night 2. The owners are great and they are always attentive. They have a few new items that they have added to the menu. One of them is a chicken wrapped in bacon with cheese on the inside. It comes with fries and a salad. It tastes very good and for those of you that want to deviate from your regular Thai meal when there, give this great new item a try. I had it yesterday and thought it was delightful. They also have a few Russian dishes they make especially for the ladies customers they have for lunch each day.
  9. LOL As long as they are facing that way, I'll take any of them.
  10. They may not compel you to give them your password, but if you refuse, they will confiscate your computer. They will not only look for illegal porn but for illegal movies and music. They can be a real PITA. Knowing this, I keep everything legal on my computer and it costs a lot to only buy music and movies from ITunes but there is no alternative for me. I sit down, read a book and wait for them to finish. When they ask a question, I respond. When they don't ask directly, I keep reading. That is true but I keep VirusBarrier X6 on my computer just in case. I use this daily just in case as I have a 2TB hard drive. They also supply a washing machine which erases all unneeded items.
  11. August is a good month. I was so in love with River Phoenix when I was young. I just bought My Own Private Idaho this week at the store to watch it again. And, Sean Connery has been my ultimate lover since I was 10. (Marc Anthony don't get upset). I still think Sean is the sexiest man alive.
  12. I love Hillary. I think she is the Cat's Meow. I also admire Annie Leibovitz, Janis Joplin, Jane Fonda, Helen Keller, Frida Kahlo and Martha Graham.

I was with him the last nights. He was in great spirit in a Presidential Suite in a fabulous hotel with the boy he loved. He had problems which he did not have looked after. He took much better care of those he cared for than he did himself.

How about something a little more dramatic?
  15. I especially liked this one.
  16. I don't really get why they are having all this shake up. And, if Simon knew all this was coming, does this not cut into his millions if they ratings sink? I liked Ellen on the show and she was able to help lots of the other contestants who didn't win by being on her show. Ellen is amazing and is great at anything she does. I did think she at times felt uncomfortable on the show but I forgave it as first year jitters.
  17. I always thought Levi was hot and sexy. I hope he does a video soon. I'd buy it.
  18. flguy: thanks for the information. I could write this review of about a thousand guys I have been with in Brazil. (minus the business-like)

  20. I love my Mac Pro's tracking device and it is the same on the IPad. I love these devices. Apple just came out with a Trackpad to connect to your computer that does the same thing. Isn't she lovely? http://www.apple.com/magictrackpad/
  21. If I could change one thing about myself it would be my eyesight. I am almost blind and I have great difficulty reading especially when it is dark. I need a bright light in a romantic restaurant just to read the menu. Imagine when I bring my Mag Light out of my purse in a cozy dinner setting. It kinda spoils the mood.
  22. That is just too hot for words. Thanks.

Thanks. And, welcome to the site NYTomcat! I think Crawford is a much needed commodity here. Damm. I love her. That pic is a perfect representation of her.
  25. OK. I'll do that. Give me a few days to gather them and collect them. As always, thanks for the suggestions and keep them coming.
