Just making sure everybody is OK....
TotallyOz replied to Badboy81's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Things in Thailand are pretty good. We still have plenty of food and the ability to get what we need. However, there is a curfew at night and between provinces. I do not think the gov't is reporting the right numbers as hospitals will not take non-covid19 patients unless an emergency. That said, I have no desire to go to a hospital to check. Thailand is very self-sufficient in that it produces most of its own food and other good. They don't really need the outside world a great deal. But, we will see if I am wrong. I did stock up on things that I thought would get blocked from coming into the country like American protein bars, Nespresso Coffee, etc. but have not needed to stock up on much else. All non-essential businesses are closed. Schools are closed for the rest of this academic year. I believe the curfew will move from night only to all day if number of cases increase. Hotels are closed for the most part. Fine of 40,000 thb if you are caught out during curfew. That is 2-3 months salary for most Thais. That is where I am. I am OK mentally, physically and emotionally. I keep myself active daily on a stationary bike in my apartment, read a lot, taking some online classes to strengthen my mind, cook all my own food in bulk and freeze it for the future, talk to family in America daily, and just stay inside. I am healthy and stable but sad to see the world turning inside out. Others? -
I hate sports. Well, I did before today. Now, I think I'm interested again.

What was the greatest night you ever had in Bangkok?
TotallyOz replied to AlexThompson's topic in Gay Thailand
Last night, I had a party with 6 hot muscle boys from Grindr, Jack'ed and Hornet. They all wanted to meet up as things have been slow for them. Their bodies were divine. Some has beautiful tats which I love but others were as pure as possible. Most has six packs. I provided the location, lube, porn, sling, and booze. We spent about 3 hours in hot sex with each other. Everyone came at least 2 times with some a bit more. I'm old, so for me, it was once: at the very end of that wet dream. Then, I woke up. -
So nice. My mom always spoke in a way easier to understand. How about: Shit Show?

Sad how people don't fact check. Thank goodness Americans are too smart to fall for fake news.

Curious. Are you sharing this based on insurance issues? I got an email from my insurance carrier that CoVid was covered 100%. Does changing terminology change this?

It Begins - Curfew imposed over large portion of metro Bangkok
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
I do hope so. I think because I shop at Villa Market, the prices are going to be higher than the average grocery store. I have been using Villa for MANY years in many cities. They are also a bit higher but not this much. No, only two bags. No steaks. Nothing majorly expensive at all. Veggies, canned goods, lots of beans, rice, frozen bread, frozen items like burritos and french fries, flour, yeast (not in most stores), etc. Things I have bought in the past. But, anything imported is going to be expensive. I ordered from IHerb over 6 weeks ago and it normally takes one week to get to me. It is still in Hong Kong as no flights to get to Thailand now. I to think if I were to shop at a Thai place, it would have been cheaper. However, my Thai friends have said the prices they are paying are also more. And, many items are out and not easy to find (like eggs and milk). -

Yes, and they said that Governors of different regions can make stricter enforcement to protect the people. -

Thais who buy food daily cannot stay indoors 24 hours a day. They need time to do what needs to be done. Today, I had to go to the market. First time I have left in 2 weeks. The streets were quiet and social distancing was everywhere I saw. I purchased 6 zucchini to make a veggie chili to last days. Guess how much? 660 baht. I was shocked. All in all, my bill was 15,000 baht for food. That is so much more than normal and I used the same store as always. Prices are much higher. Yes, I have enough to last in my place for a while. But, do most Thais? I don't think so. In most places, they allow for people to go out during the day. It is meant for essentials as there should be no travel between provinces. But, keeping people indoors all day seems good to me but not for most Thais. Just my opinion. Now, the cost. You and I can afford to weather the storm. Can most Thais? I don't think so and I know not. I have already turned down over 30 guys in the last week asking for help. It is sad but I can't help everyone that needs it. My ex called recently as he got sick and I asked him to go get checked for CoVid. He went to a Thai hospital. You know how much? 8,000 baht. So, can most Thais afford that? No. And, therefore most will not get tested. It is a shit show. And, as the privileged, we are definitely in the advantage here. We can't put our minds to Thai thinking. And, I don't know of many Thais who have prepared for the weeks of quarantine like me (or months). Night time people are up to no good. They are pervs trying to fuck and score and have sex. There are none that are going to play bridge. JK I don't know any of that but I wanted to say it. Plus, I can't seem to stay awake after 10 so it doesn't affect me in the least. Even when friends are in town, I go to meet them and am tired before the first bar opens. -

What is hard is that people here are not use to obeying most laws or pay a bit to get out of any issues. This is different and they are confused. Rightly so. I think curfew makes sense. But, also do not go outside. They will get stronger regulations as time comes. The Cabinet is meeting tomorrow so that may be more stringent rules. I had a friend went to a hospital and was denied entry for anything but an emergency. Sounds dire to me! -
The governor of one of the six provinces comprising metropolitan Bangkok late Tuesday afternoon imposed a curfew on all citizens to stem the spread of the coronavirus. All of Nonthaburi province, which sprawls northwest of downtown, will observe an 11pm to 5am curfew starting tomorrow under order of Gov. Suchin Chaichumsak. In his signed order, Suchin exempted cargo carriers. Bangkok is a special administrative region rather than province; the curfew does not apply within its borders. https://coconuts.co/bangkok/news/curfew-imposed-over-large-portion-of-metro-bangkok/ This is expected to be just the start as other area may follow soon.

This may be a question for someone else. What is your original Visa? It should be stamped in your passport with the original issue date.

At one point, yes. But, in April, May or June? Worth the risk? IMHO, not in the least. It is a developing situation but I would not be making plans to travel anywhere till I see where this is in 30 days, 60 days, 90 days. My plans for the USA this summer have already been cancelled as I don't want to risk it at this point.

So, I tried the 90 day reporting via Online today for TM.47. It worked fine and I got the receipt for the approval. Firefox did not work. However, Chrome worked perfectly. Be sure to hit Print on the last page as that is what gives you the receipt that you need that says approved and the date and code. Great thread and I appreciate the information! https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online/online/tm47/TM47Action.do?cmd=acceptTerm

If you get bored during your self-isolation, Ozark staring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney is excellent. Each season gets better and Season three just popped on Netflix and I would not stop watching it. Great acting and great story. They really do develop these characters and it is enjoyable to watch the family struggle through so many roadblocks.
-
Season 3 just finished and it stared Bill Pullman and Matt Bomer. Matt was amazing and did a fantastic job. Both of them are great actors but it was so good to see Matt on screen in such a good role. He is truly talented. The season was one of the best shows on TV. If you have not watched, this, start from Season 1 and go all the way through and let Matt be the icing on the cake.

Basically, all non-essential services. Samutprakahan did the same a few hours later. I expect other districts will adopt as well.
