  1. Thai ditched it non-stop from LAX and NYC to Bangkok and both flights were always packed. They said they made less money on the flights than the cargo and those planes could not handle a lot of cargo.
  2. There really should be no log in issues if you follow the required log in procedure. That is, go to www.gayguides.com main page. Click Log in. Then, click Forums. That is what needs to happen for each log in. If you have other pages or unread content book marked, it won't work as the system logs you out after a period of time.
  3. Jesus Christ Sir! Visit me in Thailand and let me ward these evil spirits out of you!
  4. I am going to miss this place! I went there my first time with Hooboy when my boyfriend and I made our first visit to Brazil. Hooboy was in Sao Paulo and wanted us to visit for a few weeks and we did. He has been there for week or months already and was known by all the guys so he was able to introduce us to some guys that were fun. But, we had met a guy in Rio we both really liked and we flew him to Sao Paulo with us for 3 ways each night. He was actually from Sao Paulo and worked in the saunas there but was visiting Rio while we were there at New Year's Eve. Hooboy made sure we were visited by more than just a few of his friends over our stay in Sao Paulo and our favorite destination was Lagoa! To this day, I still love the place and it is one reason I always stayed in Sao Paulo more than Rio.
  5. OK. I have to ask, can you give me a 20 second clip you want me to see in this? It brings back horrible memories of my childhood to watch him.
  6. I'd love to meet him! Years back, I was with ihpguy in a sauna and he recommended a guy to me that I never would have gone with. Not twinky, not my type at all but I thought what the hell. Holy shit, the sex was an 11 or a 1-10 scale. He was amazing and I saw him several times. Being the most beautiful is not always the sexiest. But, sexy comes in many different ways.
  7. IMHO, this has been the best read I have seen on this website. Very thoughtful, insightful and full of desire to move the gay community and esp. gay escorts decriminalization laws forward. I have to say I truly admire Steven for being so active in this fight and in others. I feel that Lucky and his generation helped pave the pathway for the current legal protections we have. But, as Steven points out, the fight isn't over and others have taken to moving other areas forward. I never thought I'd see gay marriage legal in the USA in my lifetime. It was a truly amazing moment for me. I doubt I'll ever use the right, but I love that I can if I want to. I have also never thought I'd see prostitution decriminalized in the USA. But, I hope I am wrong on that one as well. Hats off to everyone who fights for our community in either small or large ways, whether it be with contributions or letters or marches or posts to raise awareness. They are all needed and appreciated by our entire community.
  8. I have stayed in over 20 hotels in Bangkok and never had a problem bringing a guest back. I always book for 2 people. Rarely questioned and when questioned, I let the guy leave an ID at the front and it is done. I think most hotels are the same.
  9. Everyone deserves a good lawyer. I don't fault anyone for looking for good legal counsel. And, I can't name many high profile attorneys that are in the business for helping others only. It is a business, and they are there to make money. I have seen of recent a law professor get ousted from a job because he represented a scumbag. Everyone deserves good council. I hope we don't get to the point where doctors are told they are horrible for teaching a sleaze patient.
  10. My goodness, he is sexy!
  11. Agree. Your reports are excellent. Thank you. I totally agree with your summary and having lived in both places for years at a time, I have made my final nest in Bangkok for this reason. I also find it so easy to find things in Bangkok and I like being in a bigger city.
  12. As always, reports are informative and full of great information. Thank you.
  13. Hong Kong Airways has really cheap flights from LAX to Bangkok under 400 USD economy and 1600 USD Business Class. https://www.justfly.com
  14. One of my favorite burger joints is Fatty's Bar. The burgers are excellent and the other food is also great. I like their pizza as well. Their sliders are great as are their chicken tenders and onion rings. Their pastrami is one of my favs! They deliver via Lineman to all areas as well (Food Panda to some areas). If you are in Bangkok, give them a test run as it is really great food! https://www.facebook.com/fattysbardiner/ 598/66 asoke-dindaeng road Bangkok, Thailand 10400
  15. I have been mugged in Brazil and it was in day time. It was also when economy was in the shitter but the USD was strong. I love Brazil and the guys there. I know the OP is going to have a blast! Club 117 in Rio!
  16. I have now had 7 boxes sent to me in Thailand and each one arrived without any issues or custom problems. The extra 9 pounds makes a difference on what I can order and I like the vitamins and protein bars for here.
  17. I have another friend coming into town shortly so I hope to get back out soon and revisit every bar in the area. However, I think I'll start with Lucky Boys as there were so many on stage I could not see them all very well and I need to pick a seat closer to the action next time. I didn't try Tawan for a while. Any word on that recently?
  18. I do a yearly health check up plan at Bumrungrad. I find the level of service excellent and the care of the staff amazing. They offer prearranged packages and I also get an HIV test at the same time. Everything is done in less than 4 hours and the results are with you and you are on your way out the door. I have not had a colonoscopy for ages but now over 50. The doctor said I need to have one so I have one scheduled in a few months. How often do others get these? Does anyone use the checkups in local hospitals? I find the convenience of doing everything in one morning very convenient. https://www.bumrungrad.com/en/health-check-up-center-bangkok-thailand-jci-best/check-up-packages
  19. Stayed at one near JFK recently with an 8 hour or 12 hour rate. Worked great for me. But, for this, two hours would be more than sufficient.
  20. I went into the area to meet a friend. I had a guy at my apartment for the weekend and would not have taken someone to my place while he was here. And, I hate the short stay rooms. Super A said they had a room upstairs but I do not like those places.
  21. I met up with a friend last night for some gallivanting around the city. As he is only in town for a few days and we have similar tastes, the bar choices were easy. We started at Screwboy and had a nice time. There were several cute guys there, not too many customers and no pressure at all to buy someone a drink. However, I did find a cute Cambodian I liked and had a drink with him. He was sweet and conversational. We then went over to Fresh Boys (I think that was the name. The 2nd Floor bar near Screwboys) and they had a plethora of cute guys. There were many that caught my attention and an old mamasan from Pattaya I knew so I had fun. We then went to Lucky Boys. There must have been 50 guys on stage and also some stunners. This place was popping with talent. My friend picked a few guys that he knew for drinks and I knew he was set for the night so I left. I would have had a guy that I wanted to meet for a drink for the mamasan from Screwboys told me to visit SuperA Boys and I did. I am glad I did. I had a great time. I had 5 guys over for a drink. The cost was 150 baht per drink so very reasonable. The boys were all 19 and obviously pretty new from their demeanor. They spoke no English and were from the local area. I enjoyed one especially. But, it was late so I tipped them all 500 baht as I enjoyed my time there and left. While waiting for my Grab, 4 of those boys jumped on motorbikes and left. I guess my tip was what they are looking for and they got it and moved on for the night. This told me that perhaps if I want to see one again, I'll go early and meet one before he disappears. There is no death to the gay scene in Bangkok. It has changed and it is different but it is still fun, enjoyable and everyone can find someone they like (if they like males).
  22. Well, hell, yes, the Republican agenda is anti-gay. Has been for years and I don't see that changing in the future.
  23. The last episode of the season left me absolutely speechless! Shocked! Stunned! Dang.
  24. Pauleiro, great advice. Thank you. I have met many on the Internet before Grindr and the online apps. I always met with someone and had someone to translate for me if they didn't speak English. I had one guy who I met online and stayed with me for a few months. It was a lucky pick. I think there is a post in the forum with his photo. There are ways to alleviate any risk. Be careful and be smart and that is not just in Brazil, but anywhere. When I was in NYC, I met a guy off of Craig's List who was hot! A very masculine thug (my type). I met him and he was more feminine that my drag queen bf at the time. When I asked him about his masculine stamp, he said, "I am a butch queen" and snapped his fingers. Needless to say, you can't always tell what you are getting online.
