In taxi at 15:15, at hotel - 16:20. 525 baht including surcharge and tolls. Tarntawan is a basic hotel, quite adequate, no luxury, offers room service (which I didn't use), perfectly located, $70 per night through Agoda. Yesterday I asked around for a possible stay in Dec, since I'll probably have to cancel HK. Baht per night: Tarntawan - 2200 Siam Heritage - 2300 Tawana - 3300 Le Meridien - 7000 !!!!!!! TBC
November 19, 20196 yr I'd recommend you not stay at Siam Heritage or Tawana, visitors may be an issue there
November 19, 20196 yr I only stayed in Red Planet Surawong, I really like the rooms and the water pressure from the shower, but its only suitable 4 backpackers like me.
November 19, 20196 yr Check Tarntawan on Agoda. It's usually much cheaper there....though I realise it's the high season. We're there in January (we booked early) and are paying only 60% or so of your price.

November 19, 20196 yr Yes Siam Heritage or Tawana are not guests freindly many reports in the past about this you can't ignore.Althogh they have excellent location I would not recommend book this hotels.

November 19, 20196 yr Why do posters feel the need to stay in Silom hotels. AirBnB has so many apartments on soi 3. Its not far from Patpong, and you can "live like a local" as they say. The sub-soi directly behind Bangkok Bank has some great food. Anon's 88 Eatery and Bar on the main 3 is great.

November 20, 20196 yr Arrived Swampy just before midnight. taxi with tolls and tip 400. Took 25 mins total, of which 5 or so needed to get out of taxi lot. Somewhat proud of self, plane landed at E9 and multiple walkways later which filled with multitudes as more planes arrived. I took the easy way and used the “monk lane” to clear immigration. So just one hour from getting off the plane to check in.
