Back again in the colorful country of Colombia. First few days in Bogota. Chapinero is still a fine place to stay. I learned some additional 'do's and don'ts' about where to go at what time. But it's something you get used to. I would recommend to invite a local boy for drinks and dinner; he gives you a lot of useful info. 

This time I invited a guy over, I visited cabinas and sauna and went to other guys places and used a motel in Calle 58. It all went fine: I tell the boys I'm keen on securety, I don't bring valuables, if the come over I tell them I need to check them in with ID. People here understand those precautions. Next time I will use the motels more. It's a safe option we're I feel fine to take big, tall, muscle guys and were you won't disturb the neighbors if you get pounded. In my case I took a 28yo, 1.86m, fit black guy (from Cali) who drilled me from here to eternity! He fucked so hard, unbelievable!

I have mentioned this in the other thread about Mexico, but I will repeat here.  You can install a GPS spoofing apps, and test your luck on Grindr local site, then decide if it is worthwhile to make the trip yourself.  You should also read the story in another thread about a guy pulling out a knife from his backpack in the room.

@KevinC : A lot of guys could avoid substantial guess work if they just researched the country they plan on visiting beforehand.  This forum has been an excellent resource for me and I always try to help out fellow travelers in need.  Unfortunately, many guys don't take full advantage of the information provided by the pioneers here who take time out of their busy schedules to educate us.  Guys like Snwbrdr015 are part of the reason that I mustered the courage to travel for pleasure internationally.  I'm thankful that this forum exist and I'm grateful to all the guys who so willingly share their experiences here for all to learn from.   

The truth is if you are not literate, you simply do not read info.  It’s a habit of mind.  We literate people would read the label of a product we are buying whereas a non-literate would simply ignore the text and go by the picture on the label.  In blogs and comments, few would care to go back to earlier posts and would ask the same question that has been asked (and answered) numerous times over.

Second best advice: get informed on your destination, the do's and don'ts and the experiences of others. Best advice: use common sense.

The guys seem to have a hard-on all the time and just want to get their rocks off. At least in a motel you come together (no pun intended) and, very important, you leave together. This is safe. You both now that you've still got your wallet and phone. Yes, both. It's safer for the guys to. 

Sometimes, when I've met a guy a few times and the voice in my had gives an 'all clear', I'll take a guy to my apartment. All my valuables are stowed away; I carry ample cash. Yes, I still could take a risk, but so would you back home. At least give yourself some time to observe the guy before hand.

I too had a bad experience and was robbed once. But I made mistakes I wouldn't make now.

My latest trip was flawless! Fucked my brains out. Met the hottest, sweetest and fuck craziest guys again. Got myself more at ease with the use of former mentioned motels.  Even went to one with a guy that was hitting on me in the street ;-). I can give some directions in that direction too if anyone is interested.
