It must be a code they have used previously.  When I put the code in it told me I've already used this product.

Good marketing for Uber though.  Using the same code as was used previously limits existing users to only 1 use.

I’ll take Uber over taxi any day.  When I go to airport next week. Uber  $15.    Taxi $45.     Uber driver gets out and says hello, helps with luggage, and hands me a bottle of water.   Taxi driver sits there impatiently waiting for me struggling with luggage. He won’t turn on A/c because he doesn’t like it.   Uber takes credit card, taxi driver won’t even though he has machine.   No more taxis for me in my town. 

Whatever.

It two years Uber will be gone anyway.

Because all cars will be driverless?

Well that's five to seven years down the line.

In two years their problem will be they've overextened themselves with credit based on expected growth in countries that are now banning them.

I don’t like Uber, but use Lyft all the time. I absolutely hate taxis for the reasons cited above.

Lyft is a great well funded company.

Uber is not.

If Uber goes, I’ll use Lyft.  But for now, Uber is 100% more convenient for me.   I’ve used them 100 times without the hint of an issue.

There’s an Uber training site a few blocks away. The drivers chain smoke and leave butts on the street and sidewalks. Really disgusts me.
