From time to time we hear about people who talk about good old times , where Corujinha and Maxim’s were great meeting points full of GP’s. As we know, the places are still there, but GP’s are long gone . If we want to revive old days, we have to tell the GP’s in the saunas that we will be at Maxine’s in the afternoon, pre- sauna and at Corujinha in the evenings , post- sauna. I think the GP’s will come back . Don’t they go where the trade is? 

They would be moving along a continuum from cloistered brothel club at one end to less anonymity and closer to street-hustling at the other extreme, wouldn't they? The ones I know tend to shy away from greater public visibility.

I might get a subdued nod of greeting at Walter's sandwich cart, corner Candido Mendes and Gloria. It is, though, possible to pick up there.

It is a challenge to alter established patterns without the perks of instant gratification while you are building the thing you think they will cum to.

The era of Corujinha's and Maxim's is finished - it's over.
