Weather was not the best except yesterday, Saturday....Beautiful beach day The saunas were decent...Thursday night was not good at all at Pointe....117 was a little better Definitely saw some old regulars and a few new guys... Friday was decent at 117...a good crowd....Point was terrible...I could go to sleep there Inflation is definitely happening in Rio like it is around the world Hung out in Vidigal with a great friend....great food, music, sights...views! All in all....great trip Already purchased a ticket for October

That doesn’t include the cost of the nearby love hotel (because to take park trade back to your place would be pure insanity). Today’s prices are 150 - 200 reais, and the exchange rate is 4.73:1.

You could probably get something for 80 reais in 2012 from the twinks and average looking guys at Meio Mundo. 80 was possible at Salvador saunas back then too.
June 1, 20224 yr Active Members 10 "plus" years ago ... yes New Meio Mundo/Fragata. Boys next door type - personally I feel that at that period, the selections there are much better than 'recently'. Think I paid 80 with gozar then. I remembered occasionally got offered 50s but unfortunately those are not my type.

I have no idea what the rates were in the 80s and 90s when I was a kid

Not sure what the for cruising in a park would be in Rio when they have perfectly safe saunas with a huge variety... Some of you guys just have some interesting (weird) tastes....But to each his own
June 1, 20224 yr I remember a guy that I met in Rio from USA, loved Cinelandia area, park, street, porno theatres, Corujinhas (who didn't like that place)..... I used to pick up guys at night across the street from Republica and had awesome times with them....inside the park, only daytime. Maybe it's the thrill or getting someone NOT in the sauna or not paying the expenses of the sauna? How many times have you been to a sauna and ended up with nothing....yet wasted your time and money. I don't get going to the beach (during the day, lol) But lot's of people do it..... people are weird and straight people are even more weird 😆

I skipped 2013 and remember in 2014 being surprised that the guys at Lagoa were FIRMLY asking for 100. Therefore, I think in 2012 I was paying 70-80 and I wasn't going for average guys. 2014 was also the first time I went to Rio in a while so I can believe the rates had been higher in Rio for a few years, back then when it was full of tourists.
