Popular Post floridarob Posted September 16 Popular Post Posted September 16 Still traveling through South America (I’m in Rio now, review on that coming later), but wanted to share some notes on the places I’ve already hit: Iguazú Falls 🌊🌴 The Falls: Did the Argentina side only — miles of trails, tons of spray, and every bit as breathtaking as expected. Where I Stayed: Stayed in Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil) which was an easy base. Extra Adventure: Crossed into Ciudad del Este, Paraguay for a night of drinking — no passport stamps needed for a quick visit. Gritty but a fun little side trip. Tip: Wear good shoes and be ready to get wet — it’s part of the experience. Curitiba 🇧🇷 City Vibe: Clean, organized, with a European feel. Lots of green space and felt pretty safe.... I'd come back here again. Gay Nightlife: Club 773 Sauna – Younger/rougher crowd, good cruising. Best nights: Tuesday, Friday, Sunday. Opinião Sauna – One of the oldest in Brazil, has a solid following and still delivers. Best nights: Wednesday, Saturday. Porto Alegre 🇧🇷 City Vibe: Southern flavor, kind of a blend between Brazilian and Argentine influences. Gay Nightlife: Sauna Lux – Old-school setup, but surprisingly lively. Met a cutie there who was new to the sauna scene and… let’s just say he was enthusiastic. 😉 Wrap-Up (So Far) ✈️ Iguazú = jaw-dropping nature + easy three-country hopping. Curitiba = saunas with clearly defined “hot nights.” Porto Alegre = Sauna Lux was good Now in Rio de Janeiro, which I’ll cover separately once I’ve got more time, too many hot guys with big dicks, not enough time 🤷♂️ 2025-09-09 13.09.16.mp4 vinapu, Mavica, PeterRS and 9 others 9 3 Quote
Peter Parker Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Thank you for this excellent report on Curitiba and Porto Alegre. Based on it, I’m planning my first visit to Curitiba and a return to Porto Alegre (my first since 2017) next summer. :) floridarob and Xclay 2 Quote
Members Xclay Posted September 16 Members Posted September 16 Yep. Brilliantly succinct yet so much valuable info! Really happy you had fun in Porto Alegre and Curitiba. I also like them a lot but they are not always popular here. Peter Parker and floridarob 2 Quote

People try to compare other places in Brasil to SP & Rio. These other places can be easier on the wallet and good for a change of scenery, but still have what we're ultimately looking for. babybear2 Posted September 22 Posted September 22 It is not your first time to Curitiba & Porto Alegre, right? You are one of most seasoned Brazil traveler. Please share about the rest of your trip. Quote
floridarob Posted September 24 Author Posted September 24 I've been to POA before, Curitiba was a first because no one has said anything good about it, yet I liked it. in POA generally I have a good time, but not worth a separate trip. I was traveling with my bf and we wanted to see as many places possible and they were kind of on the way. Quote

While in Curitiba-- my friend and I went to the sauna you mentioned; he had a super-great time, for many a guy flocked to him. As for me, I, unfortunately, was out of commission and only went along for the ride. ...could not experience any of the guys, for a hottie in Rio had "fucked" my throat so to disable it. It was out of commission; thus NO kissing. The guys asked my friend why I was not partaking; his response was something sexy. I desired what they had to give and offer, but I could not have and enjoy! ...went to Foz alone and stayed 3 day--a little too many for a solo traveler unless you're quite extroverted. ...didn't engage in any play but did enjoy the fauna and those mighty falls that had lots of water--met a Jewish couple from the States who piqued my interest in Salvador, Bahia. It was already on my itinerary, but what they shared about its being the most African of cities in Brazil had me desiring that much more. After my first visit, I managed to go two other times. That's where I had met that fabulous taxi driver who was extensively discussed "back-in-the-day." He came to my hotel room during the early afternoon and gave me a solid fuck. At the end he asked if I wanted to see him later. I, like a damn fool, said no. Every time that I think about that past trip, I always tell myself that another visit from him would really had made that trip. He would have extended "his all" to me. Guess he's in his 40s or early 50s by now, for it's been over 20+ years since I made my 11 or 12 visits (all over) trips for the (culture and men) HEY you guys who are beginning to travel to "MOTHER BRASIL," GO THERE; APPRECIATE the GREAT VIBE, the varied cultures, and yes, yes, yes, yes: THE MEN who kiss oh so friggin' divinely, sensually, and hell yes, mighty sexily!!
