I stayed here a few days last week. The price was very reasonable and thought I’d give it a go. The room is exactly as pictured. The bed is incredibly comfortable which was surprising for a room at this price point. As for crushing, the design isn’t really set up for it. You don’t really walk past any of the cabins as they all open onto small passageways off the main hallway. People do stalk the halls late at night and there are common showers on the 6th floor, frosted glass for the show offs The guests are mainly Chinese/Taiwanese and can be very direct when wanting something. My first day there, actually within an hours of checking in when I was checking out the 6th floor, a Twink said hi and joined me in the lift. He gave me a hug, give me a squeeze and asked for my room number:) I would never have the courage to do that! If you’re after a cheap comfortable room give it a go - 2000B to have someone join you so that could be a dealbreaker for many. If you are looking for cruising, check out the Togayther Hostel. I stayed there in January and it is built for cruising. Very little sleep happens there. I also checked out MyBed Ratchada after seeing it in a couple of porn videos. It was full when I was there and sex was everywhere. I got very little rest the three days I was there. People either approach you in the hallway or just open your curtain and climb into your capsule. Action wise, i preferred MyBed over Togayther, maybe because it is out of the way and people have to take what’s available instead of spending hours on the apps. The benifit of Togayther is the location and unlimited pass to 1/0 sauna. Mybed is a little out of the way, has no elevator and again focussed on the young Asian market. I went on a tangent there - Togayther Hotel is a great choice for a budget room in the heart of Silom, but don’t expect a sex-a-thon. But it can’t be completely ruled out either.

Sure. I was definitely the odd man out. I’d say the clientele ranged from early twenties to late thirties, with yours truly being the exception. I think a lot of these newer gay businesses focus on the Chinese market, fairly successfully too. Silom comes alive during Chinese holiday periods and promotions are designed around them. That being said, the promoters see my money the same as any other customer and I get the same welcome.

To add my observations, I went to the Friday night shows highlighted above, mainly to take the chance to see First up close. I arrived just before the 1230 show which started with a Drag Queen performance, then the three lads came out, each in a different section. I was closest to Moon. They were wearing jocks, harnesses and a see through plastic butchers apron to start. Moon lost the jocks pretty quick, followed by the apron. I’d probably be disappointed if it didn’t pan out the same way next time, so unless they have a performer I’m really keen on I’ll skip it.

I’m in Bangkok for a short visit on the end of a larger holiday. Early this evening (07 Oct) I was deciding on whether to get a massage, do some shopping or have dinner when it started raining. I was kinda stuck and found myself outside of the new Wellmax venue, so I figured I might as well check it out. Opened in August it promises to be a new concept in Saunas. If you’ve heard of it you would probably also be aware it has an age limit of 55. I am a touch under that but was not asked to verify. Pay on arrival and you’re given an electronic bracket that opens your locker. Everything is on the one floor, with the usual layout of wet area, maze, private rooms and rest areas. What is does differently is they what I’d call an instagram aesthetic - themed areas that people would love to get the perfect pic at - if cameras were allowed:) What you can do instead of update your reels is fuck a lad in an actual tuk tuk. Or see how many people can have sex in a Maui Thai ring, or even on the BTS. The crowd is 70% Chinese/Taiwanese, 25% local and 5% other. 90% are 20-35 and gym fit, think muscle boys, twinks, some chubby lads, and then me:) I definitely stood out and most of the crowd weren’t interested, but it only takes one or two to show interest, then other seem to think it’s ok to play with you. Ended up spending most of my time with a muscular Thai guy with an amazing body and beautiful ass. I didn’t get to try the tuk tuk but did get to fuck in a Muai thai ring, so I can tick that off the list. A great innovation for Bangkok is line dispensers in rooms! Genius! And two things I have not seen anywhere: the private rooms, I only counted 5 or so, have glass doors with internal blinds, so the occupants can adjust to their level of privacy required. Great for a voyeur:) The other is a game where you upload a selfie to o their page and people vote of the most popular. It didn’t seem to really get anyone’s attention. Water, juice, ice cream and noodles are available in the relaxation area. Would I recommend it? If you are under the age limit you could give it a go, or boycott as a protest. There are so many other venues in Bangkok competing for the gay dollar. The crowd are absolutely stunning, no question of that. Not sure if I’ll be back, but I did have a great time, though I was quite prepared to leave without getting lucky. It's located in the basement of the Wall St Tower on Surawong Rd.

I'm glad to see some has gone into Super A recently. I always wonder about it and Nature Boy when I pass them during the day. I'll be sure to check out Super A when I'm in town next month. Not sure if y curiosity will extend to Nature Boy though

Heaven is probably a good choice. There are so many in Bangkok, it's one Ive not gotten to.

Im not sure where I would recommend. Many of the saunas can be difficult to navigate, uneven floors, tight winding stairways and a lack of adequate lighting. If you have no mobility issues I would suggest Krubb or Sauna Mania. Krubb is over 4 floors, so lots of steps, but it has a nice bar on the top where you can have a drink, a dip in the spa and check out all the talent. Sauna Mania isnt on as many floors and is a bit more rough around the edges, but it is closer to the gay area so gets more western tourists, so you wont feel out of place there. Honestly there are so many to choose from, its not as simple as the old days with Babylon/everywhere else. I havent even touched on the huge number of gay onsens that have sprung up in recent years. WhTever you choose I hope you have a great time.

I had heard of this place and was curious. I then saw hotel prices over the NYE period so figured its the perfect time to try it out, so I've booked a few nights in the dorm over New Years. Could be fun. I stayed at a hostel in Tokyo that was similar. When I checked in the manager asked if I was gay, when I answered yes he said, I thought so, you'll enjoy the third floor:) Open showers and understanding the place is cruisy makes people pretty adventurous. I'll be sure to report back.

Smalls Jazz Bar in Sathorn is a great little bar. Been a few times. Some good bars and resturants nearby too,

Joiners no problem. Rooms large and comfortable, but dated. The biggest pluses are cost, location, and the pool. I'll be back there next week!
