Popular Post Collins Posted yesterday at 05:48 PM Popular Post Posted yesterday at 05:48 PM Hi. I’ve been in Bogota for 4 days with 2 more days here before heading to Medellin. a few thoughts as it’s my first time here: Museums: Museos del Banco de la República is a charming and beautiful little museum. It wasn’t too crowded. I appreciate Botero, he’s never been at the tops of who I love, but the pieces and sculpture they had were top notch and the layout and curation was excellent. Better than expected. Also, it was pretty cruisy. I chatted in my shitty Spanish with two guys visiting from Cartagena, a couple, they invited me over but I had lunch reservation. We traded numbers, but didn’t meet up. They left today. Que lastima b/c they were sexy. A couple other guys made some eyes also. Museo del Oro was another surprise. I’m much more of an art museum fan than history or artifacts. But it was well laid out. Super informational and interesting and the lighting was so good. Food: I did the fancy stuff. Leo and El Chato which are yeh two highest rated Colombian restaunts at #54 and #72 on the 100 best restaurants of the world list. They were fine. I’ll chalk it up to I’m not the biggest fan of Colombian food in general 😳. Harry Sasson was a standout tho. It’s an OG of the dining scene I’m told and it’s worth going for the beautiful room and the tortilla española and heart of palm salad alone. It’s very old Colombia… waiters in jackets, white tablecloths, excellent service, beautiful traditional room. But it wasn’t fussy. The other standout was La Puerta Falsa Restaurant. It’s tiny, 200+ years old and worth the hype. Yes it’s in all the guidebooks and yes you have to wait in line but the anjiaco and hot chocolate were soooooo good. I wanted a tamal too so I ordered one but it was way too much food. I couldn’t finish it and felt really guilty like a wasteful gringo. Just know that portions are huge if you go. Shopping: there has been one store that blew me away, it’s called St Dom. It only carries high end Colombian designers and they are both cutting edge and really high quality. I was super impressed. My experience with Colombian design is the quality is a little missing and the design is pretty basic. St Dom changed my mind. It’s in a beautiful space. The staff are helpful, flirty and charming. One guy who was managing particularly so. I said I’d go back and he gave his number. He had a great personality that won me over so that’ll happen (maybe tonight!) Guys: I’m not an apps guy. I’m now in my 40s and idea of staying out for Teatron isn’t my thing anymore. But I have followed you all and the tips. Met a guy at the gym who was really hot. And got a 4 hands from two twinks from here. Physically not exactly my type, but it was easy, safe and they were eager and we had fun. https://co.mileroticos.com/escorts-gay/vergones-follones-unicos-cons-eguridad-discrecion-en-chapinero-sede-edificio/25247891/ I like twunks and muscular who are on the shorter side and bottoms or taller muscle tops. Receiving oral and making out are important, experiences so far haven’t had a lot of that. Maybe it is cultural? If anyone has someone that you’d recommend and either has an ad or is ok with you sharing their info, DM me. Going in cold lends to so many hits and misses. Recs are better. Happy to share in return. I’m going horseback riding outside of city tomorrow and then Montserrat and a hike on next to last day. Anything (or anyone) I’m missing? Gottab, iendo, tm_nyc and 2 others 4 1 Quote
Collins Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago I forgot to ask. Do folks know the process to get an eSIM for a US iPhone with a Colombian number that I can use on WhatsApp? I’d rather not use my US number on WhatsApp for a lot of reasons. Would love to have it set up before medellin. thanks! Quote
12is12 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Collins, Kudos for starting off with tourism, food, shopping. I heartly recommend taking an hour drive north 2 visit La Catedral de Sal. Unique place. The fotos in the mileroticos link dont look tempting; curious this new agency doesnt show more flesh. Why did u mention "safe"? What gave u the secure feeling? How much do they charge? Sorry, cant help with the esim. FunFifties 1 Quote

Prefer not to miss gym days and like to see the world right when I travel. Not tired and hung over. But we are all different. How old are you? Not sure why horseback riding be code for bareback. You’ve traveled a lot it seems from your posts. Let me know if you hv eSIMs or guy recs. Thanks! Quote

(Gremlins thing) last night in Bali I went out at midnight and my hookup, just left to go to work at 9am..... so 3rd shift... Brazil/Colombia I do 2nd shift 😝 There is no special "horseback code" or secret term for bareback riding; it is simply referred to as "riding bareback". This term means riding a horse without a saddle, and sometimes without a pad. T-Mobile's international roaming provides free data and texting in 215+ countries for many plans Quote

I still use the old sim cards myself, but I'm pretty sure they can configure that for you at a claro shop. Search for 'CAV claro' in google maps and go to the nearest one. They will probably ask for your passport. floridarob 1 Quote

Would love to have it set up before medellin. thanks! Going to suggest pre-purchasing an eSIM online. Only because the process in Colombia is overly complicated and involves much waiting around for your turn. https://esim.holafly.com/esim-colombia Alternately, if you would prefer to deal with someone face-to-face, there are dozens of eSIM sellers advertised all along Calle 10 in El Poblado, Medellín. They are very likely to be able to offer service in English as well. Expect to pay gringo pricing. For comparison, I currently pay 54000COP for unlimited data and North American calling (Movistar). Your eSIM for one month should be right around half that amount -- 24000 - 28000 COP. Enjoy you trip -- and please keep sharing any restaurant reviews. Quote
