Guys Familiar with Both Colombia and Brazil: Comparing Hiring in Bogotá/Medellin with SP/Rio

An avid Brazilophile, I have limited experience with Colombia. Yet, in a couple of weeks, I will find myself in Medellin for 4 days, followed by Bogotá for another 4. My time will be limited bc my unslutty husband will (atypically) be with me, the trip occasioned by his need for 4 more Hyatt nights (and thus we'll staying at the Hyatt Place in Bogotá, undecided in Medellin)

Enough boring background--my fear is that with my limited time (only parts of 8 days, basically daytimes while my husband hits the museums), I'm going to stagger around (figuratively) wasting a lot of time.

I've read all the Colombia posts from the last year, and it seems options for "beginners" in Colombia are somewhat limited. A first-timer to Brazil can be off the plane and at the sauna within the hour. It seems that options are much more diffuse for beginners In Medellin (Fercho's +57 (312) 2717925)  and Bogotá (a service reachable by Telegram, account: 3057512990; the St. Moritz/Gigolo Erotic House, and Teatron) These seem much less discussed in the Colombia forum than the saunas are in the Brazilian one, so I infer they are not as widely used as the saunas in Brazil.

I'm interested by whatever differences between the Colombia and Brazilian experience of hiring (and meeting, having sex with...)scorts/GPs, though I am (self-interestedly) most interested in discussions of differences that will help me to navigate my Colombian experience and find the Colombian(s) of my dreams😎

I admit I'm a little worried that after reviewing about 100 mileroticos ads I found only one I would be very excited to meet, (and another 7-8 fairly excited), whereas of 100 garotocomlocal ads, the numbers would be much higher--although so often lately I click on their Whatsapp only to find out I already met them!🤣  I seek as many as possible of the following: >180cm (nearly mandatory) strong features, fit to muscular (not skinny), good kisser, 20cm+, endurant and preferably bbk. A much higher proportion of the Colombians on the respective sites seemed to be twinks. I also found a spectacular one in rentmen which can give an idea of my type: rentmen.es/Josephtormo (195cm!) 😋

So, you are correct in some ways, the saunas in Colombia are not really about hiring, although some of them have guys for massage that can be contacted reasonably quickly. The saunas in Colombia are busier socially and in line with Brazil around the end of the working day. I've always enjoyed the saunas in Medellin but its a very different vibe from say 117 or 202 in Rio. In respect to your type, again not necessarily so easy in Colombia, in general the men are less tall than in Brazil average in Colombia is around 177cm but they are well endowed so that shouldn't be a problem.

If you are around Poblado and go on Grindr or Scruff there will be some guys who are available for hire, and will often message with their services.

Bogota the same, but you do have as you mentioned the St Moritz option, but the last few times I was there, the guys were definitely more twinkish.

@Chucky is locally based in Medellín and offers sound advice and insights. As I have posted here in the past, the scene in Medellín is a tougher nut to crack for the first timer. From the trip duration and expectations you described, I am going to suggest you organize a couple of encounters with Rent.men rather than chase down the local happenings. Once you are in contact, ask those guys if they can recommend other scorts with your desired attributes.  Most of those escorts have connections with the guys they do threesomes (and more-somes) with, and will have short list of recommended providers.

Since the Mileroticos listing left you cold, I would also suggest checking back. Many of the scorts on offer travel around Colombian cities, or even do the circuit of Mexico-Panama-Colombia. So new listings are frequent, plus the Mileroticos algo is weird, does not always show the newest listings. Try searching the city listing using heights, starting with your minimum of 180cm.

Good luck.

This ^^ is absolutely true. On the weekends you will get a smorgasbord of stunning listings that will be "new" to you. At least 30% of these are escorts. This is not a bad option when you are there.

@macdaddihas given good advice here. With your limited time the above should allow you to have some good encounters and if you treat the guys well and establish a good rapport with them, they usually have "mates" in the same line of work, and with photos of them on their phones. Let us know how you get on.

Thanks @Chucky agreed. @Canadianbtmguy if you prefer, send me a DM and. I can connect you with some alternative options. You didn’t note your working level of Spanish. Do know that is a real differentiator in Medellín. Despite a growing foreign tourism boom, they are just catching up with demand for English language services. If you are comfortable with Spanish, I can make some introductions. Your move.

Sent--thanks!

I typically stay in AIrbnbs when I go to Brazil, but in CO, the Bogotá portion is because my husband needs more Hyatt nights, therefore Hyatt Place/Convention Center, and in general he prefers hotels (he might be more open to AIrbnbs if only I would just make him breakfast😋) so in Medellin we may stay at the (Accor) Tribe in tourist central.

Unless anyone knows these hotels in particular, in Colombia is there a typical policy of midrange chain hotels regarding visitors? In such hotels in Brazil I've stayed in, visitors would just come and go, like any guest, although the elevator/lift may require a key. The check or keep the ID of visitors would be ideal; the forbidding of visitors worst (although in a large hotel I dont know how that could be enforced)

Don't be surprised... @macdaddi can affirm, Hotels are very strict with visitors. I've always booked a room for 2 even though I travel alone, even so I've had some try to charge an extra guest fee, to which I've told them to just register him.

The Hampton Inn Medellin refused a Venezuelan guy because he didn't have his VZA passport or a Colombian ID.... we had to go to a sex motel. The Airbnb I rented the next trip, they let him in with his VZA id....

I'm ok with taking, registering ID's... even in places like Thailand where the risk is lower. But Colombia doesn't play around and if you room is for 2 and you invite someone, be prepared to pay or stand firm that they're visiting and not staying overnight,,,,

I forgot to mention, even though they get their ID, doesn't mean you will be scott free of problems.

In Bogota I had 2 guys up, the guy that I was in contact with didn't give his "friend" his fair share of the money, so he tried to come back to the room to get more money from me... the front desk called and said your friend is coming back up, I told them he's not allowed up and security threw him out.... they've seen it all, this was at Embassy Suites.

How does this exactly happen in a large hotel, thought?--I can't picture it--there's no way the reception can know who is and isn't staying there.  So if the Venezuelan went straight for the elevators or you met him outside and accompanied him (if the elevator requires the key) how would anyone know he wasn't staying there?  (Of course, there's the odd idiot who, even though you say just walk straight through to the elevator, somehow can't find it and goes to reception🙀)

Security at the door or elevators.... they're not new at this, they've seen it all, more with straight clients.... the stories the security at the hotels, reception and Airbnb have told me, I'm glad I'm gay.

Apart from not knowing about the VZA guy not having a Colombian ID, which I was unaware of at the time was a law to stay in a hotel.... I'm glad they do ID checks.
