I am heading to HCMC from 12/15-12/29 and looking for some reputable places to go for massage+ or escorts to hire. Not into bars/clubs or saunas.

I don't know I heard HCMC is more friendly 

I visited HCM in March 2024. I had just finished a two-week cycling tour from Hanoi to the south of Vietnam with a straight group. When I reached HCM, I had one thing on my mind. lol

I had downloaded the Spartacus app on my iPhone to see what gay venues were available in the city. The app existed as a guidebook many years back which I had used to find gay venues at the time. There were some gay saunas and clubs listed but I checked out Grindr to see who was around. I had several guys contact me. The guys on Grindr tend to be either other Western travellers or money boys (MB). 

The guy who I ended up seeing was a university student and a MB. The receptionist at my hotel had him leave a piece of ID with them before he could come to my room. It's not very discreet, but it had the advantage of being safer. 

In a week in HCMC in 2024 I met one rent man (800k I think short time) and one man I met twice who just wanted his moto fare. The apps are busy there.
