BKK Feb 2026 Trip report - Let Me Tell You Something

Prologue

I’m at BKK airport starting to write this report. I want to hold on to the memories while they are still fresh as this trip was as always eventful and fun. 

This is probably my 12th trip to my Beloved BKK. I use this forum to maintain all the wonderful memories that I don’t necessarily share with other people. First report was 2013! I was still in my late late 20’s no husband no kids! I am now 41yo, Married + 2.

I was supposed to fly to Rio for Carnival. Had everything booked. A month ago my best friend told me he decided not to come since he is not mentally at his best. I understood but was disappointed since I was waiting a long time for this vacation. I could go alone, but I didn’t feel comfortable being alone and parting in Brazil. I needed compensation and BKK was chosen easily as the best compensation money can buy. The price for direct TLV-BKK Economy with El-al was a sky rocket of 1800 USD. Decided to maximize my situation and for 2200 USD fly business with Etihad so I had an Abu Dhabi connection. 

All of the things I prebooked were with cancelation windows till the very last minute cause the Iran situation was shadowing my trip. Actually it still is, since once the first bomb is launched - Israeli air space will close. I will be calm only when the plane lands safely home. I have a backup plan of entering Israel by land border like Abraham did 4000 years ago. I really hope I don’t have to use it. Let's hope Trump waits just at least another day. Or he may have ditched the idea, who knows.  

I planned a lot. Planning makes me happy. I prebooked 6 massages for a 6 day trip! I informed V of my arrival. V is an old BKK friend that I managed to maintain some sort of contact with. If anybody is bored and want to read an overly detailed report of my first meeting with V, be my guest. He is already married in recent years and lives outside BKK with his husband. Although they are in an open relationship he told his husband he is meeting friends. He was with me the first 2 days, till I flew to CNX and he went back home. More will be explained later on the reason to fly to CNX for 1 night only. 

Flights were great, passport control too was cool with priority lane. Landed at 11:30 AM last Wednesday. 

I decided that this trip was not going to be like all the other ones where I turn into a sex addict seeking guys all the time. That decision lasted at least until passport control in Suvarnabhumi. 

I am boarding now to Abu Dhabi, Will continue actually writing about my trip soon.

Love planners 

I plan every detail of my life and trip ,it's the only way to go, 

From travel 🧳 insurance to transport, or from massages to mopeds , from drinks to dicks ! plan , otherwise plan to fail !

And please don't blame me !!;

I'm  being blamed for everything from dumping rubbish in my condo building 🏢 to shouting out in my apartment by the building manager!!

Hope you returned home safely, Too bad we missed each other  by few days, It would be nice to catch up after all those years

I know people who take as much pleasure in trip planning than in trip itself so I'm not surprised

as for abandoning your old ways, nice try  but I doubt it worked . There's something in Bangkok air which makes us less composed than we wish,  to say it mildly.
