hank75 Posted June 8 Posted June 8 From a Crime Asia Facebook group, no article link Pair of young male prostitutes apologise over road rage clash with foreigner🚨 A video clip circulating on social media showed two bar hosts chasing a foreign tourist on a motorcycle, hurling insults, and smashing his car in Pattaya, Thailand. The altercation reportedly began when the tourist braked suddenly after being followed by the motorcycle, whilst the two men claimed they were provoked by the driver honking and shouting verbal abuse at them. Fearing for his safety, the alleged victim recorded the 1 minute and 28 seconds long incident on June 1 as evidence instead of retaliating, later expressing frustration that reporting the matter to authorities would be pointless. The two men, identified as Mr Techit Saenkoung, 25, and Mr Amolnat Phanomroengsak, 28, later admitted to reporters that they pursued the vehicle whilst slightly intoxicated after a momentary lapse of judgment. Although the men claimed they initially followed the driver to a police station before leaving due to exhaustion, they apologised to residents for damaging the image of the tourist city and agreed to clarify the facts with the police. #CrimeAsia #RoadRage #Pattaya #Thailand #Tourism 🏍️ daydreamer 1 Quote
Popular Post bkkmfj2648 Posted June 8 Popular Post Posted June 8 Wow - crazy story. I am glad that the above picture was included - to make sure to avoid them on the apps here. This particularly low season is making people more aggressive - just today while walking through the Jomtien Supertown Complex after lunch - one of the massage guys (I won't say which shop) from one of the massage shops started yelling very loudly towards me - "hey mister you want massage?" I waved my hand no. Then he yelled very loudly so everyone could hear - "Come fuck me now!!" in an aggressive manner and I was at least 100 meters from where he was sitting. Many heads turned and there was no shame on his part. Travelingguy, vinapu, jimmie50 and 2 others 5 Quote
hank75 Posted June 8 Author Posted June 8 For some reason the sound on this X link doesn’t work but when you watch the other video clips circulating online with sound, it’s clear that it was a pretty scary incident for the driver. The two guys were very aggressive, banging, swearing and trying to open his (fortunately locked) car door more than once. They were drunk despite being broad daylight. When questioned by the police they claimed they were provoked and that the driver had shouted at them in Burmese but from phone footage they filmed of the driver, it’s clear he was a white farang. They were identified as working at a bar in “South Pattaya” which could very well be Boyztown. You can see that one of them has stupidly forgotten to remove his number tag “118”. I don’t know if they are familiar to any members but it would be wise to avoid! Edit: sound in embedded link works now. Driver sounds Russian and suprisingly calm floridarob 1 Quote
Mavica Posted June 8 Posted June 8 IDK, there's a lot of what happened leading up to this incident we're not seeing - and the driver may have provoked the incident. We just don't know. The driver is speaking in a language I don't recognize. PeterRS 1 Quote

Members daydreamer Posted June 9 Members Posted June 9 Surely the police saw the video taken from inside the car. If the Pattaya police were doing their job, they would have cited the motorbike driver for driving in the tunnel, as shown at the beginning of the video. The tunnel is an underpass on Sukhumvit Road, and there are signs stating motorbikes are not allowed in the tunnel. Quote
PeterRS Posted June 9 Posted June 9 i agree with @Mavica. There is almost certainly more to this story that has been revealed. The driver's language sounds Russian. Mavica 1 Quote

Regardless, 2 guys chasing a car is one thing, stopping, trying to open the door several times, banging on the window....the driver handled it calmly, someone else might've run them off the road and claimed self defense and in fear of their life....no? hank75 1 Quote

Whatever happened, looks like they were scared/pressured into submission, apologizing with their tails between their legs, so I'm sure it wasn't "just go say you're sorry"...no? Quote
