hank75 Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Grew up in poverty in Kalasin….but graduated in political science and lived life on his own terms, instead of dancing on a stage in Patpong. RIP young man. bkkmfj2648, jimmie50 and floridarob 3 Quote
PeterRS2 Posted July 30 Posted July 30 How desperately sad! There are many unanswered questions but for the time being we should consider his family, friends and all those who enjoyed his travel videos. My condolences and symphathies are with them. Quote

khaolakguy Posted Friday at 04:44 PM Author Posted Friday at 04:44 PM Grandmother grieves in Kalasin Bowornthat’s grandmother, Som Pengsuk, was waiting for more details about his death in the northeastern province of Kalasin. Ms Som, who raised Bowornthat since childhood after his father passed away, said she was heartbroken and deeply saddened that his life had ended at such a young age, according to reporters who visited her on Thursday morning. She described her grandchild as “a good person, who had been hardworking, diligent and grateful, with a cheerful personality that always brightened the atmosphere”. “Whenever he came home, children and neighbours in the village would gather around him and enjoy spending time together,” she said. The grandmother also firmly rejected any speculation about suicide. She recalled that before he left for Georgia, she told him that she wanted a karaoke set so they could sing together. “Hlun promised he would get one for me, and I imagined that by the end of the year we’d be singing songs together. But now, that day will never come.” Bowornthat’s elder sister, known as Kob, also said the family remained unconvinced by talk of possible suicide and wanted a thorough investigation into the circumstances before his death. She said her brother had been healthy, had no known medical conditions and had never shown behaviour suggesting severe stress or emotional difficulties. The family also raised concerns over unanswered questions surrounding events before his death and details from the scene, saying more information was needed before they could accept any conclusion. Popular Post bkkmfj2648 Posted Sunday at 02:36 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 02:36 PM I would like to share an essay prepared by Youtube blogger = Logan in Thailand about the recent passing of the famous Thai blogger = Hlun Solo. Logan shed light on why the Thai people are deeply mourning the loss of Hlun Solo, which Logan states is because Hlun allowed for the expansion of the mental horizons of Thai people who dreamed of traveling abroad but have limited abilities in English. Hlun showed the Thai people that even with bad English skills that it is possible to travel the world alone and still enjoy yourself. Also, Hlun showed the Thai people that it is possible to break from the collectivist mindset of doing everything together and to be able to break out and explore the world outside of Thailand on your own. It was Hlun's courage that created this dream in many in the Thai population. I hope that you all enjoy this 8 minute essay as much as I did. Irishfella, khaolakguy, jimmie50 and 2 others 2 3 Quote
