I chose a 30 min body scrub, a 60 min oil massage and the Organ 2. The cost for these treatments was 1260 baht. The body scrub was excellent, the strokes are very sensual and every crevice is reached. Afterwards I took a shower during which the masseur popped his head in and asked if I wanted to move to the VIP room for an extra 200 baht, to which I agreed. The scrub had taken place in a curtained cubicle. The massage, with lemongrass oil, began and again it was very sensual and extremely enjoyable. From there things developed and I ended up paying a much bigger tip than I had planned but it was well worth it. Because of the activities during the massage I didn't really get the full Organ 2 treatment but the masseur did make sure I got my allotted two hours. By the time we finished there appeared to be two more masseurs on duty. It was certainly a different massage experience and one that I would go for again.

I went to Dr Bear Massage today; I found it quite easily. I entered but there was no one in the entrance foyer. I waited and after a couple of minutes a well-muscled, goateed guy appeared; he told me that there was no one available to massage me until 4.15pm and as it was only 2.45pm I decided to give it a miss. Anyone know if it is best to ring beforehand to book or whether you just have to turn up and take your chance?

I only visit Thailand once a year but I am lucky in that I stay for six months ( I am retired but not over 65) I used to get a 90 day multiple entry visa which lasted for 12 months (in fact 15 if you used it carefully) Alas that is no longer available for my situation and last year instead I got three 60 day tourist visas which meant I had to have two visa runs. The previous type of visa was much more convenient because I could leave whenever I wanted, now I have to time it very carefully to make my three visas cover the six months I am there. I stay in BKK but have a few days in Pattaya every month. I count myself very fortunate, I never even dreamed of a lifestyle like this when I was working. Currently in the UK in the process of selling and downsizing to free up capital to enjoy.

Other than Babylon, if you try any of the other numerous gay saunas in Bangkok you will find many Thais who are only interested in other Thais. Also, out and about around Bangkok, you will see many gay Thai couples.
