  1. It is back and working. I have been a member of both sites for many years. I appreciate all the Hooboy, Daddy and totallyoz have done. I have been reading the thread about what they moderators are going to do with the site now and it is a bit of mess. Why has oz not stepped up and helped in this situation?

  2. Google’s ‘Project Nightingale’ Gathers Personal Health Data on Millions of Americans

Search giant is amassing health records from Ascension facilities in 21 states; patients not yet informed

Google is engaged with one of the country’s largest health-care systems to collect and crunch the detailed personal health information of millions of Americans across 21 states.

The initiative, code-named “Project Nightingale,” appears to be the biggest in a series of efforts by Silicon Valley giants to gain access to personal health data and establish a toehold in the massive health-care industry. Amazon.com Inc., AMZN -0.80% Apple Inc. AAPL 0.79% and Microsoft Corp. are also aggressively pushing into health care, though they haven’t yet struck deals of this scope.

Google began Project Nightingale in secret last year with St. Louis-based Ascension, the second-largest health system in the U.S., with the data sharing accelerating since summer, according to internal documents.

The data involved in the initiative encompasses lab results, doctor diagnoses and hospitalization records, among other categories, and amounts to a complete health history, including patient names and dates of birth.

There is this amazing lady named Hillary Clinton. :)  I would love to see her back in the scene. :) But, I did say 1 year ago I did not want that and there were tons of others. But, I am open to her.

I also like Pete and Castro. Pete is at the top of my list and in the middle. You disagree?

No, no, no!  Not Hillary again.  She turns off so many people.

A political insider just told me today that team Hillary has recently been quietly spreading the word that she may enter the 2020 race if Biden melts down. :hyper:

Brazil: Steve Bannon to Advise Bolsonaro Presidential Campaign

Political strategist Steve Bannon, a founding member of the far right-wing news website Breitbart News and former chief advisor to United States President Donald Trump, will be an advisor to Brazilian Presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro for the upcoming elections in October.

The announcement was made by Bolsonaro's son and congressman, Eduardo Bolsonaro.

“Bannon said that Bolsonaro's mission in Brazil” will be more “arduous” than Trump's presidential campaign, said Eduardo Bolsonaro.

He also affirmed that “Bannon had made himself available to help” Bolsonaro's presidential run. “This, obviously, doesn't include anything financial. We've made this point very clear. The support will come in the form of giving internet tips, analysis, interpreting data, that type of stuff.”

Google is shutting down Google+ after it exposed user data and neglected to tell anyone

If a social network that no one uses gets breached and no one uses it, does it make a sound?

Apparently Google+ users weren’t the only ones not paying attention to the social network. According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Google discovered a “software glitch” earlier this year that allowed third-party developers access to some 500,000 private profile data since 2015, including “full names, email addresses, birth dates, gender, profile photos, places lived, occupation and relationship status.”

That’s a lot of exposed data. And to make matters worse, Google found out about it in the spring and decided not to tell anyone, reports the Wall Street Journal. The paper says the search giant said in a memo that it kept the breach private to avoid public and regulatory scrutiny. Google told the Journal that it considered “whether we could accurately identify the users to inform, whether there was any evidence of misuse, and whether there were any actions a developer or user could take in response, (and) none of these thresholds were met here.”

I didn't use Google+, but hiding the breach is NOT a good look.

GOP Operative Secretly Raised at Least $100,000 in Search for Clinton Emails

Opposition researcher’s efforts are of intense interest to investigators probing Russian election interference

WASHINGTON—A veteran Republican operative and opposition researcher solicited and raised at least $100,000 from donors as part of an effort to obtain what he believed to be emails stolen from Hillary Clinton, activities that remain of intense interest to federal investigators working for special counsel Robert Mueller’s office and on Capitol Hill.

Peter W. Smith, an Illinois businessman with a long history of involvement in GOP politics, sought and collected the funds from at least four wealthy donors as part of the plan to obtain Mrs. Clinton’s stolen emails from hackers just weeks before election day in 2016, according to people familiar with the matter and documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

Mr. Smith’s effort to find what he believed were some 33,000 deleted emails Mrs. Clinton said were personal was first reported by the Journal in a 2017 story, but the extent of his planning went far beyond what was previously known. Mr. Smith died 10 days after describing his efforts to a reporter for the Journal.

    ...

The email, dated Oct. 11, 2016, in the “Robert Tyler” account, included the subject line “Wire Instructions—Clinton Email Reconnaissance Initiative” and was addressed to Mr. Smith. The writer, who identified himself as “ROB, ” said: “This $100k total with the $50k received from you will allow us to fund the Washington Scholarship Fund for the Russian students for the promised $150K.” The Journal couldn’t determine if such a fund actually exists.

I wish I had kept a list of characters because there are so many to keep up with.  This is they guy who left a suicide note that said,  “NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER”.  He also mentioned Michael Flynn as well as Steve Bannon, Kellyanne Conway, and Sam Clovis in recruiting documents.  In addition, he met with alt right troll Charles Johnson, has ties to Newt Gingrich, and worked to take down Bill Clinton with Troopergate.

    What a tangled web!

  7. Well, well, well.  Roger seems to be in a bit of trouble.

Roger Stone Sought Information on Clinton from Assange, Emails Show

Ex-Trump adviser urged intermediary to ask WikiLeaks for specific dates of rival candidate’s communications

Former Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone privately sought information he considered damaging to Hillary Clinton from WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange during the 2016 presidential campaign, according to emails reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

The emails could raise new questions about Mr. Stone’s testimony before the House Intelligence Committee in September, in which he said he “merely wanted confirmation” from an acquaintance that Mr. Assange had information about Mrs. Clinton, according to a portion of the transcript that was made public.

In a Sept. 18, 2016, message, Mr. Stone urged an acquaintance who knew Mr. Assange to ask the WikiLeaks founder for emails related to Mrs. Clinton’s alleged role in disrupting a purported Libyan peace deal in 2011 when she was secretary of state, referring to her by her initials.

“Please ask Assange for any State or HRC e-mail from August 10 to August 30--particularly on August 20, 2011,” Mr. Stone wrote to Randy Credico, a New York radio personality who had interviewed Mr. Assange several weeks earlier. Mr. Stone, a longtime confidant of Mr. Trump, had no formal role in his campaign at the time.

There is also a great discussion here for anyone watching things unwind for Roger.

Why do you think he has not been questioned? I thought he would have been.

I think he's a target.  They save the best for last.  :)

Others that are probably targets and haven't been interviewed: Ivanka, Jared, Jr, and Eric.

Yes, thinking it and proving it are two different things. It is important to note that so far, nothing has came of anything because of the chaos that happens everyday in the Trumposphere. I think that is intentional.

I do think the chaos is intentional, but I wouldn't say that nothing has come of anything because there have been indictments, guilty pleas, and cooperating witnesses.

  10. In addition, Republicans on the House Intel Committee (I'm looking at you dirty Devin Nunes) refused to issue subpoenas for Roger Stone's twitter DM's which include communications with WikiLeaks and Julian Assange (not that Roger has anything to hide).   :)

  11. I admit to having a "thing" for Roger Stone.  He fascinates me.  He's bad.  He plays dirty.  And I can't stop watching him.  When he was banned from Twitter I was heartbroken.  His meltdowns were epic.

In his most recent interview he says that 8 of his associates have been interviewed by Muller, but the public only knew about  of them.  Roger seems to be a target, and I expect the Muller team to squeeze him as hard as they have Manafort.

  12. RNC paid nearly half a million dollars to law firm representing Hope Hicks and others in Russia probes

The Republican National Committee paid nearly half a million dollars to a law firm that represents former White House communications director Hope Hicks and others in the Russia investigations, according to a new federal filing.

The RNC's $451,780 payment to Trout Cacheris & Janis adds to the mounting legal fees associated with the investigations by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III and several congressional committees of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential campaign.

Hicks hired Robert Trout, founder of the law firm, as her personal attorney in September, according to news reports. The report of the payments for legal and compliance services, contained in the Federal Election Commission report filed Sunday, is the first public disclosure of RNC payments to the law firm since Hicks hired Trout.

Three lawyers at the firm represent people in addition to Hicks in the investigations by Mueller and the House and Senate intelligence committees, according to the firm's website. Hicks, who was one of President Trump's most trusted and loyal aides, was interviewed by Mueller and the House and Senate intelligence panels in early 2018.

It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out and what happens to Hope Hicks.  I can't think of a person in Trump's immediate orbit that I don't think isn't involved in conspiring with other governments or helping to cover up.

Feds seize classified ad site Backpage.com over sex trafficking ads

The federal government has seized Backpage.com, the popular classified advertising website, CBS News' Paula Reid reported Friday. The site is frequently used for sex trafficking of adults and children. The Justice Department says the site has earned $500 million in revenue from prostitution since it was created.

The government is currently in the process of blocking the website. Parts of it are accessible, while other parts may trigger a notice specifically saying the feds have seized it.

On Friday, some visitors to the site were greeted with a message that said, "backpage.com and affiliated websites have been seized as part of an enforcement action" by the FBI, the Postal Inspection Service and the IRS Criminal Investigation Division. Another agency participating in the action is the Justice Department's Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section.
