I like Spain and have never been to Rio. I'm only sharing what i've experienced recently as I've just come back from Barcelona and was impressed with the diverse selection of hot boys at Thermas (russians, brazilians, africans and mediterranean type guys). The boys at American Boys charge 120 euros which is about two times more than the 50 euros at Thermas. For me, i think barcelona would be worthwhile revisiting and the flights from nyc are reasonable and i believe would be shorter than the flight to Rio. As for expenses, the hotel i stayed in was about 150 euros a night in the Ramblas so it wasn't too expensive. I would definitely revisit for a longer period.
