Members marcanthony Posted January 15, 2006 Members Share Posted January 15, 2006 Wanted to write a short blurb about each of these "famous" clubs in Prague, and wasnt sure whether to put it here or in the Hot Spots forum. Buts since this was "virgin" territory, I thought I'd come here! Pino's and Escape are male "hustler" clubs in Prague. Basically, you go to both for a chance to meet a working boy that you like, and go off with him. They are actually very different. Of course, bottom line is that you will like the club better that you find the boy who pushes your buttons.... but if you are planning to spend some time there, it's good to know which atmosphere is more to your liking. I actually liked the atmosphere of Pino's better. It's more like a neighborhood bar setup. There is a big bar area wtiha counter, and then are several tables and sofas all over a rectangular shaped customer area. BTW... I discovered that it is best to sit at the BEGINNING of the rectangle if you are interested in getting the pick of the lot. The boys come in through the front, and if you are sitting toward the back of the bar, the cute ones will get scarfed up before they even reach you. When you come in, they give you a ticket... and every drink you order gets written on the ticket. When you leave, you pay your ticket. It's very expensive if you lose your ticket... so don't do that. ANd be careful that other people's charges don't go on your ticket. Especially some boys like to try to get that done. There is a variety of boys at Pino's. Some are quite cute. Others appear quite strung out and jaded. If you find someone you like, you can take them back with you to your place, or Pino's actually has a little hotel that you can rent by the hour for a very cheap price. I did see some cute boys at Pino's but unfortunately for me, the two CUTEST for me, I never got to take home. One was the bartender named Martin. OMG! The other was a cute boy named Stephen... shorter dark haired boy with shaggy hair and big eyes. I really do think it was him. But someone, sitting at the front of the rectangle I mentioned above, saw him first, grabbed him, and kept him for 3 days. Did I ever learn my lesson!!!!!! Escape is very different place. That one is more like the traditional strip clubs that you see in the US. There are boys dancing on stage for a few numbers at a time in various stages of undress. It's actually a pretty small and crowded club. You enter through a heavy metal gate that buzzes you in, and like Pino's, you get a drink ticket. I really thought Escape ripped you off more for drinks... but who knows.... frankly in the CZ, it's all pretty cheap anyway. As I mentioned, there are boys dancing up on stage... one or two at a time. When they are between sets, they will mingle at your table, and if you like them, you can take them home... after they are done dancing. So unlike Pino's you often have to wait until late to take home the boy that you like. The boys here tend to more "homogeneous" as they are employees of the club rather than "anyone who needs to make money and will come into the club" like at Pino's. There were a couple that I really liked, especially this one blond bottom boy from Bratislava that I took home. But I think overall, I liked Pino's overall better. There's more the excitement of "who will come into the place tonight." LOL Anyway... both Pino's and Escape are interesting places to see and visit when you are Prague, and I would definitely go there if you are there. But if you are a regular to Montreal, and you think you will find something of equal caliber there, you likely will be disappointed. Yes, you will likely find one or two boys on every visit that will keep your interest, but it won't be the sensory overload that you tend to get on the Montreal scene. BTW... I know that there are GORGEOUS boys in Prague based on all the boys they cast in porn from there... not only Bel Ami, but also Eurocreme, Higgins, AYOR, SEVP, and others. But most of those are NOT working in these clubs. Though as I mentioned, Stephen/Renato was there and my friend once got Marcel Bouvier(Bel Ami) there (so you know they are there somewhere)! BTW. Marcel is Bi... so even though most of us know him as the gorgeous bottom boy twink in several early 2000' George Duroy films... here is what he looks like now at age 24 in a hetero movie. But several of the boys who were dancing at Escape or hustling in Pino's were from there. And they tended to be the cream of the crop. Since I had a companion from NYC with me on my last visit, I will have to say that his beauty helped me attract some of the most beautiful guys. I am sure that I would have been OK on my own, as I have made the trip a few times but he certainly added to the mix. My favorite guy was from Escape. He had a great body and a fun personality. If I remember correctly he was in his mid 20's and very tight abs. He did tell me that he was a top only but that changed the first night and he spent some time with me every day I was there. I am looking forward to seeing him on my next trip to Prague. Did you perchance wander out of Prague? I want to take some side trips this summer and will spend a few weeks in the area. I haven't been back to Prague since I made my post ... but a very good friend of mine has gone a couple of times (we were actually there together at the time of my first posting as well). There are two gay dance clubs called Termix and Geizeer... and he strongly recommends that you go there (maybe with a guide or interpreter though). He says these guys are not working boys per se... but most will go home with you for a fee... and the quality of boy at these places is pretty high, apparently. So this is definitely one approach. Epigonos... if you like muscle guys, apparently Drakes (owned by William Higgins) is also a place that you should visit. I have never been there myself. As for escorts... there's another thread in the in another forum here about one particular agency... but I really don't know much about that. A brief update on the Clubs mentioned here - Pinocchios was sold and converted to Club Temple about a year ago - now owned by an American. New name, new interior, a different scene, but still technically a rent boy bar, just not overly successful. Gejzeer is now Club Valentino - a great complex - street level bar/cafe, 2 dances floors on the next two levels down, and a couple of darkrooms. Termix as a regular gay club (with darkroom) and Escape are still in existence - Escape went through a renovation a few years ago to mixed reviews, but still has great shows - one thing they have done to greatly improve the atmosphere is a focused hiring of stunning (an somewhat, unattainable) bar staff who occasionally do a bar top dance of their own. I love European boys in general, but vastly prefer the Czechs/Slovaks. So a brief update for now, no use wasting a lot of time if there are not a lot of interested members, otherwise, please feel free to share experiences or ask questions. I still go regularly to Prague. I like to go to Escape because of the show even though the boys are asking too much and are not available before the show is over ie at least 1 am. The best is to get the phone number of a boy and get in touch with him for the following afternoon. Temple, the new Pinnochio is a place where the number of boy has decreased dramatically in the past and there are often more customers than boys. Be careful with your bill since they tend to compensate their lack of customers by overcharging the bills. Drakes is certainly a good place to go on Friday and Saturday nites if you like more rough shows (eg the "slave in the cage show" on friday nites). There are also some escorts sometimes there, but no so frequent. As has been written above, Valentino (former Gezjeer) is certainly a pick-up place, but most of the boys only speak czech and are not willing to be seen escorting. So not easy to find a boy there. Now many boys are on internet (gayromeo site for instance). But you do not always get what you have looked on the net ... Globally, Prague is still a very pleasant place to go to in my opinion. Montreal, Barcelona, Fort Lauderdale are great places go to also.
