I find it interesting that in all the e-mails, they seem to promote a website about Brent Corrigan. I can't quiet understand this. Brent is the model that claims he was underage at the time of shooting of a few of their videos. Instead of trying to distance themselves from him completely, they seem to be actively promoting him more than any other model they have ever had. I wonder what the reason behind this is? Why are they over promoting this guys site? I know they own the site. I know the own the photos. But, what on earth are they doing pushing this to the forefront of every newsletter they send? Two lines from the show "Wicked" come to mind. 1) But then again, there's plenty of blame to share. From what I’ve read about this, Bryan Kocis has got to be one big scumbag. Why are all the pedophiles in the news of late, getting off with no jail time? Ok, to be fair, a 15 year old boy probably doesn’t make him a pedophile, but his actions were still deplorable. There are also allegations that Corrigan harassed Kocis after the trial. I don’t know any of those facts, but if I had been drugged at 15 and “raped” by a 35 year old man, I’d probably want a little payback too. Why would Corrigan (when still underage) agree to make videos for Cobra after enduring this type of assault? Or, are the videos in question, those that were filmed while he was drugged in the company of Kocis? Does Kocis own the rights to the pic of Corrigan on the Cobra video homepage? If not, why is it there? Obviously Corrigan is at least 18 in that pic, so how did Cobra Video get the rights to it, if Corrigan did not sign away his rights to it? There are two separate stories... one is Cobra and the 15 yo boy in Texas. Agreed... it is sordid. The other is Corrigan who faked ID's that made him appear 18 and then made some flims with Cobra. It gets muddy after this, but apparently there was then a relatiionship of sorts between Cobra and Corrigan. This led to an "exlcusive contract" involving cars, travel, etc. The contract was signed AFTER Corrigan was 18, so there is a lot of material that Cobra made after Corrigan was really legal. When the relationship went bad, Corrigan blew the whistle on all the vids that he made prior to really being 18. One would think that before you narc’d out your employer for using underage models in their adult videos, you would stop and think about the fact that you were complicit in that illegal activity. Corrigan’s website is solicitating donations for his defense fund, for allegations, he calls crap. I don’t know any of the legal details in this, but from a distance, it would seem as though Corrigan has created his own mess based upon his need to “blow the whistle” on Cobra. Now he wants his fans to pay for a defense, no matter what the charges, which he created from faking his own ID, to blowing the whistle about it. Sounds to me like he really could be 15. Cobra now promotes Brent's website as much as its own. Why? V for Vendetta. That does not make King Cobra guilty of using an underage boy in his films. My minister always said, "Money is the root of all evil." I disagree. I would be a very good boy if I had all of Bill Gates money. But, CB, you are right. Follow the money. Want an example? How much do you think it cost to produce a video? Top to bottom? Take that number, and I promise you that is what one company pays for the wholesale price for one video that is popular. I know one video when I ran a video store that I had to order over 400 copies. They were 30 each wholesale. Do you think the video cost more than that? There is great money to be made in the making of these videos. GREAT amounts. It is a cutthroat business. Why? Follow the money. See what one video makes for a company. Once you see this, you will know what is at stake. IMHO I am sure this issue has cost Cobra tons of money. I hope they remedy the situation., I have wanted to make a video for years. I have never done so as I don't have the time. But, my idea to make one was to get 10 boys. Give them each 5% of the sales of all videos or pay them a flat fee for the scene. Most will take the later. But, the smart ones would take the percentage. If you do this, then you have them vested in the success of your video. They will promote it for you. Then, everyone wins.
