March Brazil Trip

Heading out tomorrow for Rio, Porto Alegre and Sao Paulo. Checked the weather report and looks like the next 5 days or so in Rio are going to be cloudy and rainy!....good thing most of my activities take place indoors.

Yesterday I got friended on FB by a guy I haven't seen since about 2006 or so, I have always thought of him as one of the hottest guys I have met there. He said let's meet up for lunch or dinner, and I was really surprised as it has been so many years since I have seen him and the curiosity of what he looked like now.

I really enjoy the netflix series House of Cards and I like that the whole season series comes out on one day and you can binge watch it for the entire weekend and I thought that's what I will do with this report, write it at the end and post the whole thing! but, I am getting forgetful in my advancing years so I thought maybe it would be better to do a couple of days at a time and that way maybe I wont forget what I did on some days!

I approached this trip with both the excitement I always feel when getting ready to go to Brazil and with some sadness as there is a strong likelihood that this maybe my last trip there! more on that later...i digress...

I caught the noon flight out of Lax to DFW on to Rio, arriving Sunday at 9:00a.m. Got to the apartment around 10:00 unpacked and headed to the the citibank ATM to get the daily allowance of cash and head to the grocery store to pick some some necessities like water, food, toiletries, shampoo and washing detergent. I stopped to get a quick sandwich as i had a 3:00 appointment with one of my favorite guys from previous trips and then he was going to accompany to me to Club117.
We had alot of fun for about an hour and then headed out on the subway to 117

Sunday night at 117 wasn't too bad! I would estimate that by 6:30 or so there were around 20 - 25 guys there and about the same number of customers. I ran into 5 guys i knew pretty well, and ended up doing a 3 way. My friend from S.F. who was there, found two cute semi muscular guys and said they were great!
About 8:30 I was really tired since at this point I had been up for 24 hours and decided to head back, but as I was riding the subway back decided to get off in Copa and stop by Pointe 202 to see if it was any better then past visits over the last year...IT WAS NOT!

I don't understand how they stay in business, I think I saw 6 guys, maybe there was one more in a room, and maybe 4 customers 3 of whom were talking together and not interested in the few escorts there!

Got back to the apartment at 9:30 as one of my regular guys was going to spend the night but he never showed and has "gone Dark" since! lol One thing about Brazilians and the working guys in particular, they are either very late or don't show at all and it happens whether it is a new guy you met or one you have known for years. Actually it was a good thing as I needed the sleep, I went to bed at 10:00 pm and got up Monday morning at 10:00, so kinda glad he didn't show.

Monday a guy who I met 2 years ago came over at 3:00, I had not seen him since our initial meeting but last week he messaged me and asked if I was going to be in Rio anytime soon(translation..I'm out of work and need money!) He's actually the third guy that's done this is the past 3 weeks, all guys from 2 to 6 years ago since I have been with them, I think the Brazilian economy is hurting for these guys who moved on from saunas to reg. employment. This guy is 21, really nice, in college but lost his part time job. He was so much fun that he is coming back over Tuesday afternoon.
I headed over to Meo Mundo to meet two other American friends that are here. When I got there, it was already pretty busy, and I was immediately joined at my table by 4 guys all of whom I know well, and a 5th guy was the 18 yr.old cousin of one of the four.
I ended up going to a room with the original 4, the 18 yr old looked very sad, but there just wasn't enough room for him on the bed! Maybe tomorrow night.

When I came back downstairs there was my guy who was supposed to have shown up the previous night! He doesn't work at Meo Mundo but he knew where to look for me! He goes "some friends told me you went up with 3 guys!" I go "they LIED! I went up with 4"! LOL He lost his cell phone on the way from his city of Belo Horzonte to Rio two days before, he was coming down to spend the week at the apartment with me but when he lost his phone he went and got a cheap one and didn't have any contact numbers for all his friends including me, so he was hoping I would be at Meo Mundo.(the odds were in his favor!) We decided to leave around 9:00 and headed out to dinner with my two American friends and two other boys from the sauna. The guy I have staying with me most nights is the same one that I have had stay the last 3 or 4 trips, I think the first time was when Lurker was down here with me in 2012? I think he is very handsome and he always amazes me how he is in public when we are together, he insists that we walk hand in hand or with his hand on my shoulder. While we were waiting for the subway, there were alot of people on the platform and he is hugging me and randomly giving me a kiss and not caring what anyone thinks...and the great thing is that No one does care, I purposely watched for reaction from anyone around us and there was none, no one looked or cared! It's great! When we finally got back to the apartment around 11:30, we started talking, with the laptop between us to help with any translation problems and the next time we looked it was 2:00 a.m.

Tues we did not get up until Noon, he left at 2:00 and my repeat 3:00 from yesterday showed up and it was even better then yesterday! At 5:00 i headed over to 117, tuesday is their free suite night and they usually get a decent size crowd. I ran into Marco, who I discussed on here last year, he is a friend of OZ's from a few years back. Very nice guy, blonde hair, muscular and we went up to a room. After we finished, I went down to the outdoor bar area where 2 of my American friends were and Acyr the owner of Meo Mundo was there as we were going out to dinner later. he says to me "that's a cute guy there!" I look and see a really cute 18 yr old twink! we started talking and he said "what do u like to do"? I said "Kissing is very important and you have to be good at it!" He smiles leans over and kisses me in front of about 20 people and says "how's that"? We were up in a room about 2 mins. later!

Acyr and I left and got to the Sushi restaurant in Copacabana and my overnight guy was there waiting for us. btw, great sushi restaurant, called Azumi in Copa...and gay friendly!

I know most everyone enjoys the visuals with these reports, they will be coming, just haven't downloaded and sorted them yet(although OZ got a sneak pic in a email I sent him yesterday! :-)

The tension in wondering why this may be Tomcal's last trip to Brazil is intense. Is he just dangling this so the Brazilian authorities will offer him a subsidy to keep visiting and improving their economy? Has he found a better place to visit? I don't know how I can wait for the answer, but I'll be glued to Boytoy until I know!

In the meantime, I hope Tomcal continues to have fun.

today the guy who has been coming over every day at 3:00 didn't show, and no messages from him on FB, where he's been leaving them every day...I went to Meo Mundo at 5:00 and it was early and a Weds. so did not expect to see a lot of guys, but the cute little blonde 19yr old from Monday was there. We went up to a room, about 10 mins. later there is a knock on the door(which is very unusual in the sauna) and standing there are two of the guys from Monday wanting to join us! I said no and how did you know what room I was in? they laughed and said "please can we stay?" but I really wanted some one on one with this guy so sent them away. How 10 mins later one of the two was back and "you know I kiss and suck good!" So being the compassionate, benevolent person I am, I told him he could stay. ;-)

afterwards I was back downstairs and in walks Diogo, one of lurkers favorites. Big smile on his face and says "there is a new guy I want to fuck, big dick, can we do him"! I said "who is he". The guy walks in and is tall, lean 6 pac, but not handsome, but not homely, more like a rough construction worker look. He is 23 and Diogo looks at me and says "please"! So we go to a room. I will forever be thankful for Diogo talking me into this guy! He was really sweet and really passionate! After we were done he laid there cuddling with me for 15 mins and kissing! then we went back down to the bar and he sat next to me with his arm around me and kept kissing! just goes to show first impressions can be wrong! this guy oozes sex!

I got back to the apartment at 9:30 and Washington was waiting for me and we went to the gay bar/restaurant ToNemAi and drank and ate. nice crowd there, everyone was friendly and asking all kinds of questions about the U.S. It was fun.

Tomorrow is my last full day in Rio and Two guys are coming over for lunch and then some fun before heading to Meo Mundo tomorrow night.

I have been really lucky over the years to meet a lot of really nice guys here. I am continually surprised at how good so many of them are. While there are always going to be the ones looking to take any advantage of you or a situation there are just as many that are good and I have been lucky to have a bunch of them with me on this trip

. I had gone to the atm on Sunday when I arrived and took out 1000R (U.S. 435.) I went to the grocery store then met a friend for lunch and then back to the apartment. A hour or so later I reached in my pocket and there was only about 300R there. I couldn't believe I lost it! I thought it must have fallen out at the restaurant when I reached in to get some money to pay the bill. Even thou it wasn't that much money it made me really mad I was that careless! That night after the sauna when Washington and I got back to the apartment he went to the refrigerator to get some drinks and opened the lid to the garbage pail and goes "Tom come here" I get up and walk over and look and there on top of the grocery bag and receipt I had thrown in there was the wad of (7) $50.R bills He could have easily stuck them in his pocket and I would have never known.

At the sauna last night sitting with friends I had 2 caprihinas, the Brazilian cocktail, Two of the boys sitting there said when I got ready to leave "you have been drinking you shouldn't walk back to the metro by yourself"! I assured them I was not buzzed and had the two drinks over a 2-1/2 hour period. They insisted on walking me back to the metro station which is about 5 long blocks from Meo Mundo. When we got there they said Ok, see you tomorrow and took off.

The guy in the two pics in the last post above sent me a message on FB at midnight and said "it was really great meeting you, and I hope I see you again, if you don't want to have sex again(I do!) that is fine, I am glad I got to meet a new friend! kinda put a smile on my face.

Tomcal, that may be your finest post of all time. It really warmed my heart, and I was glad that you were so lucky. We're lucky, too, to be receiving these inside reports and I know that I am not alone in being grateful that you take the time to write them.

An interesting issue is raised here in tomcal's story of the "not handsome, not homely" guy who provided tomcal such a good time. Too often we go with the handsomest guy we can buy, Yet we leave behind the guy who could have provided us with such a better time, devoted himself to pleasing us much more than the beauty, if we could overlook that jaw line or crease or whatever he has that makes him less than handsome. We both lose when we do that, and I am as guilty as anyone, but, thankfully, age has taught me something.
