  1. off topic but honest question to English-as-first -language speakers. I noticed we say The Gambia and The Sudan but never say, The Ghana or The Tanzania to stay with former British possessions. Any idea as to why is that? Just curious
  2. I agree, it's statement full of crap
  3. easily removable underwear
  4. was. for all we know he died and is still dead
  5. definitely you are right but from time to time I like to check how other half has it and in name of fighting discrimination I go with twink, specially if cute one and even more specially if he is still from Tawan. That guy , if it's the same we are talking about here, when I offed him in January was definitely worth his tip, very affectionate and sweet
  6. excellent reminder. It's actually a case where I live. My advice it to stay well, well above what others here call "18+ standard" specially in Asia where a lot of people to our eyes look misleadingly younger. I rather go with out of shape ex-Tawan guys than risk domestication in Bangkok Hilton as floridarob warned above
  7. so obviously somebody is bending the truth. What a shame for such battle hardened force !
  8. stunning and relatively wild mountains, folk culture still alive and painted monasteries of Moldova in Suceava area are very unique and well worth effort, Also Danube delta for nature lovers. For gay friendly we still have Thailand at the ready
  9. so in short, go to Bangkok or Pattaya instead
  10. I like those , specially when they claim they are straight and like girls
  11. seems they were disciplined lot
  12. we are waiting patiently
  13. you will like it there. Hope you got good rates as it seems new management introduced steep rate rise from November on
  14. I hate to agree with you. Not because of you but because you are right unfortunately. It used to be one of life little pleasures to park myself at Castro or Pikky , beer in hand boy beside and watch soi getting busier and busier from 7 pm , waiting for music and parade at 9. pm. Now only handful of massage freelancers , shirtless on their motorbikes are providing some visual excitement ( remember that tattooed one last month ? ). BBB boys bar 1 or 2 are completely dressed on the stage , half of them in long sleeves ! But still bar seems to be full night after night courtesy of Chinese tour groups. I wonder how many offs new , improved formula off fee of 1000 baht generates ? and it was time few years ago that I considered BBB best bar in whole Thailand !
  15. Gran Canaria is part of Canary Islands, they in turn are part of Spain but are located on Atlantic close to southern Morocco which in turn is in North Africa don't worry , I always mix Vanuatu with Tonga
  16. I'd say cost wise it's half way between Western Europe and Thailand
  17. your loyalty may be tested as it looks from September on they almost doubled their prices . I wonder about sanity of such a move and while I like Le Siam a lot , certainly not at new pricing level. for uninitiated - you are talking about new Foodland in Silom Park building. By the way , both menu and prrices are the same there and in world famous UNESCO heritage, 7 1/2 stars, Foodland Patpong
  18. based on recent reports from Tawan, both negative and positive , you should be well served there.
  19. you dirty minds , you better stop it
  20. when in Bangkok just walk to Aurora , it's not that far from Nana BTS station and see whom they have on offer
  21. no wonder, such battle hardened force RTA !
  22. or departing admirers will make room for new crop of chubby chasers who find current crew exactly what they are looking for. Just saying. Oh-ing and ah-ing about the boys is worth nothing if won't translate into cold cash, be it drinks, off fees or tips Sometimes we customers are right sensing trouble for bars ( New Twilight, Sol ) but sometimes owners know better as they see the cash register from inside. Dreamboys in soi Twilight location and BoyzBoyzBoyz are good examples of most expensive bars in their sois and yet most crowded.
  23. That's the beauty of life, we put our unique price tags on various things. Price notwithstanding, I'm not fan of luxury digs when travel for practical reason - I noticed to tend to spend more times indoor in better places while in bare bone ones I'd like to shower, shave, have a tea and get out. On another hand I'd rather overpay and be close to main attractions than save money and bed in some remote , yet cheap alley. Drawing a line is a great idea as on vacations we tend to react more impulsively being generally in good mood. On last trip I got an offer from absolutely stunning guy with personality and English proficiency to match for 10000 overnight. He did not budge and for 3 days I was nursing an idea of succumbing to his charms but since it doubled my line I decided to keep my limits. Not sure I did right thing but I'm sure I did it right- savings on 5 stars thus obtained financed 3 meetings with 4 stars guys.
  24. not my area of expertise at all although from time to time I like to splurge on something with more stars to see how better echelons have it. Based on Pullman G , Amara & Crown Plaza stays it's exactly as you say, staff maintains neutrality as they should at the price. Can't envision guest paying 9000 for the room being interrogated at the door about person he is tagging along, in that person presence specially. I recall shy smile by receptionist at Bayoke Sky when I brought guy dressed in very tatty jeans shorts but no comments were made. Other customers reaction may vary, depending on who they are but those nesting in such hotels may be trained in minding their business. And often expect other guest to do the same. As for boys reaction, yes some may expect their tip will match room ambience but also will be some who feel uneasy in such luxuries. The same goes about restaurants with more upscale clientele (and prices). I wouldn't advice to expect boys to be too impressed by multiple star places since, coming from poor backgrounds, they may think our money would be better spend on something more worthy i.e. increase in their tip.
  25. that I like the most I find this category most therapeutic even those in local parts vary considerably in price as some are located in more upscale areas. Ones like Jey , VCK or GooGuy are not exactly cheap but still worth it IMHO (Jey for sure ) Great analysis mararoni !
