it's only because your country never came to terms with atrocities of Stalinist era. Russian 's victims were mainly other Russians -
in short his health is good according to his age. I don't think he will spend much time there, he either will be pardoned or released on health grounds

CX highlights Bangkok’s crucial role in aviation recovery
vinapu replied to reader's topic in The Beer Bar
Before covid we had 4 Chinese airlines flying from here to Asia, each at least 3-4 times a week. So obviously it added a lot of capacity depressing prices. You are right though , with current conditions in China chances they return to the skies soon are not big -
some people have all luck in life

Being veteran of just 2 cruises - Panama Canal and East Caribbean I must say I'm not fan and certainly I don't consider cruises any travel bargain but understand why some people swear by it. Your hotel is moving with you so no need to pack and food is unlimited and tasty. I have big doubts about economical benefits for places visited, it may be more ego booster for some locals than cash cow. As for original question in the tittle my answer is yes for simple reason - bigger ship, less claustrophobic it will feel.

government pensions are not meant to provide for living , are meant to prevent dying from hunger

That's sadistic. Drinking champagne is cruelty, doing it every morning is outright torture.

rare situation, biggest party in parliament bypassed from forming government. That and 11 parties in cabinet doesn't seems to promise stable government. As for lese majeste law , law is not a problem , what counts is it's how it's applied.

Why do older guys think that young guys do not want sex with them?
vinapu replied to farangsamuii's topic in Gay Thailand
no harm done -
I guess top floor of one of 5 star hotels will be his prison. It must be close to Silom as Foodland Patpong is only 7 star restaurant in Bangkok so my guess is his meals will come from there.

There's one guy at BBB who meets your description and when I visited that bar with resident farang he pointed at him and his comment was exactly like yours, word for word. and , what is important for muscle lovers like myself older guys are much better built as it takes a time

that is one part of equation. Another is enormous transfer of wealth as baby boomers slowly fade into history but are leaving behind their assets , mainly houses but often also substantial savings or investments. So people of quite modest means are inheriting quite a bit from their parents and if they are smart enough they put that money into good use. Chance meeting today on the street with my former neighbour , humble librarian in early 60's prompted my comment. Her divorced parents in late 80's died in short time of each other leaving her and her sister respective houses. Smart girl cashed out and for her share purchased life annuity.

Don't you think it was a bit rude ? One of most in shape boys in Bangkok I regularly engage is about that age and remains very popular.

certainly there will be some who underestimated cost on living abroad, perhaps moved when exchange rates were more favourable and now they are stuck. They still have advantage over tourist of knowing best places to east and shop. When I visited Pattaya first about 10 years ago my first impression and it's recorded somewhere in the forum in my report was many sad looking farangs walking the streets. It was bit depressing. Although it could be other factors like loneliness or poor health , not just economic woes
