yes and no. My WhatsApp is registered under number I obtained when was travelling in Europe 3 if not 4 years ago and was given when purchased local SIM card. Card expired long ago but WhatsApp still works without any problems. Don't ask how it's possible but it does . No idea who will pick up phone when somebody calls that number

meeting in person is not 100% fool proof, occasionally even after drinking and/or talking with guy in the bar, when in the room he may turn disappointing for this reason or that. My last taste of that was last trip in July , one of guys , smiley and clingy in the bar and in the restaurant after we left ,but as soon as doors closed it was become obvious he wand just to do the deed , cash in and leave and was not even quite straight forward about that. What tickles me particularly are guys who promise Long Time (overnight ) and after few hours are looking for excuse to leave , even accepting great reduction in tip negotiated. Death sentence as far as future offs go. It's my revenge in such cases unless guy is well rehearsed before which may result in another chance . .............. great idea with that unusual pictures but again, picture is 2 dimensional but guy showing at the door arrives three-dimensional so still there may be variation as some people come extremely well on photos.

in perennial dilemma bar/ clubs or apps my thinking is that is good we have a choice. I'm also one of those who go for bar option first treating drink prices as tickets for entertainment and facilitating interaction. When bars fail , it's reassuring that there may be somebody on the apps. Another use I found for apps is substitute communicator, with quite a few bar and massage boys I did not exchange Line of WhatsApp and communicate with them through Grindr in my hour of need. Needs to be said it seems THEIR hour of need happens more often though

we need to be careful with laughing and some diplomacy is needed. Two boys which appear in my travel reports quite often earlier this year reported very sick mother. No, they did not ask for any assistance although perhaps hoping I will pick up a clue, , who knows ? Both ladies died, one very recently. Again no request for help, just pics from funeral but point is not always sick grandma is in fact healthy or dead long time already.

one day visit to Hebron in 1995 made me understand that better than years of watching TV, clips on you Tube, reading magazines and listening to pontifications from supporters of both sides. Glad you managed to hook up with two good guys and most likely you are right, they are interested in you because your exotic value, not only looks , beard, blue eyes but different culture and behavior may be fascinating to them, so as you say enjoy while it lasts for what it is. Nothing unhealthy neither dating guy half nor twice of one's age. Don't be so scared with prospect of walker, plenty of us here much , much older than 50 odd who are doing without with little signs of slowing. What is worrying me though, quite often in trip reports mid -aged guys are reporting being tired, wanting to go to bed early etc, which rarely if at all we hear form ancients. Perhaps there is grain of truth to say that people who stay long outside after school day have more energy than those who jump from school desk to the comp screen by way of taking bus from the school ? Guys with good income may indeed be offended if you paid for everything unwittingly treating them as poor needing support. But sometimes schemes turn to be elaborate. I'm privy to the case , nice multi-day dates every trip , no money involved then out of blue quite blunt request to help to relocate to farang's country - more elaborate version of sick grandmother or dead buffalo.
