Again , I think we are extrapolating too much based on that unfortunate incident. While it's true that Vietnamese boys were reported unfavorably few times , even in this very thread in experienced contributors are standing to their defense. In Sept in Toyboys I saw another Vietnamese boy who was recommended to me by few posters as well commented glowingly on various forums quite recently. Not my type , I recognized him immediately, smiled and tipped. While personally I have very limited experience with Vietnamese boys and can't say it was memorable experience , I wouldn't be tempted at all to paint all of them with then same brush. This goes with any nationality in the region, for example I have good reason to complain about Cambodian massage boys ( at least 4 not very good, all in Pattaya ) but only have good word to say about Cambodian go-gos. Boy in the story did not deliver because he was poor service provider , not because he was Vietnamese IMNSHO. The same logic applies to bars and massage places. My worst off was from Dreamboys but can't say a bad word about bar because one of my best I still remember fondly 4 years later almost to the day was also from there. On positive note my best boy ever was from Screwboys and I never had bad experience with Lao boy but as we can see here others may be of very opposite opinion.backed on THEIR experience.

I'd not generalize too much based on one report of unfortunate encounter. It may happen in any bar . We had quite a few good reports from Screwboys recently too. But warning it is and If I was jones I'd post boy's name or number. My guess is because jones returned to the same boy he was sitting with earlier he marked him as easy target and scammed somewhat.

I agree but must say some of boys I met over years were / are surprisingly smart money handlers. One Arena boy , still working there told me that no matter what he always puts half of customer tip to the bank right away, he even went as far as asking me to break 1000 note in halfs to make his task easier. Two years ago I took BBB boy for 5 days Bangkok vacations. We agreed on compensation etc and he told me up front that he wants me to pay him at very end so this way he will save that money. Doubly right as he had excuse to ask me to cover his small expenses, rightly claiming he has no money. I gladly did because I like be around of smart people. Like they say 'it's better to lose something with smart than find something with stupid". But a little bit of me supports Christian's theory. Many boys would do better if they follow simple money earning tactic- more effort = more money. As long time offer who probably pays a bit over the odds and it's no secret to boys here and there I'm often surprised by rejection of long time offer for twice if not more as much claiming they are tired or need to to the gym in the morning etc excuses. And no, it's not because of me since in second breath they ask if they can see me again, I used to get upset over it but now entirely gave up and swim with the flow.

Those Classic mamasans seem never learn that their pushy tactics are only scaring people away. Hope you had luck upon return to Screwboys with such a selection. Most important , it seems Thailand did her magic and you health issues went away

I have firm preference for long time and must say that almost always boys stick to their side of bargain when comes to time. If they want early leave , almost universally state it up front and explain why , before even money is mentioned. Usually I trust them so don't put any preconditions but rarely, if I have a feeling that he may have some sinister motives when agreeing I state plainly that if thy leave early they will get short time tip of 1000. I answered 'never' above which is not entirely accurate but with so many long times and only 4 cases when boy cut time short I consider it statistic blip. Opposite also happened few times when after full LT completed and breakfast consumed I asked for short time extension right away, in one case I bribed boy with an offer of additional 1000, tipped another one 1000 afterwards but shockingly on two separate occasions boys agreed to stay and did not want any money for an extension. I guess my original tip exceeded their expectation.

PRISMA - It needs to be said they did good job and decor inside is definitely very modern and puts bar apart from others in the area. But they need more customers and for that they need to have an attractive stuff on duty.

Don't give up on bar , not to mention whole soi after one unhappy experience , what about all those times you left happy previously? As for other areas try, you guessed rightly , Screwboys, trek to soi 6 and check on all 4 bars there and don't forget about Boy66 and Jupiter2018. It goes without saying that Pattaya is only 2 hours by bus away, if you like twinks you will feel at home there.

get better fast , it's very unhealthy to get sick. Try not to have your A/c in the room too low as moving from cold room to steamy street doesn't do any good.
