not entirely hypothetical as per my own experience described here in my Nov 2013 report . to make story short Dreamboy boy ( Thai ) refused to undress, no to mention shower and further deeds, after a while I asked him to leave and following drama including call to mamasan and rising at least half of occupants of Om Yim hotel prompted me to push him out of door waving 1000 baht not to be received on corridor only. He left escorted by me downstairs as I wanted to avoid more hell but let me tell you I was not popular occupant there judging by stares of staff and some occupants in the morning, one of them , Belgian even asked me later on what the hell we were doing at night . So no fault of mine , worst 1000 baht spent ever and I still have feeling I bought my way out of trouble cheaply. I was not shy to report all that to mamasan at Dreamboys next night but boy in question is still on the scene,but not at Dreamboys and apparently mend his ways. Z909 is right , all that amounts to blackmailing and scaming , creating unduly incentive to cheat but we need sometimes to weigh our principles against getting out of trouble fast.

I don't see anything unusual , everybody goes by his own experience which may vary for many reasons. In many cases statistic sample is too small to form standing opinion . So somebody who had 2-3 bad encounters will be complaining and somebody 2-3 times happy will be singing praises but this may not reflect reality. I can't say much about Viet boys but based on my experience I can say following about Cambodians - go-go /2 meetings / all excellent, massage boys / 4 encounters / all disappointing to some degree/. Is this enough to form an opinion ? I 'd venture absolutely no. It's why I keep trying without prejudice going by smile , face and body shape not nationality as long as they are SE Asians, LOL.

No idea about BDSM but as for threesome I don't think it's any difference between Thai and other boys. Some will refuse , some will go for it for an additional compensation, some will have no problem as long as other boy / I assume threesome = one punter , two boys / is not from their bar and some will have no problem going with their friends , in fact they may even suggest it. Definitely make known to boys in question of what you expect and it would be not a bad idea to let one boy to pick up another one. My limited experience is that it works best when an idea comes from boys, not me. If they will have fun with each other so they will have one with you and you with them. As for two punters - one boy configuration I'd expect that boy will request double tip, never been in one but on two occasions overheard conversation and this was a case.

Probably there's no such thing as normal when comes to drink prices but I know what do you mean - if drink prices will be too low , bar may have a problem to make a profit in such secluded location. Krazy Dragon in it's last incarnation had low drink prices and did not last long unfortunately. One can only hope that savings on cheap drink prices are passed by clients over to boys sitting with them

travelling with local anywhere may have many advantages main being that they may have a keys to door we will not but will have one disadvantage as far as I 'm concerned - I will be forced to look at the country through his eyes. No that I'm any better as I tend to drag my visitors to places here I like. So my advice , do day sightseeing alone and spent evening with local.

Ever since my own uncle got fake 100 USD note from the Swiss bank I tend to believe to all stories even if I can' t relate them in any way to my own experiences. No doubt a447 had bad luck and he was not alone as I heard similar stories , although not with such intensity of occurrences but my experience from 2 week solo trip to Vietnam was nothing other than pure pleasure. Other than suffering very heavy rainfall while on motorbike in Hue only other bad memory I have is one of guides on day trip had his English so incomprehensive that it was being painful to listen.

Here I'm with paulsf , firecat and others who did not suffer any scams neither in Vietnam nor Thailand. I had blast in both and can't recall any scams going my way. I'd not call boy who promises long time and is looking to leave after 1 hr scammer or waiter who "forgets" to bring change another one , there's some dishonesty in that but scam is deliberate not opportunistic. As for Vietnamese boys I can't say anything bad but I did not have much of memorable experiences with them as well , so Id say positive but nothing thrilling. For me somehow Lao boys placed themselves firmly on the top on my ranks. for visit all 5 countries in the region / Thailand, Burma, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam / are worth every effort and every penny as vacation destination and when comes to Vietnam I'm in camp who likes north much more than south

isn't a whole point of travelling to see the sights and do things we don't have at home ?. Its hard to be in Oklahoma and swim in the sea at the same time and no Russian ever came to Thailand to see the snow. I don't defend smokers in bars but sometimes think we in the west are overregulated. Not that Thailand is free of that sin - see ban on food and drinks in BTS, , granted it helps to keep it pristine clean. I like smokers - they help to keep Earth from overpopulation
