Reason I brought into thread bus/train alternatives ( there are also vans ) was just to pont out that there are other options. We , old hands know them but there are those who are planning excitingly their first trip to Thailand or in fact first foray to Pattaya, combing this forum among other sources and they can't be left with an impression that car / taxi are only option of getting to Pattaya What we choose depends on parameters like budget, time available, safety and fun factor ( chances your car driver will be eye candy are not that high ) which vary from person to person or even from trip to trip. As a side note regarding train, I never took it but when one considers door to door timing and lives in Suriwong / Silom area it's not that absolute nonsense. One of our readres left BBB Inn at 6.30, took MRT /subway from San Yan to Hualampong and was in his Pattaya hotel at 11.00, 4 1/2 hrs total, quite a bit but undersigned once waited 2 hours at Victory Monument for empty space in van to Pattaya. Best thing is - there are alternatives and plenty of them from 31 baht train to 9000 hotel limo

that's very considerate of you but I'd not have any preconceived notions in this business . Once I offed second boy only because asked to by his friend "no customer long time " , did not expect much and it turned one of most fun filled offs I ever had and I had quite a few over years.

it clearly looks that low season has it's own advantages, even most in demand boys sometimes go home empty handed and if you off them they are more clingy and in no rush to leave. But it's good to know bars are busy , after all they need to make money somehow

Sounds tempting but only sounds, turning A/C too low during hot spell is dangerous to our health when we are moving from very cold inside / room , bus train , car / to very hot outside, brisk business for pharmacies selling aspirin and the like in summer. In Thailand never ever I set a/c to lower then +26 Celsius and often feel sorry for a boys barely dressed shivering in the bars under A/C draft. As for boys clinging to me tightly I have better invention , not necessarily cheaper though. It's called tip negotiated in advance, works 87.63 % of the time

That's correct, not much more but still a bit more just in case you like boy and /or service and wish to tip more than planned.

that's our problem , after hearing so many sob stories we tend to become jaded and dismiss them as fake all the time but in fact boys, like everybody else have their dramas. Year ago BBB boy I always off long time told me he can stay past 1 a.m because he need to drive his bar friend to his mother funeral in Buriram. I thought it was just an excuse for not staying till morning but next evening mamasan actually confirmed that was a case.
