That sums it up nicely. Boys have just 2 choices, negotiate or stand their / or bar's / ground. No need to despair , as 1moRussian reported recently , boy standing firm one night was willing to accept his offer next night. Sometimes just checking bin ready to go does the trick and cherished 'OK, Ok' follows. No need for drama or scenes.

From what i hear from boys, Chinese are not tipping in the bar and not offing as often as their numbers in the audience would suggest so you are still standing good chance. ( to be fair to Chinese, I never heard complain about unfair tip after off so it looks those who are taking boys with them made their homework )

great bargains in clothing are still there but usually further away from malls and streets tourist hordes congregate. Busy types may use their vacation time do do shopping , bargains or not , since in 'normal' time they don't have much of an opportunity. Internet shopping , specially for clothing and shoes is not for everybody for the same reason apps aren't - some need to try wares before opening wallett

in such a case I'd be gone from my room after 1/2 hr of waiting for a boy unless we had meeting scheduled in the dead of night, then I just would go to sleep. Actually happened once, boy asked to leave at midnight with promise to return in 1 hr but did not show up until 4 , long after I gave up and fall asleep. I was even a bit worried since he did not collect his tip but all finished well with him staying till something like 11-12 which I loved because I like morning gymnastics.

I saw many things in Thailand but can't recall even single case where boys underwear wouldn't be super fresh and clean like new, honestly

Even if boys of type I like are rarity in Sunee with partial exception of Good Boys I agree that bars are fun and boys adventurous. I find it endearing that when I profess / truly / that i like bigger boys , it's always met with understanding and than offered an advice to try Boyztown. Never offed anybody from Sunee but , like Vessey distributed quite a few red noted among the needy there.

I was luckier and looking back I must say their record with me is quite good, particularly when they missed time previously and I was gone if given second chance they are very good , so it can be done. Just show them that you mean business and are not interested in excuses.

Good for you . Even 1500 for just 1/2 hr is wayyyyy too much. In massages I stick to 1000 / hr rule and never ever had any problems with that rate. Even if we are done , bells and whistles , if boy wants his 1500 for 1.5 hr . he needs to endure some quiet moment of hugging and caressing until paid time is over and I must say all of them suffer gladly in such a case. I think in your case he sensed that you are completely not in the know or enamored with him madly or both and wanted to exploit situation but this is mercilessly very rare. Glad you stand your ground. I had a few such cases including both nights in Pattaya on my last Dec trip and had no problem of telling them that 3000 LT is rate I'm paying to their friend and him only but they will get 2500 and 2000 respectively and it looks they had no problem whatsoever to accept both tip and their fate. This supports what bobsaigon said above as well.

Once I got heated a bot about one of boys with true star looks and built. I went as far as mentally and financially prepare myself for as much as 200 USD / 6000 baht then / had he requested that much. But it pays to have some system - I was going to off him only if he pays any attention to my presence in the bar / smile or even just wink would do/ which is what i always practice and advise others. Unfortunately to my bleeding heart but fortunately to sanity of my finances he did not bother so neither did I. I liked that lesson I gave to myself and now if he is still in business / I have signals he is / I'd still go for him but just for regular or at most slightly improved rate like 2000 ST but at least 2 hrs. Again , it pays to develop some rules for ourselves as often we tend to get carried over a bit.
