  1. I think one , whether tourist or relocating, needs to compromise a little bit since at home usually we have much bigger choice of people we can hang on with. When in new place sometimes we need to put up or even befriend people who wouldn't be our first choice at home , otherwise we risk being lonely from the start.
  2. both of you are bringing up another slippery issue : subsequent visit to bar where we had boy or boys offed already but we want to try somebody else. Boys , even those who know that we weren't exactly happy with them will invariably try to claim an ownership of us. We don't want to hurt their feelings / or repeat crappy experience / and have an intention to take one of their bar friends instead. Lots of diplomatic skills is necessary and at end of day some boys will be still offended or pretend to by our "rejection" including hissy fits and if he has your contact you may receive angry call or e-mail. My advice will be to be honest in our intention, " I like you but want to try X tonight so more boys have a chance to earn a tip". That's particularly hard to handle if we really like a boy , don't want him to feel bad but nevertheless want to try somebody else. That's my problem at Arena and Bangkok Massage soi Twilight, on another hand boys of Tawan seem to take those ' rejections' very well , probably well trained in understanding meaning of ' butterfly ' although I had some commotion over issue last Dec. ggobkk , yes I noticed the same , boys previously tipped seem to appreciate it and on the next appearance in the bar I feel better having some ' insider ' in the bar already . It makes also easier to off boy without whole drink ritual so some of those exit tips are somehow recovered.
  3. I'd not be fondling or exposing boy's privates in the bar unless clearly initiated by him which mercifully happens from time to time, usually later in the night when boys are more pressed to get an off. Of course exception is in Eros or Good Boys where that's the whole idea but even there I'm still waiting for them to make first step. Can't envision to send back boy without a tip unless it was him who planted himself beside without an invitation. If I wave him over then in my book he should get something, specially that some body contact is expected and extracted even if it's just a hug or everybody's favorite, hand positioned on his thigh close to the underwear line . That's the move which Rush of bangkokbois blog fame , God let him rest in peace . credited to be responsible for more offs than efforts of mamasans and boys smiles combined. Even if I send boy away almost immediately, which happened twice , once due to some ugly zit and second time in now defunct Happy Boys around the corner from Sunee Plaza when boy seemed to be tooooo interested in unzipping my shirt pocket where I had some money, still gave them something. Contrary to the most here perhaps, very often when I call boy over to sit with me is usually just to have some warm company while in the bar / all that A/C, LOL / and then I tell them I will not be offing them tonight so they can drop me at any time but they always solder on until I release them. If bar is busy and I'm not in offing mode I tend to have mercy and let them go or if I like all that hand holding I tip them more than usual 100-200. Of course when boy will be offed , I skip tip in the bar part, even if he is sitting with me today and we are sealing deal for tomorrow. Apologies for the lengthy post but judging by some recent PM's there's an interest among newcomers in all that bar liturgy and customs.
  4. I agree with all above but would say, each time boy sits with you for more than just few minutes he deserves some tip, after all we are taking him from the stage where he could be spotted and engaged by somebody else. If one decided to off boy , then no tip necessary as interview was fruitful.
  5. it is , dates and times are usually correct
  6. in time , thanks to technology I can see this is how passports will look like . After all visas and entry/exit dates can be stored electronically on it the same way our money is stored in our debit cards. But this will need great degree of international co-operation, path is already cleared with biometric passport readers.
  7. but also many who drink a lot
  8. how much for 0.7 L bottle of those the Munich's airport duty free? I'll be flying through shortly so better be prepared with change. Oh, I see you just added civility , hope price is similar
  9. What sane and honest person would leave equivalent if 1600 USD in a checked luggage ? I count myself among stupid. Few years ago I obtained somewhat circuitous miles award ticket from Prague to Madrid via Paris and I had about 65 euros in various coins on me, quite a heavy load so I put it in the checked luggage. Sure , when picking up my suitcase at destination I noticed that zipper was moved from my habituary position. Sure I knew why immediately and was not wrong that time, LOL. Still it was 80, not 1600 USD ? Still that guard needs to be applauded for being sharp eyed
  10. so which German spirit other than Danziger Goldwasser you would recommend ?
  11. very handy but I wouldn't risk flying all the way from say St.Olaf , MN to Thailand with just the Card leaving passport at home but perhaps in the future it's how our passports will look like. I like an idea but what about all governments ?
  12. would US cop stopping you on the highway accept phone image of your driver's licence?

Sathorn Unique shell prominently featured in video can be seen just beside Saphai Taksin BTS station and is famous as a place ChristianPFC climbed and got bitten by the wasps in the process . Now after Swedish expat hanged himself there in end of 2014 building is apparently inaccessible, bribes or not
  16. last person who told me he goes to Pattaya to sunbathe and swim, when asked what he likes better , soi 6 or Walking street just had turned face red
  17. even better as those countries are even poorer than Thailand
  18. an ambulance urgently needed, I agree with steveboy ( underscored part is obvious oversight on sgald's part though) While I cherish accuracy and honesty , more important is what people say than who and how is saying it. If I book a room in Nantra Silom, have breakfast at Foodland Patpong and off boy # 47 from Jupiter based on somebody's recommendation , what counts is if I met my expectancy , and whether recommending person was right based on personal experience , friend's account or just what he read on the some forum is secondary. Pretending to be different persona or even more than one person leaves very little to applaud but concern of some members about troll hunting and extermination sometimes sounds as just too much trouble to go through.
  19. I met Christian quite a few times , in bars , over the meals and even on a trip to sticks and canals and rest assured we did not have a problem to socialize , to chat and definitely only fuck we discussed was "Madrid Tavern pizza is fucking best in the world" so give him some slack. Sure , age difference helped, LOL Reading his honest accounts of BF hunts I think he is spreading himself to thin and in the process paying attention to irrelevancies like skin temperature etc instead of looking at internal beauty of prospective long term materials but at end of day , what do i know? enjoy while it lasts , that's the beauty of gay forums, we just don't know when to stop
  20. and we are glad you do, you are visibly on the roll in this thread
  21. apart from Schengen area crossing borders is usually inconvenient, long lines , pesky questions , luggage search, mandatory exchange at poor rates, visa regimes , you name it
  22. it may not be as difficult as we suspect. I thought it is , in case somebody like me who always bring cash in USD , not even my domestic currency and exchanges it in places they don't even ask for passport so it may seem here's no way of finding how much I spent. BUT: every trip I bust budget so at end take cash withdrawal. Say on day 12 I took 7000 baht, than on my last day , 14th , I took another 7500. It can safely be assumed that cash withdrawal were taken on order to spend entirely so that in 3 days I spent 14500 baht , 4833 per day. It can be extrapolated that 14*4833 is what I spent during my trip. Length of trip ( 14 days ) and nationality is known from immigration form. And you know what? Being confined at home today I had time to check how accurate method would be for my last 4 trips. Easy since I keep kind of financial records for every , not just Thai , trip. Surprise , surprise for 3 out of 4 last trips result was pretty close, in case of last trip shockingly VERY close. Numbers are invented because I don't want to start whole illegitimate son of Warren Buffet with Leona Helmsley discussion , but discovery , while surprising to a degree, is not.
  23. and how many days before we will see you reporting ? absolutely no pressure, no have fun
  24. still may work, on few occasions in bars I was known I still used ' I like the girls ' line and a message to leave me alone was understood
