Me too! Bars you know what you’re getting. Last night I checked hornet, a guy looked good, but he was a Lao man I’ve known for years who works in a bar. He wants you to buy a drink or he tells the boy to get back on stage. The boys don’t like this as it cuts into their tips. One guy I tip 100 baht for a minute was with me and ordered back on stage. There’s no way I’m buying him a drink. But I’ll tip him if he wants. The staff inside aren’t strict like the owner. Luckily the owner is usually outside. Obviously they want to sell more drinks and don’t want the customer who buys himself a drink and none for a boy. If you want to put your hands on one you might have to buy another drink.

The beaches are not great, but pools are nice for swimming. Excercise can be a drag, but swimming isn’t so bad, just hate the initial cold . Many days in December and early January can be too cold for swimming in Pattaya. I’ve noticed different hotels or condos have warmer or cooler water. For instance, Arcadia Beach condo is very warm as it’s in direct sunlight most of the day They have five pools. Yensabai isn’t bad either if you can avoid the old French men gossiping in the pool all day. My condo, Unixx is average to cold, only short time in the sun.

“Stunning beaches “, ok. I purposely don’t go to Hawaii so I’m not let down when I get to Pattaya. At least it’s not as expensive as Hawaii.

I think my hearing is going. I’ve decided this trip to avoid the drag shows at all cost. I went to bingo at @Home bar Wednesday night and I understood the Cambodian man announcing the numbers, helps that I know Thai, but the falang directing the event I couldn’t understand. Think I might have won something but I just got up and left, heading over to 69 bar for some pool. Their pool tournament starts November 11, Saturday if anyone is interested.

After being one day in solim Bangkok, I woke up about midnight and strolled through the bar area. I ran into a twink called J, who previously worked in the Complex. It was his first day/ night there and I took him to my room. I was meaning to take him off from @Home bar when he worked there but never got around to it. So I was thrilled to see him, didn’t disappoint. Hes fairly sexy but couldn’t make it work there. So he’s trying it in Solim. Maybe with high season starting it will be better for him and others. The bars offer me more than the apps, in that I can spend the evening playing pool and socializing. So I’ll continue to spend money there. Here in Bangkok is another story. I don’t feel compelled to support the bars here, as everything is more expensive here. So I pick up guys walking around. It’s so easy, as they’re usually looking for business on the phones and I can see what they look like, no surprises.

Must be very quiet in the Complex. A guy that worked in a bar there is back working at Super A in Bangkok. He said not enough customers. Also a real hottie that worked in BN bar has moved to Boystown. He never responded to my app request until I looked at my Romeo and there he was, left a message about a month ago, now wants to hook up. Must be desperate,lol.

Agree, I love it, booked another night, but no safe is a drag, will have to think of creative hiding place. I can’t believe I’m finally here! Have a boy booked from Super A, looks well hung. Had a bit of a warm up there last night.

Yes, basic and clean, great location. I walked into Tarntawan first and wasn’t thrilled with the price, they told me it’s cheaper booking with agoda. The boss walked in and gave a better price so I told them I’d let them know in an hour. But decided to stay at 56 Suriwong because they’re nice here and I’m tired. Only booked one night so maybe I’ll stay at Tarntawan tomorrow for a few days. I asked the girl about joiners here at 56, and she wasn’t sure, seemed confused. Anyone know the policy here?

Are there any hotels near silom similar to Tarntawan price wise? I don’t need a fancy place, just close to the area. Aircon and no roaches preferred. I’ll be there this coming weekend and maybe a tad longer. Had to cancel my credit card so I’ll have to be a walk in. Fortunately I have bank accounts there. Thanks.

I recommend M bar, it’s parallel to the main soi in jomtien complex. Just look out for anyone you like and have a drink with them, at any bar there. And don’t waste time on the apps. Many bad photos and phony ones. Imho, apps are better for expats who can waste time. I live there half the year and only use it to contact my regulars who usually work in the bars.

Last year I took the train from airport to the bts. I lugged my heavy bag down a stairs and hurt my back. It wasn’t worth it. Plus instead of using the bts, I got in a taxi. How dumb of me. But this year my bag will be lighter as I left most of my clothes in my condo in Pattaya. So maybe I’ll do the same dumb thing again. It was interesting staying at Tarntawan hotel, as it was almost twenty years since I stayed there. Seeing all the massage shops. I enjoyed Super A bar.
