I love when they do events like this. I went to a Bel Ami picnic for Prague Pride a few years ago. It was great to meet some of my favourites. Hope they do more.

BiBottomBoy, when you say bars, do you mean bars for escorts, or normal gay bars? I had only heard of escorts at a bar called Black & White, but I visited a couple of times and there was nothing.

I see from Facebook this evening that BBB in Pattaya is now closing "until the vaccine is safe..." "...See you again after airspace is opened with preventative vaccine" Sad. I hope that they will re-open when tourists come back, and that this is not permanent.

Agree a lot with this bibottomboy. I've been going to Madrid for years for this. No "venues" to visit, but the guys on websites are great.

I've gone ahead and booked a hotel in Bangkok for the end of March. A mix of desperation to get back, and very attractive prices. I'm trying to be optimistic that things will be better by that time. But if restrictions or quartantines are still in place, which could be very likely, I don't think I'll go. Fortunately its free cancellation right up until 2 days before the trip, so I figured what the hell. Wish me luck.

Hi Devin. Glad to hear someone else promote Milan. Milan isn't mentioned as much as other cities, but I've been here many times before and really enjoy these bars next to the train station. Including "After Line". Some of the strippers I've seen at that bar have been really hot (one of them I follow on Instagram - but I don't think he strips anymore ).

Thanks Jaizan People seem to either love or hate Romanians here. I love meeting the Romanians in Berlin and Milan. And prefer top. I was very interested to know what Bucharest would be like. But I prefer a bar setting - rather than meeting online or outdoors.

I finally cancelled my trip today . Was supposed to be going on Sunday. Depressing. But I know there are people in worse situations. So I try to have perspective. Does anyone have any thoughts on how the bars will fare through this difficult time? If you think there will be permanent closures? Or if they will just reopen as normal for next high season? I'm rescheduling the trip later in the year, hopefully when this has all blown over. But part of me is worried about the long term impact on the bar scene.

Oh god. I'm supposed to be travelling there next Sunday. I hope this is just another false flag. Is anyone able to provide any reports on what the bars are like currently?

I always stay at Lebua. Great hotel. Great service. Friendly staff. Never had any issues brining anyone back. Sometimes the attendant will ask for id. Sometimes not.

The numbers in Thailand (if accurate) are actually impressive. Considering that South Korea, Singapore and Japan have hundreds of cases, and Thailand has only 37 (2 in the last 7 days)
