Great report!! Thank you! The taxi issue can now be avoided by using Uber! I always use it in Brazil. But if you do take a taxi go outside to the sidewalk area ask for a metered cab and then ask "how much to go to Ipanema? If its more then 70R (less if its Copa)say no and walk away believe me they will come after you and give you a flat rate! You did well for your first venture into the saunas!

Monique recently married a Argentinian millionaire and seldom goes to 117, she owns the building 117 is in unlike the other two sauna owners and has a trusted staff running it. I believe she has owned it over 17 years! interestingly all 3 sauna owners are in their mid 40's

Around 2007 or so he moved into the basement of his sisters house in Kansas City where his elderly parents were. I believe he moved into his own apt several years ago and he is still in KC, you can find him on FB!

The Marriott is in a great location on Copacabana and about 5 blocks from the Siquerio Campos metro station(subway) and easy to walk to Pointe sauna! The Sheraton is too far for a first timer and not convienent for walking, imho. I was scheduled to stay there my first trip on 2001 and we moved to ipanema the next day after we realized it is too far and the windows look right into a favela across the road! I do agree that a hotel is probably best for a first time visitor...unless you are a big HO like me! :-) the Royal Rio is in a good location but charges $50R for a guest!

OZ, if it is over 80+ out they only wear speedos and flip flops everywhere and carry a T shirt if we happen to go into a enclosed restaurant(only if we really need the a/c!)

KevinC, i know you haven't been on this board too long and we don't know each other but i have been to Brazil(and Prague, Barcelona, Miami, Mexico) with quite a few different members of Boytoy! And i don't exaggerate if anything i leave out some things that even i would have a hard time believing if it wasn't happening to me! :-) Now in this paticular photo is not guys on the way to my apartment it is definitely representative as usually there are 4 guys and sometimes 5 that stay with me! I used to post photos of the guys so everyone could see them to get a idea of what is available as everyone's idea of "hot" or "sexy" is different! But a year ago a guy who had asked for a lot of help from me on this site and sent me personal emails requesting contact info as well as apt. Info., lied and showed photos i had posted on here for the members of this forum, to guys in the saunas! It cause a minor but still a problem for me to explain to one guy in particular! So thats why no photos of actual guys I have been with unless they have happened to have done porn so the pics are already on the net! But i guarantee the photo is representative of Brasilian sauna guys i see when i am there! I did send several pictures of my current "love" interest who i met last month in Rio to a couple close friends on this site, including OZ and they all thought he was very handsome!

A friend of mine sent me this photo saying someone caught the guys going to my apartment in Rio! LOL

Gotti, i always stayed at the atlantico from 2001 - 2005 it was mediocre at best but their liberal guest policy and their close proximity to Rogers, Estacau and pointe saunas made it woth it! But when 2 of those 3 saunas disappeared and their prices started to rise i went to a apt. Also we used to be very close to the long time staff many of whom had been there 15 + years, once the son of the owner took over direct mgt and they got rid of the old time staff the atmosphere changed. I might mention that the atlantico owns now 6 hotels and owns the building that Pointe202 sauna is in!

Does anyone know what happened to Expat? He used to be here in socal but the last time i ran into him had to be several years ago! I know he had some health problrms but then he just disappeared.....

I will be in Rio from the March 16th to 26th. This trip i won't be spending time in Porto Alegre or Sao Paulo because of a guy who i can only see on the weekends in Rio. So i am bringing a guy from Porto Alegre and one from SP to Rio from Mon.- Friday. Both oh these guys are new guys i met on my last trip in January as well as the guy who is spending the weekend(s). Who i think overall is the best looking guy i have ever met in Brazil and one of the nicest! The two weekends together should help prove or disprove that! :-)

Glad i am not the only one! And while i am considered at least average intelligence i could not comprehend what he was saying in paragraphs 2 - 5! IMHO he didn't contribute much of value because most of his posts took 2 or 3 readings to understand 1/2 of what he was saying! While i don't like to see anyone leave the forum, i can't say i will miss him!

One last but important point! After i write one of these reports i invariably get requests for introductions' phone numbers/ contact info, FB or instagram from guys on here. 1) while i have nothing against pimps I AM NOT ONE! I have had to find these gems on my own without help(exception being when i am traveling with FloridaRob and his guys invaribly wander into my bedroom when he falls asleep)! It requires multiple communication with the guy, he wants to know how i know you, what do you like to do, when do you want to see him, etc., etc. i don't have the time or interest and then if the guy doesnt do with you what he does with me , then i am the liar!! Been there done that! Never again! Happy to tell you what places i found guys at on what nights, the only exception to this rule has been my friend Paulerio on here because he ends up having more fun then i do with the guys! :-) thanks for understanding

you won't insult them they will just say "no I charge ____ for sleeping at you place" asking them to dinner is fine and a lot will take you up on it. unless is a Saturday night which is usually the night they go out with friends/girlfriends

I left that out purposedly because it is a very individual thing depending on your negotiating skills, resolve and most importantly your personality! What a guy will charge varies on how much in his mind he is going to enjoy/have fun and how much will be real work/effort on his part! IMHO. I had a friend who is a nice guy but is kinda boring and does not speak portuguese and wont pay for another boy so the first boy has someone to interact with = higher rate. As one example!

I tell everyone that Buzios is a place for Couples! You will not find sex here by yourself! The last time i went with friends we got stopped 3 times! Each time about c30 - 40 miles apart, By police for supposedly speeding(we definitely were not!) but but after giving the cop a $100.R bill we were sent on our way. Consider it a toll Road!!

It really depends naturally on the person but i know one boy well who only works 3 nights a week and usually does 3 - 5 programmas each of the days he works! He is very good at either Top or Bttm, i met him at 18 and he will be 23 soon! Working 3 days satisfies his economic needs and he has alot of regulars. Other guys like the one i fell in "lust" with this last trip only work one night every two weeks for spending money when he goes out.

Some final general thoughts. A Lot of the guys are into beards now (including the hottest guy i found this last trip and who i am going to marry!) most are 3 day to 5 day old growth but more and more are showing up with fuller longer beards! I dont paticularily like facial hair but its not a major turn off for me like it is for several of my friends. I would say on average about 25% of the guys... Rates in the sauna are the same as well rates for overnights! Because i had 3 (and one night 4)sleeping over for 5 consecutive nights i pay a lesser per day rate since they are getting 5 nights in a row instead of one! There is a lot of competition out there! Again this trip i ran into guys at both Point and 117 that i knew from 12 years ago that are back working in the saunas! lagoa in SP was great on Friday and Saturday nights, lousey on Sunday with Karoke singers that sounded like a bag full of cats fighting-imho! :-)

#4 lets me a little puzzled, because my apt. is directly across the street from the Hippie Fair held every Sunday, and I see many more hot guys walking down R. Visconde de Piraja in front of the hippie fair then I ever do inside the hippie fair. in fact I see hot guys walking down the streets of Ipanema and Copa almost any time of day.

Docbr lagoa was great on Friday and Saturday nights! Sunday night was slower and Kareoke night, with God aweful singers! Btw they have 3 or 4 professional masseurs there and i highly recommend the young short Venezuelan guy! I got massages from him all three nights i was there and gave him a $50.R tip for a hour massage and i wish now i had given him more! Not only is he very good and professional but on Saturday after 10:30 he came into the bar and had drinks with us! Really a nice guy with a amazing bubble butt! But i am recommending him on his professional skills! :-)

I forgot to talk about Bar Mixx on Friday night! It was packed! It starts about 10:30 For those who dont know about it it is one of, if not the last old-fashioned Hustler bars left in the world! The caliber of the guys is what you might have found in seedier State side hustler bars in the '80's! Most of the guys are what i would call "white trailer trash"(and as someone who comes from that background, i know what i am talking about!). :-) But there is always 3 or 4 guys from the sauna , plus some additional guys who have construction jobs but are short cash for the weekend and i have usually gotten lucky there! This Friday night was no exception! There were i would estimate there were about 25+ hustlers when i was there but there could have been anither dozen or so. I walked in and said Hi to the owner and someone taps me on the shoulder and i turn and it a blonde haired guy i had met once two years ago! Big smile and he says "do you remember my name?" I said "of course(i didn't) but quickly changed the topic before he could ask me by saying "i still have the photo of you i took that night"!(i did). He has a toned body looks about 21 but turns out he is 30! And boy does he know how to do everything and does it well! He also showed me a photo of his 4 yr. old son. The one advantage of Mixx Bar is they have 4 minimally outfitted bedrooms to rent in the back of the bar! He and i took about 30 seconds to decide to rekindle our time together, and i have to admit it was probably the best sex i had on this trip and i had some great sex!! I asked him why i hadn't seen him the last two years as i come to Mixx every 3 months or so and he says he works construction and had been in Uruaguay alot this past year. The guys at Mixx ask less then the guys in the saunas.
