  1. The green massage is still there, but I think it was closed in April. The shops across the road were open. There were a couple of massage shops open along Surrawong Rd, some more open on Silom soi 6, and I think a shop or two open around Silom soi 4. Things are changing rapidly so I don't want to recount my troubles finding the type of guys I like, but take a walk in those areas in the late afternoon/evening.
  2. I have a new recommendation from my last trip, it's not reasonably priced and more of a stuffy fine dining restaurant. The stunning boy I took with me turned a few heads, the table alongside us had an oh-so-posh British gay couple talking about this 1880s vintage they simply must try. They gave the best side eye glance and disapproving look I'd ever seen haha. The restaurant is Blue Elephant and was one of the best meals I've ever had in Bangkok, highly recommended if you want to try fine dining Thai food. https://www.blueelephant.com/bangkok/
  3. I had to delete my trip report, but because I started this thread seeking answers I wanted to at least provide an update on the Phuket scene in early April. 3 or 4 boy massage shops were open, but only 2 with any real selection. Blue Dolphin massage and 4massage, these two shops are in the middle section of the complex towards the Paradise hotel. Cute twinks were rare, but the boy next door and more toned guys are more common along with some heavier boys. 10-15 boys across both on any given afternoon, prices were standard 300-400 per hour + whatever you arrange with the boy in the room. 5 or 6 host bars are open in the bar street, with maybe 2 dozen boys that stand around in a group (possibly waiters?) at the start of the soi. I didn’t really spend much time at the bars, I went one night at 8pm and there were 6 or so customers spread out along the bars. I seemed to be largely ignored by all but one boy who wasn’t my type. The one boy who sat with me and chatted seemed to be looking to be offed but I wasn't into him and I didn’t really want to walk up and try my luck with the others. The layout is similar to Jomtien complex, with bars lined along each side of the soi. An outdoor drag lipsync show from 8:30-9:00. I left at 10:00, and the bars closed at 12:00 (still under government covid rules). I was told by the boy that Friday and Saturday nights have more people, so I might have just been unlucky. I stayed at Le Meridien Resort Phuket, it was nice and bringing back guests is fine, but it is more of a family-oriented place and not very convenient location-wise.
  4. I had more than 1 taxi driver in bangkok playing some gambling slots game while driving on my recent trip, at least it made them slow down a little haha. I usually take Nams taxi service between Bangkok and Pattaya, I'm ok with 1200 baht for the comfort of door to door service and i've never had issues with the lady drivers. I just email the day before to book and they're usually already waiting for me by the time i've arranged the pickup.
  5. Yeah, you're right. I am still in contact with the boy, so when I'm back in Pattaya I might find out for my curiosity. A lesson learned, it's unfortunate that these people exist.

    BJ Bars

Maybe in Tokyo In Japan, it sounds more like a sauna type arrangement, so I don't know what the moneyboy situation might be. The BJ bars for straights do exist in Thailand, I don't know if they survived covid but there was one in Bangkok I read about. I've never even heard anyone try to make one in Thailand for us gays.
  7. I just had my thailand trip report shared with a pattaya boy from someone on here this week. Oz was kind enough to delete it for me, but i doubt i'll ever write a detailed trip report again. I've considered paying the boy to find out who it was, not sure if it's worth my time to find and expose them.
  8. SuperA sign was still up as of 2 weeks ago, I saw it had the shutters open one afternoon but didn't see any activity up the stairs so probably just building maintenance.
  9. I saw a family with a kid walking into a bar in Boyztown in 2019, I was a little shocked by that, but I was just walking past so I'm not sure if they were turned around or not. I think we'd all agree there's a line to be drawn there, but any other customers I'm fine with, their baht is just as good as mine.
  10. Yes. Even if you just go for a couple of days, then decide if you want to stay. I was there during Songkran 2 weeks ago and it was very busy with boys and customers. Jomtien Complex is by far the busiest area, but you won't find gogo bars with pretty boys in Pattaya at the moment. It's all open fronted bars or outdoor seating right now, there are plenty of pretty boys. I am still in Bangkok now, if I didn't attach myself to a cute boy I like then I would have went back to Pattaya again rather than staying in Bangkok.
  11. Knowing the right people in Thailand can be very beneficial.

    Thai Pass

Great news! I had to laugh at the 12am closing time though, I have been to 1 bar that actually stopped serving drinks after 11. Those land borders need to open and scrap the security theater of SHA+ scheme for nightlife to really return to normal, but Thailand Pass has always had more pressure from the tourist sector so it makes sense for it to be the first to go.
  13. A boy I was with in Phuket 2 weeks ago mentioned the Paradise Complex bars are busiest on Friday and Saturday, YMMV depending on the types of guys you like but I wasn't finding much action there. I would focus on Bangkok or Pattaya for boy fun, and Phuket for beaches and touristy things. I've got a live-ish trip report going right now, second post is a summary of the Phuket scene. Might be of interest if you haven't seen it already.
  14. I just checked out of Poseidon in Jomtien Complex, they do ask for ID, but when a boy I had back only had a photo on his phone the night manager was ok with it as long as I was. Another boy I had back did have his physical ID and it was the usual situation of call when he leaves to make sure i'm ok. I was ok with it, they're willing to compromise if a boy lost his ID so no problem.
  15. Sorry to hear that, I hope you get better quickly and without problems.
  16. If we don't have someone on the ground sooner I will try to do a open/closed numbers check next week when I'm in Bangkok. Not 100% sure I'll be going to VCK but I'll at least do some reporting on Patpong 1&2 and surrounding sois. VCK Cool Space twitter shows they are open, but unsure on what the boy situation is.
  17. If they are hot and reply to me they are a money boy 😅 You can just ask where they work, if they say student, restaurant or regular shop 50% chance MB, if they say bar or massage 100% chance. Then they will sometimes just tell you they are a money boy, or you can ask if they want money to come to your hotel. It's not seen as a rude question in my experience as long as you don't make it weird.

    Thai Pass

In Phuket there is a man with a microphone that you tell your hotel to and they call it out so a person responsible for that hotel waves to you, then the representative calls your driver for them to pull up. I could imagine if BKK had multiple full flight arrivals at the same time being a bit more chaotic.
  19. If you're staying at almost any luxury hotel I would be shocked if they say anything to you about bringing a guest, I think mid-priced hotels trying to give the impression of luxury are usually the ones with more problems. I stay at mostly in Marriott Bonvoy properties but have never had so much as a sideways glance at walking in with guests anywhere in the world. You could email prior to arrival and ask if there is a guest policy, but I would just bring the guest in and walk straight to the elevators. In my view you're paying a premium for privacy and service, so I expect that.

You must be reading my mind, first installment of the report is about to be posted

    Thai Pass

my hotel didn't provide one either, i think it is expected to buy your own. They're only 100baht or so from most boots or convenience stores. I haven't heard of anyone having issues if they just ignore it, but that's not to say a future thai pass application could be affected. Hopefully this whole process will just be gone soon. I bought 2 yesterday in case i tested positive i would do a 'water sample' on the second to upload then just self isolate. thankfully the first was negative so no need to worry about anymore testing this trip.

    Thai Pass

I'm now on day 9 and still had not received a notification, i opened the morchana app and just refreshed the notifications tab by dragging down and it showed up. I guess i should go out and pickup a test and submit it now, but that app is a buggy mess so YMMV.

    Thai Pass

I have just arrived to Phuket under test&go, at the airline check-in counter they checked all of my documents but after landing they only wanted 2, the thailand pass QR code document and the Day 1 PCR test booking (booked through PSAS, test taken at the airport). I got my results within 4 hours, they give you a slip to register for email notification. It was all fairly simple and streamlined on arrival. I will have a live-ish trip report started for Phuket, Pattaya and Bangkok in the next few days.
  24. Here are a few suggestions from my to-do list, they're scattered around but everything is close enough to a train station or other attractions. I think almost all of them are casual restaurants or street food, some of the list was made pre-covid so check google maps if they're still there.
