Having been there several times on business, I found that individual Japanese once they accepted you as a friend were unfailingly loyal and genuinely kind, nonetheless the people as a whole are aloof, see themselves as superior to all others, etc. And are exceeded in this haughty pridefulness only by the Koreans. Whom in turn all other Asian nationalities seem to universally despise for those characteristics.
