Hope the men in London will suit you as well as those whom you met while being in the "Marvelous City." Recently, I had begun to make plans to be in Rio {Hee Oh} on July 30 until August 13 but had to abort all of my plans: health reasons. I do hope that 2014 will take me there, though!

I am not aware of the initials "DILF." What do these letters mean? Also, as long as I've been at this site and at www.daddysreviews.com. the term "boy" has been used in reference to the guys who work at the saunas. I use it with quotes sometimes, but personally I prefer to use guys or men when writing as well as discussing. That's my bias which I have accepted! I liked the Royal Rio Copacabana back in 2006 or 07; I stayed in a large room on an upper floor and thought the price was equal to the services rendered. To date I use apartments which are less pricey and more private because I DO NOT like what the hotels are charging visitors now {Thanks for checking; I did this earlier when I thought I would be in Brasil next month and the next. I checked hotel rates; then I went to two sites which has apartments for rent; there is a special thread to post and use for apartments, plus TomCal and a few others have given us heads up regarding the rental agencies.}

Thanks for clarifying for me. Postings of writing and photos have been quite lacking at this site/forum as well as a few others where I read and write and view. Guess the summer holiday time has folks doing other things. But, I for one, like to read and view and live vicariously through the experiences of others if I, myself, am not traveling, too!

The last time I was in Pointe 202 was in October of 2008. It was dismal then as opposed to earlier years, 2003 and beyond. I've found the sauna scene and the saunas to be ever-changing from the first time I visited Rio up to now! Wonder if they'll be around for another decade?

My first trip to Rio de janeiro was in October of 2002; in 2003 I went twice: for Carnaval and back in October. From then on I'd tried to make it back to Brasil {per se} at least once a year. Thus far it's been 8Xs. The boys have varied in looks and quality, but I've managed to find some who have interested me at both Club 117 as well as at Meio Mundo. ...have stopped going to Point 202 since 2008. My last visit was in 2011: ...thought I'd be returning this year {2013}, but my plans had to be aborted: health reasons. REMEMBER men, and I'd wear out this old adage further: "Different strokes for different folks." Tastes vary; so I find it difficult to honor "the quality of men has declined." If one cannot find the "boys" of his interest at the saunas, then hire independently from www.netgay.com.br.

I applaud all of you cooks out there. Ihpguy's recipe read and "tasted" rather deliciously through a vicarious experience. Hope to get a similar flavor at my favorite seafood restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. This beloved venue has "local's night" from Monday through Thursday; we locals can get sumptuous meals for under $12. Salmon is one of the meals. Guess I'll go there tomorrow and perhaps on Thursday of this week and attempt to frequent "Old Fisherman's Grotto" at least twice a week from now on when I am NOT traveling. Thanks, ihpguy. If I cooked, I would borrow your recipe with a slight modification {palm of hearts}. I don't like artichokes which are in the same family or perhaps are the same with a different name. I do not live too far from the "Artichoke Capital of the World."

Two weeks ago I'd planned to join friends in Rio de janeiro, but because of health reasons I again had to postpone: doctor's orders. But in the meantime, I was apartment hunting in Rio. While I was at it, I ran into this agency which is WORLDWIDE. Guys, you might want to stay in an apartment/loft/studio/efficiency dig while vacationing instead of at a hotel. Here is the website. I went to Cuba in 1998 for a little over eight days. ...was with a group of eight on a special mission. The place was indeed an eye-opener; the men gorgeous although I could only marvel in their beauty and handsomeness. Even brought back some cuban cigars for gifts. Danilo is back on my Facebook page lookin' damn good in his middle twenties. He's buffed and I yearn for his company and him himself. When he was 18/19, he was cute, and I remained tame, tame, tame when I was with him and when he was in my apartment and at breakfast prior to our going on our various tours throughout this very massive city, one that is far too big for me!!!! It's Sunday, May 12, 2013. I'm spending the day at home and am looking at apartments to rent if I manage to be in Rio for 10 days in August of this year. Also went to www.booking.com to check out hotel rates during this time. Damn, everything listed on the first three pages was over $1000. I stopped after that. Did not check to see what The Atlantico Copacabana Hotel was asking; I do know the hotel which I recommended in the first thread here had rates way over $1050 for a ten day stay! I'll continue to stick with renting apartments. But I want ambience! Many of the apartments don't offer that unless I go to the site which was recommended by another poster. It's something about "Exclusive Apartments."

Episevilla, I've been at this site for quite a while and at http://www.daddysreviews.com since the mid 90s, and during that time, very little has been written about the capital of Brazil. I've been to its airport, but that is all. Supposedly, it is a city of business and government, and on the weekends, the locals go elsewhere for their fun and relaxation.
