A lot of American insurance companies won't take overweight smokers - though I've had no serious medical conditions in the past 10 years.

I'm not convinced it's safer for gay teens in rural America now than it used to be. With the growth of the Christian Right in the South and Midwest, I suspect it might be a little worse.

I never expected Obama to be that gay friendly. He was against gay marriages during the election and he's part of a church that's not particularly gay friendly. Hillary was the one to vote for if you were interested in gay rights.

Gotcha. There's a derth of hustler bars in France so my recent experience on that level is fairly low. I get annoyed here because often the gay bars have more straight girls in them than gay boys - which is why I was happy when the Bear Cave created a men only policy. The downside is they won't let twinks in either and are heavy on leather scene guys, which doesn't really do it for me.
