If I'm asking here in the forum, it's because i don't care about some not up to date and/or copy-pasted/fake reviews on some "gay lifestyle website" which doesn't even list NMM on the saunas list. Do not discard NMM based on a recent negative review...many others are very positive. It really depends on the day you visit it.

I got the reply from the hotel: I am one of those people who "don't believe until they don't touch" so again i will not disclose the name of the hotel until i'll have a direct experience, but you can ask me in private. It's a good and new hotel in Flamengo, with great reviews and great prices.

Hi guys, my travel begins in 1 month and as i've promised to myself, i'm starting my "diary" hoping this will also act as an updated giude to dos and don'ts while visiting Rio for "sauna fun". Hi badboy, thanks for the post. I guess there's a mistype. Did you mean R$100 or 120? If yes I must say that prices are still the same of November 2016 when a close friend of me went to 117 and he was asked on average around 150, easily negotiable to 100/120.

How long will you stay?

I am familiar with sauna Thermas in BCN...but correct me if i'm wrong. In Thermas there are free rooms, which are just "boxes" of around 4 sq. meters of surface, while bigger and far better suites do have a cost. But I don't remember how much it is (maybe 15€/hr?). The going rate in Thermas is 50 (standard) to 70€ (uncommon). The going rate in SP as in Rio is not R$150 (42€), but 100 (28€). With some guys it may take some negotiation but that's it. No one will refuse R$100, unless they're very demanded. And in any case you're not getting asked for more because you're a tourist...but maybe because you're new. So in the best case scenario in SP you're paying something like R$130 (37€) including the R$25 room price, compared to the 65€ in BCN. But the huge difference is the quality of the guys.

For portuguese i suggest Bing's translator. To me it seems pretty accurate.
