Junior's son removed the extra 2 items from the bill. They prob need to replace the barman if they are the ones adding extra charges.

it's a tough one and I think we are all frustrated. I have Airbnb booked for Sao Paulo and Rio for 2 weeks in December (can cancel up till Dec) but waiting to closer to date before booking flights. At the moment Brazil has suspended entry permission for UK residents. Last trip to Brazil was end of 2019 and I've planned and cancelled many trips since! I'm also double vaccinated but even if Brazil allowed me in I would need to hotel quarantine on return to UK which I don't want to do. Also being doubled vaxxed doesn't mean we can't catch covid just symptoms should be less severe. I worry about being with 3 or 4 guys a night in sauna and how many they have also been with! So hoping in next 4.5 months the vaccination rates in Brazil improve so travel restrictions will also be less. I agree we are not getting any younger! And doesn't appear to be any end in sight.

Great topic! I often think about retirement or semi retirement in next 10 years. 5 years ago I was thinking I'd like to spend 3-6 months in Bangkok each year with London as base. Now Thailand not so cheap and air quality not good but good health services. Last few years I have focused travels in Brazil and the sauna scene so would love to semi retire in Rio or Sao Paulo, especially now with Pound against Real but concerns about safety as full time resident (never experienced any danger as tourist though). I generally stay in airbnb but like others said renting apartment and possibly sharing sounds like a great idea. Has anyone retired and obtained some sort of retirement visa in Brazil? I wonder how much you would spend on rent boys and how often we would visit saunas if a full time resident!

Not strict, never had any problems, but the thing to do in Bali is rent a villa (look up on airbnb), most come with own private pool and give you privacy. Recommend staying in Seminyak. it's where the gay life is and full of nice restaurants and beach.

Usually visit Bangkok every year but not been since 2019, miss Bangkok! Hopefully at the end of this year. Love the hotels, food, shopping, weather, Silom bars and the foot massages! Can really get pampered in Thailand, Just hope businesses will be able to survive with fewer tourists.
