This week I found a new favorite spot just outside of Tokyo - Chichibu. I went mainly because there is this very cool train - Laview - that runs from Ikebukuro to Chichibu. I didn’t know much about the place itself, but I fell in love with it.
One of the best things about it is that there is an onsen right next to the train station. It’s part of the station complex, which includes a food hall, bear and sake bar and a gift/souvenir shop.
My question is about cruising at onsen. Does it happen? If so, how and where does it go?

Just got back from a few days in Veracruz and Mexico City.
I flew Aeromexico business class to Veracruz. You really don't get much with them on a short domestic flight, but if you buy ahead of time, the fares aren't much more than the discount airlines once you add all their extras ✈️
I purposely connected in Mexico City on the way because I wanted to go to the Centurion Lounge. The Centurion lounges in Mexico are so much better than the ones in the USA, plus I've known the bartender there since he was skinny 🐷
Veracruz was mainly to visit an ex of mine from when I lived in Houston. We hadn't seen each other in a while, so it was good catching up.

For a distance that short, once you figure getting to the airport, checking in, security, waiting around and then getting from the airport into Mexico City, the bus really isn't that bad of an option. The woman who helped me get my visa overnight ran an agency that did the fast track thing. Personally, Vietnam is not a country I am interested in returning to, even though the food was amazing.

I got my Vietnam visa online. Did it months in advance. When I went to the airport, they wouldn’t let me board the flight because my passport expiration date was wrong. I know it wasn’t my mistake. I was lucky enough to be in a FB group for Vietnam travel and I posted there and a woman from San Jose was able to contact the embassy in HCMC and get my visa corrected. I was able to fly the next day. 

Point it, you can probably apply online. But be very careful. A friend told me the same thing happened to her daughter.

Also, Hanoi was a disappointment. Way too many motorbikes and not much to see.

But I have been many times since, and have not had a problem.  Meanwhile, I was robbed twice in Bangkok. Once a guy I brought back to my hotel took $300 out of my wallet while I was in the shower (he left me $300 fortunately, which I needed for my next trip). The other time, I had a chain stolen at Babylon without even realizing it. You might not get held at gunpoint in Thailand, but you can definitely get robbed.
