Over in Pratumnak near the top of the hill; just by the new Tops / McDonalds / Taco Bell / Café Amazon / Coffee House and Fishermans Village complex. Infact since the shops were built, the official/unofficial coach park is now reduced by 50%.

Is an actor speaking in another accent betraying himself?
BjornAgain replied to unicorn's topic in The Beer Bar
Two British actors that definitely made it in the USA, so much so; that when auditioning for their debut Americian parts the producers and production staff didn't know they weren't Americian. Idris Elba, now Sir Idris Elba, born in Hackney, London of Sierra Leone and Ghana parentage, auditioned for the role of Stringer Bell in the HBO series The Wire, told by his Agent to keep his background a secret, floored the producers with his Maryland accent. They were shocked to find he came from the East End of London. Same goes for Hugh Laurie OBE, he was asked by his Agent to submit an audition tape whilst out filming the remake of Flight of The Phoenix in Namibia for a new medical drama called House, still in costume so to speak, ie unshaven and bedraggled, and recorded in his hotel bathroom, his rawness and arrogance caught the producers eye. Bryan Singer as Executive Producer has been noted as saying "he's just the kind of compelling American actor I've been looking for". He was somewhat shocked when someone told him he came from Oxford, England and educated at Eton and Cambridge. -
As a couple of size Queens you'll be bickering like mad like a pair of fish-wives.

With your overgrown hairy ass, you could hurl the dangling pubes over the balcony and have your young male suitors climb up to 'rescue' you.

Was thinking more The Phantom of The Opera, face mask, cloak etc!

Theatrical makeup?

Yes staggered, can't remember exactly. Will take a wonder later in the week and photo the display boards.

Mel Harvey of Benidorm fame should open a Bangkok branch. Great motto " You don't have to be a cripple to enjoy your holiday".

The typical Australian ocker one, yer c*nt.

You should try the Turkish experience sometime, they use a lighted taper to singe the hairs in the ear, followed by a damp towel to extinguish any flames. The more rough-and-ready establishments just use a Bic lighter, then cup their hand over the ear.

Continuing the International forum of members loitering around Silom, met up with everyone's favorite Australian, @Olddaddy. For those not familiar with the long historic sporting rivalry between England (POMs) and Australia (Aussi), it's one built on total passion and no holds bared when it comes to language. Which in today's world of PC & woke, refreshing pleasant to use the old vocabulary. So great slagging between the pair of us. The Thai gentleman on the adjacent table just kept his head in his phone. Great time reminiscing about old 80's Australia, a mutual youthful time for the pair of us, discovering a couple of mutual acquaintances, plus catching up on our life histories. Food at Wine Connection in Silom Complex, if you're not been, highly recommended. Walk in wine cellar, choose your bottle at retail prices, no corkage when you pay at the table. If you're got a KBank credit or debit card, you get 10% discount. A great evening, and excellent company.

Sorry I missed you last night, you left before I arrived. See you around.

What started off as a private farewell dinner with @'reader before he left for the USA, slowly turned into a gathering of the Clans. Initially up from deepest darkest Jomtien for 2 nights grew to 4. @emiel1981 was bypassing Jomtien this visit, so increased my stay to getogether for a catch up, as unknown to him before we met we had mutual interests to discuss! Then @jimmie50 said he was in town, so sent out an invite, which quickly included @jason1975. Location, the one and only GayGuides favorite meeting location, G's in Soi 4. Good food and great banter, and as the evening progressed the jungle drums then added @10tazione, @'reader and a couple more. The 4 seater table got somewhat cramped at the end. Guido was on great form, now use to these Forum gatherings. Could of been a UN convention, what with UK, Netherlands, USA, Singapore, Denmark etc being represented. Post dining activities initially included Midnight Bar as a time filler before the aquatic floor show up at EDT, offing and goodbyes as we all headed off in our different directions. Cheers guys. Christmas anyone?

Gents, Came across this, surprising simple idea, just taken the length of time of the evolution of man before being invented. KickStarter launch is 19th March if anyone is interested.

So true, that's what killed the remaining inhabitants of the planet Golgafrinchan, simply by deporting all the telephone sanitisers, who, if you believe the story; were the ones that crash landed on and colonised 'The Earth'.

That was under previous management. The 18 moths, is that what flew out of your wallet when you had to buy a round?

Surely a night owl and a man of your financial status could have flashed the Dinners Club and hung around for the 01:00 show?

Good news, counter top dancing has been reintroduced at Rainbow Dragon Bar. Depending on appetite, 2 to 3 shows an evening. 1773049735641.mp4

Up Saturday & Sunday, also looking to touch base with The Flying Dutch man, aka @emiel1981 , if you fancy a bevvie?

Rainbow Dragon is my favorite watering hole in the area, not because of the local talent, as usually connected, but as the only place that sells Fever Tree tonic to go with my Bombay gin. Not even the world renowned Seven-Star International food emporium sells it. Was in there recently and got talking to Shaun, the owner, who was surprised I was only ordering Tonic as a carry-out, explained was going to Midnight, "say high to Mark for me".

All this talk of Bali, made me think of this. Known colloquially down under as 'The Bali Song', a nostalgic memory of the early 80's. Great band live.

They have suspended speakers that point onto the street, hard to say what inside was like. Their opening number involved the dancers on the street, not inside. The volume most likely to grab everyone's attention. Moved down to CockA2 where you could hold a conversation.
