First time B'kok. Apartment rental advice sought

The old boy is quite quick to administer a rap or two. Been caught a couple of times by jumping off the road onto his patch of pavement to avoid the oncoming traffic. -
Yep. There are industrial extractors at work, well; Thai style domestic extractors at least.

Quite a few do over in Sunnee, noticed Castro Show Bar in Boystown did. X-Boys don't, same for Dream Boys. Must admit, when I first visited Nice Boys a couple of years ago, there were ashtrays on the tables, so partook for a bit of 1980's nostalgia. As a rule, "nipping out for a breath of fresh air".

Didn't know we had a culinary section.

Happy to report, Cloudy the 12 year old female moggie happly ensconced and actively on duty under her favourite table, no 16. Interestingly, 2 difference French couples sat there oblivious to the fact they were eating "manger à trois". Lovely bottle of 'off-piste' Austrian Cabernet-Merlot to wash down the Pork Knuckle and Sausage & Schnitzel followed by a sharing plate of Kaiserschmarrn.

To quote George Herbert Leigh-Mallory from the 18th March 1923 edition of The New York Yimes, "Because it's there".

Same building, show room on the corner, think it's Bad Boyz.

Yep, some of the finest white painted concrete you'll ever see.

Had you more as a cricketers jockstrap and box person.

Popped in Friday as a group of five, Paul is still in Pattaya, drops in once or twice per week now, all depends on his health and his ability. No family left in Denmark, so permanently residing here. @Olddaddy "Is the owner Paul now back from Denmark? 🇩🇰". I dont think he ever left. Just recovered at home. 9 boys on duty strutting their stuff. Unlike, say NighBoys, only 1 boy on their phone, admittedly whilst sitting down, not whilst on stage. Boys all in underwear or speedos. 3 other groups of customers present when visiting. As time was pushing, headed off towards X-Boys, for what I thought was the 12 o'clock show, however starts at 23:00, so only caught the tail end. Full House, about 10% female. Only saw the weight lifting, allegedly 170Kg and the walkabout fuck show. Went to Panarama for a drink to kill time before the 1 o'clock show at Ambience. Turned up at 00:55, despite a billboard advertising the show, was directed over to Castro Show Bar, saw the Thai / farang Breakdance troupe, after that it was wannabe miming vocalists, lasted 2 ear splitting numbers then headed over to Dream Boys until kicking out time at 04:00. Just noticed the Diners Club logo, thought they had mostly diminished. According to Google for Thailand:- "Diners Club cards have limited acceptance in Thailand, primarily working at high-end establishments, i.e. hotels, major retailers, and specific airport lounges." Good to know X-Boys falls under the "high-end establishments" category.

To say nothing of the 30,000m² Frost Magical Ice of Siam amusement Park, the largest in South East Asia, with the largest ice sculptures in South Asia.

You not getting confused with endives?

Use to do the same in the UK as a traditional Christmas treat. When I was out in AUS in July, brought 200 back, however all gone by Christmas.

Agree, the Milo Kit-Kats are something else. Top-tip, if eating the fingers, store them in the freezer, find it improves the taste. However, nothing beats a Cadbury's Double Dipped Cherry Ripe. For some obscure reason, only available in AUS & NZ.

Check the Smog report first, otherwise you might not see anything.

True. Being a Scot, then National Dress decrees going Commando anyway. I got the impression, it was to stop the leeches gaining entry! -

As there are 30 days in June, so with 2 changes, would have been 15 days in a row! Reminds me of a story I heard at a presentation back at school given by the famous Scottish mountaineer Hamish McInnes on first asscent of The Prow of Mount Roraima, a table top mountain that borders Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana back in 1973. It was the inspiration for Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World. The location extremely remote requiring a couple of weeks of trekking through virgin rain forest, swamps, crossing rivers and food shortages due to wet weather and no helicopter dropped supplies. Anyway, Hamish explained the art of packing a minimal wardrobe, as weight for climbing equipment was more important. Day one, underwear worn as normal, day two; inside out, day three; normal but reversed, day four; inside out and reversed, day five; commando. No dinosaurs were found at the top! -
Not sure where you were waiting, but if still within the Ekkamai complex then Grab drivers might be cancelling rather than risk the wroth of the local site based Taxi mafia. I walk out of the complex, turn left and walk down pass the Taxi rank and bus stops, then turn left and call my Bolt or Grab from there. Location implies you're at The Thai Astronomical Centre. As tend to be heading west, so on the correct side of the road. There's a good tree on the corner, so shelters you if it's raining.

Homophobic actor turns to GoFundMe to pay rent

On a similar vein, when working for The Dirty Digger (Rupert Murdoch), the chief Accountant at was then News Group Newspapers, told me of the monthly line item covering the cost for re-carpetting the News of The Screws ( News of The World) editorial floor. So he visited one Saturday evening to understand the issue. Whilst all the hacks (journalists) were smoking and eating their various take-aways at their desks, as the only canteen at the time was reserved for the actual print floor staff, should a story break, then desks were cleared by pushing the ashtrays, food wrappers / boxes, plastic cups, whiskey & beer bottles and newspapers onto the floor which was duly smashed and trodden into the carpet by all the fervent activity, leaving just the typewriter and space for a notebook. The problem was later averted by moving to a new office with a full staff canteen, lino and carpeted (the reserve for Management) and banning food at desks. -

TM30 refers to the document that should be processed by law by any hotelier, Accommodation host / owner / manger notifying Immigration of any staying foreign national. The action should be processed with 24 hours of their arrival. A courtesy confirmation should be given to the foreign national. In the old days this was a manual process, ie physically attending the local Immigration office, nowadays this is carried out on line. It's the reason why hotels and law abiding guest houses / establishments ask for your passport at check-in. Failure to comply is a fine to the establishment. However, it's not unheard of for Immigration to fine the farang as well. The 30 refers to 30 days, which links into the Hotel Act (2004), covering short stays. For those staying longer we have to adhear to the TM90, ie update Immigration every 90 days. TM stands for "Tor Mor", the Thai abbreviation for Immigration Bureau.
