When it comes to Scotland and sewage, they don't have a good reputation. Currently Scotland is only serviced by the monopolistic utility company, Scottish Water. Interestingly enough, the Scottish Parliament has only mandated that Scottish Water need only report on 4% of it's own infrastructure. Unlike England which has 100% reporting. From a recent independent report by Surfers Against Sewage (SAS), which reported on 6.7% of the Scottish network, they concluded there were 23,498 spills over 208,377 hours for 2024. Which when extrapolated over the whole network equates to 350,716 spills over 3,110,104 hours. Given that the 2024 Scottish population was 5,546,900, this gives a discharge figure of 6323 hours per 100k of population. Compare that to England, which had 3.6m hours and 445k spills with a perceived population of 56.6m, then this equates to 787 discharge hours per 100k of population. A big difference! Agree, all figures are disgusting, but Donald's little problem (if it exists) and the reporting of which, sounds more like selective journalism than putting it into context within the bigger picture. As to downsizing his investment, this was in the main, due to hostile local objection. His priority was the course, which happened, the rest in investment was Aberdeenshire's loss.

Here's Jim from Singapore recent video from a couple of months ago for reference. My FlightRadar app had him staying at The Pullman on SiLom Road midweek!

I find it's a useful tool to cross reference against Grindr, clarity of their name, plus alternative photos.

Would also suggest ThaiFriendly.

Living out here as a kid, then always in and out of the pool all day long, never wore Sun tan lotion, despite the looks of someone of the Ayran race, and never got burnt. My dad on the other hand, used coconut oil and was, to coin an old British saying, as black as the ace of spades. However, noticed in my 20's taking European holidays, ie 2 weeks of as much sun as possible, then did get burnt, so started to use the old SPF 8 or 15 on the face. Only time I got seriously burnt was on my feet, as they were covered in sand, so assumed they were protected, couldn't walk for 3 days! Did some research into SPF's at the time (1980's), and longevity was based on 15 minutes, so SPF 8 was rated to protect for 2 hours. So came up with the theory of total exposure for 15 minutes, then spent the rest of the day under cover. Always got a good tan after the 2 weeks. Also added a good smothering of moisturiser to the face at the end of the day. Looking at the ingredients of today's Sun tan lotions, they contain half the contents of a pharmacist's laboratory. So wouldn't use them. Nowadays, adopted the Aussi mantra of "Slip,Slop,Slap", although without the Slop.

Australians have a habit of getting flight durations wrong, remember years ago pulling Jimmy Barnes of Cold Chisel up over the lyrics to Khe Sanh, their early 1980's Top-40 hit, where he wrote:- Well, the last plane out of Sydney's almost gone And only seven flying hours, I'll be landing in Hong Kong Today it takes 09:40 hours. Jimmy's reply was "it rhymes better"!

Current stats have 1.2%* of the male population of Australia as showing symptoms of dementia, knowing @Olddaddy is such a unique individual, I wonder if he falls into this category or is his own special case? * = Australian Institute of Health and Welfare 2023 report.

To misquote the late, great Sir Les Patterson, formally Cultural Attaché to The Court of St. James and Chairman of The Australian Chapter of The International Cheese Board, whose favorite hobbies included none other than pocket billiards, sauna construction in Thailand, wine tasting and infidelity, "not if you're a Vegemite driller". -

Sir Henry was a constant bed fellow of mine when I was confined within one of England's Public schools back in the mid 70's, no doubt the same for other members of this fine parish. Snuggled under the sheets with my transistor radio and ear piece. If caught by the dorm monitor reported for a dose of corporal punishment and confiscation of much prized radio. Tuned in to the dulcet tones of Liverpool's finest waiting the next installment of Vivian Stanshall's masterpiece. Those were the days.

Gave up on BBC 2 when they started removing the likes of Steve Wright, Simon Mayo and PopMaster, so now listen to Greatest Hits Radio instead. -
Agree, if you get a front room looking out on the Complex, then can be a bit noisy. When booking, ask Chris (Manager) for a back room, you'll not hear a thing. Also booking direct, you get a discount off food or drink.
