Hey all... coming out of posting retirement to let everyone know I'm fine. I posted the other day that I'm going to just keep in touch via DM and Line. Scroll back a couple pages... should still be there. But seriously ... very touched by the concern! Feel ok after the head bump. Said goodbye to the Chiang Mai guy yesterday and the little guy got emotional. He's such a happy go lucky kid so that shook me. In Pattaya for a few days. Then wrapping the trip up in Bangkok. Again, I'm in posting retirement lol, but will say this Boyz Boyz Boyz... YES YES YES! Way up near the top of my favorites in Thailand. As for Pattaya itself, still not feeling like it's anywhere in contention of being a settle down spot. It's a nice fun spot but the quality of life day to day isn't here to me. Maybe it is in the burbs, but I don't know if I wanna be a burbs guy. It's still Bangkok or Chiang Mai for sure. Much love all! Safe travels and as I said, if you wanna keep in touch, drop me a DM!

I wish all would just take the easy way out and tap ignore. One thing about Thailand I love is you learn to prioritize inner peace. Let go of the people and things in your life that don’t belong. There are 2 members who own the distinction of getting my ignore. The board shows me that they have replied, but I don’t see it. It’s like watching TV with mute on. But the annoying thing is I still see their babble if someone quotes them. Or worse a couple people have sent screenshots with “did you see what that idiot said”. I know intentions are good but there’s a reason I like the ignore button. 😆 Babies cry out for attention. They’re either hungry or need a diaper change. Many of the trolls probably also need a diaper change too… but the big thing they want is your attention. They don’t get much attention in the real world so they seek it out in places like this by trying to rile people up. You can participate and give them what they want. Or you can just ignore and let them think they won. The board was super helpful before my trip and when I first got here in finding some fun. But I think I’m good now. The training wheels are off. 😉 None of us are getting paid to be here. You’re under no obligation to waste your time with Internet trolls. I’m finding my best interactions are happening with a couple members here on the board and in direct messages… so I think I’m going to keep things there. My guy is Japanese so that probably inspired his pick. It definitely had a Japanese theme to it. It was so good. Don't know how much of a spin they put on the Khao Soi but however they did it worked for me. I really cringed before the first bite. Thought I'd hate it. And yeah, watching for the symptoms for a concussion but I think I'm ok. But sometimes they can take a few days to materialize. Thanks pal. It definitely shook me last night but today just some neck and back pain... but nothing unmanageable. Most of the day I didn't even think of it.

Haha that would actually be kind of hot. Oil wrestling match. Three-way. Totally down. So the trip almost came to a grinding halt yesterday afternoon. Local guy wanted to ice skate for the first time after I told him I play hockey. They have a nice arena here. All is going great until he took a spill and brought me down with him and I hit my head. I was a little freaked out when I saw the reaction of the ice rink attendant when he watched. A little bit of a headache, but I think I’m OK. It’s been a little over 24 hours. No signs of something serious. Low-key day today with the Bangkok guy. Walked around old town and Nimann. Checked out some temples. Came back to my place had fun. Then he picked out an incredible place for dinner. Probably the best one of the trip. Khao So I. It’s on the northeast side of the city. I had the fried rice because I didn’t think I’d like khao soi. He was ordering it so I could try it, but knowing that I am not a fan of curry or coconut I really didn’t think there was a chance I would like it. I actually did. But the fried rice with pork was absolutely phenomenal. Normally fried rice is fried rice. I don’t know what they do, but it was incredible. Might even go back again tomorrow. Got home and spent some time during the sunset at the pool. I’m still a little woozy and sore from yesterday. He was tired as it was a pretty big ordeal to get from his place to the airport in Bangkok yesterday. So he just went back to his hotel. It’s 7 here so there’s a passing thought of getting together with the local guy tonight, but I think it’s better if I just rest. 😆

He’s a lot of fun for sure. But yeah, like I said even him I had that conversation that I want him to find someone that makes him happy. When you’re in your 20s like he is, it’s your time to have fun and explore the world and all the possibilities. I don’t want him saving a spot for some old geezer like me who still hasn’t decided where or when he’s going to be back. I’ve had a couple situations similar to this when I was in Colombia. Two of the guys I would date if I lived there. One was just pure animalistic fun lol. But I’m still in touch with all three. One in particular I still converse with pretty much every day. Another teacher by the way. But I never ask if he’s met anyone and I certainly don’t bring up guys I’ve met.

No, it’s only been three days. Ha ha. Valid question though. In the big picture, Bangkok really would score more points that way. I got a lot more attention from guys my type when I was there. While things like healthcare, cost-of-living and quality of life are the most important things to me, the chances of finding someone special is probably a back of my head factor. I haven’t really dated anyone seriously in 10 years actually 15. It’s just been little play things like this usually when I’m on vacation. And more often than not I pay for the affection. So this has been all new again and it’s definitely made me feel like I’m back in my younger hotter days. It certainly scores more points for Thailand overall. There was a thread about this a few weeks ago I chimed in on. For those of us into younger guys, and are looking for something real and not transactional, there are many more possibilities here.

Forgot to share a moment yesterday that cracked me up. @spoon was asking if when I get back if I would date any of these guys I’ve been seeing. I have mixed feelings on it. All three were fun experiences here while I’m thousands of miles away from home. But back home, I could never date someone half my age. I wanna bring my guy to family functions, out for drinks with coworkers. I would feel really awkward bringing someone with such an age gap in the real world. That said when I move here maybe I would be more open to it. Anyway, the moment yesterday that cracked me up is the Chiang Mai guy and I were on the couch at my Airbnb chatting and cuddling. His age came up. But I remembered that in my Grindr profile I don’t list my age so I asked him to guess. I’m sure he was being polite but his first guess was 34. I’m assuming by guessing 34 he really thought around 40 or 45 which is also flattering. I’m in my early 50s and that blew his mind. Sure enough his mom is two years older than I am. I always hate hearing that. 😆

nothing sums up my trip to Ko Samui more with the lack of action in my bedroom and the nonexistent scene there than the amount of attention given to my 711 visits 😆 I did get some useful tips from that thread though. Those electrolyte powders really work well I’d never used one before. Have to admit I didn’t care much for the boss coffee but I think I just got the wrong flavor. I’m not a black coffee drinker. Definitely gonna make sure I have another one of those milk buns before I go back to the states.

The only one that that conversation has happened with is this new one. The Japanese teacher is a sweet guy, but his English is really limited. It’s not like we have that soulmate thing going on. 😉 the second one lives in Cambodia so no that was never really a discussion. He was just visiting Bangkok. We’re still in touch on social though. The guy who lives here … yesterday we had the talk that I had with the other two that I hope he finds someone who makes him happy. But he’s probably the one of the three that if he’s single when I do get back here for good I would totally be down to date. My ideal timeframe would be to move here in May or June. But I’ve got a lot to do before that. And I still haven’t decided if it’s going to be Chiang Mai or Bangkok.

Dude, I’m telling you that’s all him. With him, I can be done in about three minutes. 😉. All he has to do is take his shirt off. He loves to control it. Honestly, that’s one way we would be incompatible. I like to get right to it. I’d love to have that image that I’m Mr all night long guy. I am so not. 😆

This thread has ended up as useless as my Koh Samui one. Friday night in Chiang Mai and I'm not going to a bar or getting a massage. Sorry all lol. Ended up skipping Mae Kampong so I could spend another day with the local. Started off with some bedroom fun here at the Airbnb. We then went up to the rooftop pool and it turned into a photoshoot. I'm a wanna be photographer and he was impressed with my work especially once I showed him color correction. You really can't take bad shots up there anyway... it's a beautiful infinity pool and you've got the mountains in the background and it was sunset. He loves Italian food, as do I, so we checked out a place near my Airbnb I'd walked by a bunch times. It was good but like last night, nothing worth plugging. Dessert again in my bedroom and he just left... he's working at 6a tomorrow. Two rounds again today - so yeah not at all horny tonight to go to find paid fun... this kid has more than taken care of that need. So the juggling act begins in 24 hours. Heard from the Bangkok teacher. He is coming after all. Here we go.

It almost happened a couple years ago. I was so excited. This guy I had a crush on in high school added me on Facebook. Back in the day he was on the swim team… had the perfect swimmer body and cutest smile. He was effeminate back then so I knew he was gay, but I was way in the closet at that point. Now it’s years later and he still looks great for his age. He started liking all my photos. I did the same. We lived about 30 minutes away. Kept talking about getting together sometime to catch up even though we were really not at all close. We just knew of each other in high school. Life happened and communication slowed. At about three months later, he posted a photo with him and his fiancé announcing they were getting married. Oh well, so much for that. Back to the twinks. 😄

I know many in open relationships that function great. You just have to establish those boundaries and keep communication open. I’m an only child so I like to keep my toys for myself. 😁 if I saw my dude with another guy, I’d wish them the best and move on. But yeah, there’s certainly been no discussion of exclusivity with the guys on this trip. With all three I’ve actually had the conversation that I hope we keep in touch and they find someone special. Told all threeI’ll be jealous, but happy for them. Meant it. I feel super lucky to have had their attention on this trip. It was the ego boost I definitely needed as the past 10 years, I’ve pretty much kept myself back in the States. Once you hit your 40s those Grindr notifications start slowing significantly. At least for the guys that are my type. I wish my taste in guys would evolve to guys my age, but I’ve kind of lost hope on that. 😆

I’m with you. I didn’t plan to juggle. I’m just not used to having multiple opportunities at my age to have fun with guys who look like this without hitting the ATM. 😆 the one I met this week was on Grindr. I didn’t message him. I just used that tap feature thinking I had no chance with this guy anyway. Then I got the message alert. Not only do I not like to juggle I try not to even make unpaid connections anyway. If I’m on a trip to a place where I know there’s some naughty fun to be had out at those bars, strip clubs etc usually the last thing I want is someone who’s boyfriend material to derail the debauchery. 😆 But yeah, at my age, being in any way attractive to a quality guy in his 20s is so beyond flattering. When I look in the mirror, there’s not much I see left. I was the hot guy in the club 30 years ago, but that was 30 years ago. I’m trying to embrace good-looking daddy status. 😆

I’m way late to the thread, but finding money boys at least in Bangkok was not at all a challenge. As soon as they see the complexion and my age, they pounce. 😆 To bait them a bit more to let them know you’re hitting the ATM on this trip, I’d put visitor as your title. One other tip use that tap feature. Instead of messaging them just give them a tap that you think they’re hot. If they’re looking for cash, your new message alert will happen pretty quick. But be careful as it’s happened to me a couple times on this trip I’ve actually met guys who were genuinely interested. A nice problem to have, but it can be a problem. 😆

Good Friday morning fellas. Not sure what the day has in store quite yet. Today was the day I planned to go to Mae Kampong. Already booked the round-trip van ride. But my local guy here has the day off and unfortunately, the van is sold out both ways. We looked at other van services and it looks like there’s really nothing practical, except if we were to take a Grab out there which doesn’t seem worth it. I’m sure I’ll have another chance to go again even possibly on this trip. But we’re gonna do something else that we can do together. Maybe that café north of Chiang Mai with all the dogs and elephants that I think @musgrave was referring to early in this thread. Still haven’t heard from the Bangkok guy. Could be he’s just busy with work. But the last interaction was I think Wednesday when I asked about his flight details. So I might not have to do any juggling after all.

If they were all paid situations, I wouldn’t feel bad about it. Obviously at that point it’s transactional. When I go grocery shopping, I’m not committed to one grocery store. 😆 But yeah when it’s two guys who have a genuine interest, I do start to feel guilty. Both of these guys know I’m just here for a couple more weeks and paths may never cross again. So there’s no long-term thinking. That’s why I’m kind ok with juggling. But my conscience still eats at me.

Evening gents... another fail in terms of giving you any good juice on the bars... I think I'm in for the night. Local guy and I spent the day together. He just left for work. Had some fun this morning when he arrived at my Airbnb. We then went out to breakfast at my favorite little American diner and then headed back to Nimman. Checked out their mall (Maya). Nothing like the mega malls in Bangkok, but nicer than most US malls these days. We went to a movie (Avengers) where I started falling asleep in the first hour. How he wasn't yawning and dozy is beyond me. He worked until 6am and was at my place by 10:30. After we came back and grabbed dinner at a little Thai restaurant across the street. Nothing worth plugging but it was ok. And he was my dessert back in the Airbnb. 😜 He wore this yellow zip up jacket today with no shirt underneath. It was driving me wild all day. His chest gets me all, well you know. Most guys are about bulge and so forth. I'm a smile and chest guy. He is well equipped but his rare combo of cute and sexy is what drives me nuts. So it's been 24 hours since I've heard from Bangkok guy. I'm starting to wonder if he might hang back there this weekend. I'm kind of hoping he does. But yeah I discovered you guys as I was preparing for my visit. The trip was set up to test myself to see if I really would like life in Asia as much as I thought I would. I've spent much of the past year researching all the various logistics of a move here. I didn't want to do 1 or 2 weeks and spend half of it jet lagged or running from one tourist trap to another. I wanted to give enough time to walk around neighborhoods, talk to people and sit in coffee shops and so forth. That said, I'd always heard Thailand has lot of opportunities for some naughty fun so that's when I found this site. You'll see over on my Bangkok thread the first couple weeks of my trip I was like a kid in a candy store. I hit up all the bars and a few massage spots. There wasn't much time given to exploring all of Bangkok because at the start of the trip it really wasn't in contention for where I'd want to live. That changed... so when I go back next week, there will probably be fewer bar visits, but I'll still squeeze a few in for sure. The chats and threads veering off course happen in boards like this. I found most of them useful and entertaining. But then again as you probably saw I'm a big proponent of the ignore/mute feature on sites like this. I have zero interest in drama and argumentative types. I'm on vacation. If you annoy me, one click and you're gone. Imagine if we had that superpower in the real world?
