I always wonder about it and Nature Boy when I pass them during the day. I'll be sure to check out Super A when I'm in town next month. Not sure if y curiosity will extend to Nature Boy though

Gottab reacted to floridarob in Adventures of a Bangkok Rookie August 2026Don't leave without a home base....
From a post of someone that had businesses in Thailand and got burnt/worn out
After spending more than two decades living in Thailand, there is one uncomfortable truth about Bangkok that every newcomer eventually has to confront: this city is built on impermanence.
Most expats arrive with wide eyes, swept up by the energy, the nightlife, and the intoxicating freedom of a place that feels like an endless holiday. But vacationing in Bangkok and trying to build a permanent life here are two entirely different universes. Within six months to three years, the vast majority of them pack their bags and vanish. It is not the cheap, easy retirement haven many imagine, and the reality of daily life quickly wears down the romantic illusion.
The hardest part of staying long-term is the quiet, exhausting cycle of building connections. You invest time, vulnerability, and genuine energy into forging meaningful friendships, only to watch those people board a flight home a year later. You find yourself trapped on an emotional treadmill, constantly having to replace people just to fill the sudden voids in your social circle. Making friends with local Thais offers warmth and genuine hospitality, but the cultural boundary remains—no matter how many years pass, you will always be the expat, the outsider passing through.
Eventually, you stop building deep roots with people who are already standing with one foot out the door. You realize that expecting long-term, everyday community in a city this transient is setting yourself up for heartbreak.
Bangkok does not mourn departures. It has seen millions arrive with grand plans and leave quietly in the night. The moment your seat at the bar goes cold or your condo lease expires, someone new steps right into the gap the very next day. You aren't remembered, and you aren't missed—not out of malice, but because the city and its locals are simply used to the rhythm of the revolving door.
It is an unforgettable place to live, but it will never be the home you left behind. Bangkok takes everything you give it, moves at its own relentless pace, and never looks back. -
Gottab reacted to aaroninatl in Adventures of a Bangkok Rookie August 2026I don’t wanna say I’m already a legend or anything here in Bangkok, but they’re naming places after me. Breakfast this morning was a bacon and cheese sandwich that was phenomenal with dessert in the form of a s’mores cookie at Fat.P “the fat kids eatery.”

Gottab reacted to aaroninatl in Adventures of a Bangkok Rookie August 2026Reporting live.
why not. Instead of trying to recall stuff. Let’s come to you live from the ‘Kok. Currently 1 of 3 customers sitting at Banana. I was drawn in when I saw 2 cute twinks wearing Banana shirts on the street. 5 guys currently stoneface on stage. None are those twinks. They’re bus boys I guess. Dang. Oh well I’ll hang for a bit. No twinks on stage all gym goers. None my type. But night is young. They are not.
I like the banana layout. But yeah a little too old and muscly for me. I’ll give it til 1030 to improve.

Gottab reacted to aaroninatl in Adventures of a Bangkok Rookie August 2026I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it open at night. I’ve walked by but during the daylight looks pretty quiet and empty. But I don’t think it’s closed. Someone asked about this bar in another thread. Going to try to check it out tonight.

Gottab reacted to aaroninatl in Adventures of a Bangkok Rookie August 2026You know, it’s all your fault… all you guys. After reading so many of these posts over the past few months before my trip you got me way too excited so it’s all your fault. Thanks for all the great information you guys have posted over the years. It intimidating going to a new city for a first time. I can navigate you through the scenes In Montréal, Fort Lauderdale, Prague, London, Bogota, Medellin. I know them all like the back of my hand. So it’s exciting, but challenging roaming here for the first time. There is that kid in the candy store factor. My eyes are wide and I can’t wait to experience everything for the first time. I have a total of about four weeks in Bangkok, two in the front two in the back end of the trip. But there is that drive to get everything in as fast as possible. But definitely glad I ended up just taking it easy last night when we got back.
This Shark still has some miles to swim. Seriously though if you guys go to that mall aquarium, don’t buy the ticket. We had fun, but was way overpriced.

Gottab reacted to Daddy415 in August 2026 Trip Report: Another Top Bites the Dust and a Power Bottom is BornThis is my trip report for our two weekends in Bangkok. We are an older married couple and when we come to Bangkok we invoke the Bangkok Rule in our relationship, and have a great time at the massage spas. We don’t go to saunas or other bars, though I’m hoping we get to go to some of the drag bars this trip.
I am purposely not mentioning names for the most part except for one name of an exceptional therapist. It seems like that’s the unofficial rule here, please correct me if I’m mistaken. Otherwise I will attach the spa photos of the therapists.
First weekend:
We landed at BKK at 23:45, delayed out of Narita due to heavy storms there earlier in the day. Based on what I had seen in this forum, we booked Fast Track with the Sawasdee app along with a buggy and were so happy we did. We were at a very distant gate (they refund the buggy if you are at a close gate) and the professional “butler” met us at the gate and whisked us to immigration, taking us into the VIP lane to the far right. We waited about 10 minutes there but the regular lines were at least an hour, maybe 90 minutes, with some very unhappy looking people.
Saturday morning:
We went to Stars and chose two “pretty boy” therapists. You know, the ones with the higher tip amounts. As I have heard others on this forum say, the pretty guys just don't try as hard for the most part. It was fine, and I bottomed for the first time in my life (with a condom, on prep). I liked it. Why did I wait so long in life to try this? Turns out, I am a power bottom after being a power top all these years.
The VIP room was nice. Not immaculate, but nice, lots of room, bed and massage table. This room became “my” room over the course of our stay as they got to know me at Stars, and I even imported guys from other spas by asking Stars to book them and come to “my” room. One of the VIP rooms has a large jacuzzi tub. They also turn on the AC before the session so the room is nice and cool, unlike Kman and 9-Teen. I am pretty sure that the air conditioners at 9-Teen are just movie props and don’t actually cool.
Saturday afternoon:
We walked through Silom and my husband went to Paradise (literally) and I went to 9-Teen, the smaller one. The guy outside, W, was a little older and had a nice smile and was more my type. A lot of the guys outside the spas were too young looking. I wanted a man - an older guy. I end up giving advice to the younger ones and worrying about them. Yes, I’m a daddy. W turned out to be one of the best on the trip, and was a good kisser and very patient with me. Not a lot of English (“yes” and “no”) but we made it work. I didn’t get the sense that he books up a lot so I’m mentioning him here. Have at him, boys!
The room was hot and the AC was not on until we walked in. We showered and the decent massage turned into sex of course (no mention of tip, so i gave him 1200 at end) and I experienced bottoming with a larger guy than the morning one. I’m guessing 7 inches, maybe a little less, but nice and thick, and always hard. He had a larger cock and I was a little worried about my second bottoming experience but turns out, the big ones feel even better, the little ones slip out, so now I’m a power bottom size queen.
Also this therapist was enthusiastic and aimed to please. I had a couple of p-spot orgasms and then a penile orgasm, shooting all over his chest as I rode him. He seemed like he might cum too but I remember reading here that it can blow the rest of their day, so I slowed down a bit. I was experimenting with positions and trying to figure out what would work to keep him from going into piledriving / jackhammer mode. I guess some of you guys like that because they all seem to do it. I like it slow and steady and like to feel the head of the guy’s cock against my prostate, slowly grinding and teasing it. Now I’m a power bottom size queen control freak.
All the therapists seem really focused on you having a cock orgasm, and then the session is over. Nope, been there done that, I want the multiple p-spot orgasms, so get to work and take me to paradise and let’s cuddle at the end. And I paid for 90 mins and that’s what I’m getting even if we sit here and talk about cats. Meow.
A word about douching:
I was super concerned about this. What to use, how to do it, where and when to do it. One of you mentored me but for the sake of his privacy I won’t mention who told me how to douche. For me, this is what worked:
Smaller travel douche from Amazon. Squeeze the bulb then let it suck in purified water from a bottle. Squeeze out any air, lube it and your butt, and insert (feels kind of good once it gets in there, hmmmm again this bottoming thing is pretty great) and swish around. Expel, do it again until all clear. I did it about 2 hours before my appointments but I had trained my bowels on early morning movements and then would book spa appointments for about noon.
Here’s the douche I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D94B9KWH
I had tried larger / anti backflow ones at home and those were a disaster and would have taken up too much luggage room. Way too big and too easy to over douche, causing all sorts of yucky problems.
Use purified water which is really important. Your bowels do not have the acids your stomach has to kill harmful bacteria. Do NOT put tap water up there.
I did avoid spicy food (well toned it down, guy’s gotta eat) for the most part and figured i might have to take an anti-diarrheal at some point but did not. I read on here that some guys take heavy duty stuff that shuts down their digestion but I dont want to walk around looking like Buddha. Lots of fiber pills and water.
Going to bed the first night, my prostate was pulsing like a hungry baby as I thought of the day and looked forward to more tomorrow.

Gottab reacted to jim19xxxx in A day of new experiencesIt's my 3rd time in Thailand. First time was 9 years ago, as a freshly 20yo. This time I'm back, now for a solo-trip.
I landed the day before. Booked a hotel in the Ari area. Nice area for cafe hopping, not much else to do besides that. Cool for a day. Or like I did, go one bts station away to the Saphan Kwai area.
The Saphan Kwai area is, like many of you probably know, the area with a lot of boy massage shops. Why there? I have no clue. Before my trip I made a line account and added all the massage shops I could find. Searched the forum here and on other places in the internet.
After wanting to try this I finally got trough with it. It would be my first gay massage and the first time ever paying someone for sex. Never really felt the need, because I get enough messages of guys as cute on Grindr. But still, there is some excitement and convenience in just booking it. Plus, you know he is going to do some attempt for a massage.
I decided to go with Love boy, or phetboy how is used to be named. I messaged them on line and they replied quick. It was clear though they didn't speak English and probably used a translation app (and not a good one).
I send them the photo of the therapist I wanted, and got a message back that he would check the dog. Yes, that's no typo. Still a bit confused he asked what time. I said 15.00 or 16.00. Got back a message saying the first was fine and a photo of their menu. I went with the oil massage.
It's closely located to the BTS and Google maps brings you there no problem. The entrance has blacked out doors and a fake hedge in front.
I was there 5 minutes beforehand. Got handed a bottle of cold water and then my therepist walked in. He seemed to have gotten there by motorbike, since he was carrying a motor helmet.
I immediately recognized him from the picture, although he was definitely more on the Twinkier side than the photo would make you believe. Now is that for me no problem , since I like twinks but it's good to mention. I think their mayority of boys is the Twink type.
The boy spoke a little English and seemed to be a Thai. Without much words he made me feel comfortable and seemed to like his job. At first I was a bit afraid it could become a bad experience, since he was one of the boys marked as straight. Judging from my impression I think he genuinely is straight, but he takes his job seriously.
The massage room is simple but clean. It's a mattress on the floor situation, and a normal pillow. Since the main event here isn't the massage, it might even be more convenient than a regular table. After being told that I could take a shower I did. When I came back he was sitting on the ground watching videos, wearing only a towel.
He quickly stopped the video and started massaging my legs. The massage was better than expected, but ofcourse not like anything you get from a professional salon. He did quite some leg work and some back and shoulder. Ofcourse my ass needed the most attention and he had some unique tactics I haven't experienced at normal massage salons.
After about half an hour, maybe a bit more he quickly got up and went to the shower, all without saying a word. Knowing what would he next, I laid there waiting for a couple minutes before he came back.
When he came back he was rock hard and not wearing the towel anymore. I got on my back, and he said something to make sure I wanted more than a massage. He got on top of me and started kissing my body and sucking my nipples. Then he pointed to a condom and asked 'you want?'. After nodding yes he proceeded to put it on and got inside me.
He was going for it really well, had quite a big one and really knew how to use it. Then a couple minutes in he got called, which he answered. All without stopping. Ofcourse this was kind of a turn off to be. Must be another shop asking if he was available later. It was all in Thai so didn't understand much of it, but I was happy when the call ended.
After he really did his best again and delivered. He gave me tissues to clean up and went for a shower himself. I wasn't sure if it's normal to shower as well, but I would go straight to my hotel anyway where I could take a shower.
After we were done we went downstairs. I paid both the shop and the therapist and ofcourse gave him a little extra.
Would recommend the massage place, it's good value for money and the therapist I saw I would see again.
Later the night I went to Dream Boy for the first time. I didn't off a boy, since I was with a friend but there were some cute boys on stage. The boy my friend and I found cutest got offed real quick, so that was a shame for us haha!
There was a decent crowd, seats where somewhat filled. Boys plenty and all types and ages. Was surprised to even see some guys old enough to be my dad.
Shows were so so, not really my thing and drinks are expensive. That said, I think the main attraction here is to take a boy home.

Gottab reacted to aaroninatl in Adventures of a Bangkok Rookie August 2026I apparently just got the first massage I've ever had in my life. I didn't know I've never had a massage. But apparently until today hiring massage therapists based solely if they could've been in the Backstreet Boys in the 90s might not have been the best strategy. Went to see Kairo at S'Sense.. Mostly because he looked like he could've been in the Backstreet Boys in the 90s. Or maybe more appropriately BTS now. The body to body part of the massage was quick and kind of sucked. But the massage itself was unreal. I feel fantastic. His skill was incredible. Almost makes me wanna get legitimate massage massages from time to time now. Almost.
I'm going on about three hours of sleep again. Being in this city is kind of like waking up and it's Christmas morning every day being a rookie. But the downside of that is Christmas Eve. Kids don't get any sleep. Nor have I. But definitely heading out to hit the gogo bars tonight.
Today's random observations:
- Blown away at the speed of Grab food deliveries. I had to scramble to find clothes.
- People are nice even on Grindr here. So I'm trying to do the same.
- About to ride BTS for the first time. Not the Korean boyband sadly.
- Blown away that there's so little smog and gas smell given the traffic here.
- Muy Thai live suggestions anyone? I might go to one Sunday that's big.

Gottab reacted to durian in Danang visit.Border hop time again. We decided to give Thailand a miss and went for a three month say in DaNang.
Getting the visa was easy, online application £20 fee and your details, address flight passport etc etc. Arrived in four days by email.
We have rented an apartment on My Khe beach front and the first thing that caught us out was the construstion noise next door, it's been a month of hammer drilling which is now over thank goodness. 8am to 5pm. There are people on YT who suggest noise can be a problem but until you actually arrive at your destination I'm not sure how you can know in advance.
Google maps doesn't update often enough to help. The demolished building is still a hotel on google maps.
We haven't come for 'Gay Danang' to be honest there's not a lot here for two older men. That said we have found a couple of bars and the Gentlemans sauna
HOI AN 'LIVING COLOURS' a very friendly gay bar, we got tipsy there a couple of evenings during our weekend stay, everyone seemed really friendly.
It wasn't difficult to strike up conversations and enjoy a few drinks.
They do kareoke and drag but not on the nights we were there.
The two chaps who run the place are very nice and very friendly, as has been said in thier google reviews. Well worth a visit, we will return.
I care about cleanliness behind the bar and the way cocktails are prepared really stood out here. First Class.
DANANG QBAR Quite a small bar and not particularly comfortable, the bar staff were very friendly.
No draught beer, just cans. We sat outside so we could smoke, inside was busy but not the sort of bar where we found it as easy to chat to strangers as we found at 'Living Colours' A few table and chairs so once seated the patron chatted to themselves, Probably won't go again.
It was quite something to be sitting outside smoking and as one barman arrived we heard him announce to his buddy that he did indeed have a UTI.
I'm glad it wasn't my slice of lime he manhandled in to a cocktail as I stood at the bar getting my beer.
Not overly happy with the standard of hygiene at the small sink behind the bar. The bar is located a 10/15 minute drive from the heart of the touristy beach area.
GENTLEMANS SAUNA DANANG. This has mixed reviews on google so here's my honest opinion as a 'sauna whore' for most of my adult life.
We went yesterday (saturday) 5pm -8pm it was busy with a wide mix of ages and body types and nationalities.
As you enter there are changing lockers to the right, you are only provided with what can best be described as a flannel. No towel to cover your modesty or dry off with at the end of your stay. TOP TIP. Take your own towel for drying off before you leave.
The flannel serves no real purpose, I honestly thought it was a bit daft the way chaps were holding said flannel over thier cock as they wander around covering thier modesty.
I chose the sluttier option and just wandered naked, doing my best to hold in my beer belly. Fuck it. Lifes to short.
It is very dimly lit so it's not like you're walking around stark bollock naked in homophobic lighting.
On the ground floor a small steam roon and dry sauna and communal shower area.
The small steam room is a classic free for all grope and suck and mingle. It was a constant stream of men in and out, no real action in the sense of 'orgy' but it was busy.
The usual rules apply, a gentle removal of an unwanted touch is all that is needed.
The two upper floors have a combination of dimly lit single rooms and open larger rooms, the stairs could prove fatal if you're not careful, marble surface and wet flip flops are not a great mix, so take care as it is not well lit. (flip flops provided depending on how you feel about wearing them not knowing who else has worn them)
I think being barefoot could prove even more slippery. Once your eyes adjust the lighting is perfect.
The chap who runs it is very friendly, there is some refreshment, beer with a ton of ice in it or a soft drink in those dispensers you often see at a large gathering in a restaurant, and some very small plastic cups, and a table with sliced fruit are free.
We went by Grab and being modest, not wanting to startle the driver, we chose our drop off point as 'Kims House Homestay' which is just a couple of doors away.
We did have a short wait when we Grabbed home as there were not so many drivers available, theres a nice coffe bar on the corner at the end of the street to sit and wait, ALLY COFFE' It's a 15 minute ride from 'tourist central' at the beach where we are staying.
We will certainly go back, reviews on google suggest many people don't like being touched in a dark steamroom, I would say to them if that's not your sort of thing then don't go.
It's a gay sauna and in all my sauna years I would expect nothing less than some random stranger touching my cock or feeling my butt while jammed up against 10 other men in a dark steam room. Isn't that the whole point?
I certainly enjoyed sitting in there stroking the back and butt cheeks of what looked like a very fit korean chap while someone else was sucking his dick. Sounds like a perfect afternoon to me. As for the fun sized japanese daddy licking my nipples and playing with my balls, thank you. Just what I expected.
From memory the entrance was about 180k which is ridiculously cheap so don't even begin to complain on your google reviews.
Grindr is fairly busy, Hornet less so, we have had several hits during our first month. We haven't taken adavantage of any of those hits on the app but we do like to know what's around us and who is available.
One very handsome asian lad offered us sex for 900k in our room promising me that he would sit on my face, and another very fit looking asian lad offered us massage for 1 million!
It's possible DaNang has more to offer younger visitors but we wouldn't know as we're not in to nightclubs or dancing so haven't explored that aspect.
We're happy with a dark steam room and DaNang certainly has one of those, albiet quite small.
It also has to be said that for eye candy Danang is 10/10 Wandering along the beach is mouthwatering, we love nothing more than sitting at the tables of the beach bar which is opposite the NESTA HOTEL with a San Miguel beer (70k) and watch the half naked men play ball. Further north along the beach, maybe a 10 minute stroll, you will find a few muscle boys working out and posing which is a pleasant addition to an evening stroll.
I've had some use of the Moreta app to pay in VND but usually choose cash or Wise card, unless it is cash you are going to pay a little extra either way.
There is LOCAL PAY app which is widely accepted but from my understanding you have to buy bitcoin to top it up, I'm not up for dabbling in bitcoin so chose not to use it.
VP Bank doesn't have withdrawl charges but the ATM's I found were limited to 2 million (Danang and Hoi An) where as if you don't mind paying around £10 in ATM and WISE charge combined I find it easier to use the nearest cashpoint and take out 5 million. The grab ride to my nearest VP ATM is a £5 return journey.... and bear in mind that you only get a couple of charge free withdrawls per month from WISE as it is.
We're here until the first week of Sept and then back to Penang, we've decided/booked Chiang Mai for the next border hop in December.

Gottab reacted to Flynn in hotel questions after DmDDI stayed at the Quarter Silom for three days earlier this month. There is one stunningly cute twink boy working reception. I noticed him immediately and had to force myself to not stare 🫣. Later that evening after checking in, HE messaged me on grindr. We talked and made plans to get food soon but could not hookup until I moved to my next hotel (Voco). I was quite busy entertaining new friends and neglected to follow through with our dinner plans. When I moved hotels I messaged him to invite him over but he was now apprehensive. Apparently, he asked his coworkers about me and they compared notes to determine I had brought 4 boys to my room for fun 😭. Little did they know I had made friends with some fellow hotel guests so their estimate was a little low. I always assumed that hotel staff didn't really pay attention since there is so much debaucher going on but apparently they do notice everything and will gossip. While the idea of meeting a cute hotel worker is appealing it might be more trouble than it's worth.

Gottab reacted to Ruthrieston in HIV/AIDS Generation SurvivorsI worked as a nurse on one of the biggest HIV/AIDS wards in St Stephen's Hospital in London in the 1980's. We had to recruit gay volunteers to help us transport patients as no porters or ambulance staff would touch our patients. The volunteers even had to take the bodies of the dead to the mortuary, and we had to pack and ligate the bodies and put them into big plastic bags. There was so much prejudice and fear. One day a fellow nurse who had only been working on the ward for two weeks was with me making up a bed for a patient waiting on a trolley in the corridor when I looked up and saw that his lips were turning blue, a sign of PCP, a common cause of death. I persuaded him to get into the bed. I went to call his parents who lived in Manchester and his father answered the phone and when I told him his son was dying he shouted "Let the faggot die!" and slammed the phone down. He had only been in London for two weeks so he had no friends, so when my shift ended at 3.30pm I went and sat with him, and he died at 7pm, he was 24 years old. We all lost too many friends. The person who helped most was Princess Diana who was often filmed and pictured visiting patients and holding their hands and hugging them, which proved that AIDS was not transmitted just by touch.

Gottab reacted to Mavica in HIV/AIDS Generation SurvivorsI’m in Florida, USA, today and was out with friends for the evening. Returning home I tuned-in to cable network TCM – Turner Classic Movies. Philadelphia (1993) was the feature movie. I’ve always had an emotional response watching the movie. At some points, tears … always. Tonight was no different.
There are those of us here, not all, who are old enough to have lived through the terror of HIV/AIDS crisis starting in the early-1980s. To say I was sexually active those years is an understatement. Somewhere in the range of 30 guys I’d slept with didn’t survive, as far as I know. I survived, and I’ve often wondered: why was I spared? A generation of gay life was wiped out.
44 million people have died from HIV/AIDS thus far. Half have been men.
I’m sometimes triggered by posts on these forums suggesting money boys, garotos, whomever are pressured to or paid extra to have unprotected anal sex, to perform acts which place them … and many of us … in danger.
The reminder that, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it," is as applicable today as ever before.

Gottab reacted to jason1975 in June 2026 trip reportMindful of the crowd of people who would be leaving when DJ Station closes at 3am, I decided to leave 15 minutes earlier. As my date and I walked along Surawong Road towards soi 6, checkers champion turned out from Patpong 2 and was happy to see us. He had just finished closing up Midnight and was on his way home. "Join us to Skybar?" I asked. He replied yes happily. Just before we reached Skybar, we passed by small eatery. The 5 Cambodians were there eating supper. My date suggested that we eat something first. I agreed and I found out that the eatery serves authentic Myanmar dishes in addition to Thai menu. It is owned by Myanmar boss. My date is on friendly terms with the two young ladies who work at the eatery. The 5 Cambodians finished eating and left. As it turned out, my date misheard them. They didn't intend to go to Skybar to continue dancing. They went to eat supper at the eatery near Skybar. So it was just me and my 2 companions who went to Skybar disco. To clarify, the correct current name is h.i.m. but many people refer to it as Skybar. Entry to the disco on the 4th floor costs 200 baht per person with one drink. Compared to Beef (400 baht and 2 drinks) and DJ Station (400 baht and 1 drink but a big drink), Skyball is cheapest disco in Silom in absolute term. The building consists of 4 floors. The first floor is restaurant with open karaoke, the second and third floors contain private karaoke rooms and the fourth floor is the disco which operates from 3am to 5am. Not a very big space but pretty good vibes. It wasn't purely a gay disco. There were men and women. Three groups had ordered beer towers and were drinking. Even split of Thai and international. About 50 people in the disco during our time there. At 4am, I decided it was time to end the night. I tipped my date for his time and I also gave a small tip to checkers champion. He initially refused to take it but I squeezed the notes into his hand. Both guys walked me back to airbnb on soi 3. They stay at Sathorn so they would need to pass by soi 3. I got back into the room and I fell asleep straightaway, half from fatigue and the other half from drinking beer, whisky and vodka the whole night. Overall fun experience. Would do it again in future!

Gottab reacted to jason1975 in June 2026 trip reportWhat do gay tourists do in late afternoon and early evening in Bangkok before they go for dinner and visit to the bars? A massage is most common answer. Or a trip to sauna or onsen. Or enjoying food at hotel lounge (for those who stay in fancy hotels). Or just having a nap or chilling in room. I decided to do something different today. I decided to join the mass aerobics at Lumpini Park!

Gottab reacted to Enchanted_Elixir in Trip Report: Songkran 2026GASS
GASS is very much a late-night venue. You don’t really start your evening here, you end up here, usually after Silom has already worked you over a bit.
Tucked into a more intimate space, above white rabbit bar, it feels immediately different from the larger, more chaotic clubs. Lower ceilings, tighter floor, bodies closer together. There’s a sense that the night has narrowed its focus. Less wandering, more intention.
The crowd skews 20s to 30s, well put together, slightly sharper than average. Not necessarily the biggest bodies, but definitely curated, good hair, good outfits, people who’ve chosen where they are and why. There’s a quiet confidence to it.
What sets GASS apart is the presence of specially invited go-go dancers. These aren’t freelancers circulating the room. They’re part of the venue’s identity, in the corners, in the light, part of the choreography of the space. You watch them, they perform, but there’s a clear line. It keeps the atmosphere focused, almost theatrical at moments, without tipping into anything transactional. Crowds are invited to participate and touch.
Music leans deeper into late-night territory. Less pop, more rhythm. Something you feel in your chest rather than sing along to. The kind of sound that makes conversations shorter and eye contact longer.
And that’s really the point of GASS. It’s not sprawling. It doesn’t try to be everything. It compresses the night into something more intense but still fun. You dance closer. You notice more. You stay longer than you planned.

Gottab reacted to Enchanted_Elixir in Trip Report: Songkran 2026Back from Songkran and, honestly, still slightly dazed. If you’ve done Bangkok before, you think you know what’s coming. You don’t. This year felt… bigger. Denser. As if the city inhaled and then forgot to exhale.
Silom, in particular, tipped over into something close to myth. One day had to be shut down entirely because the crowds simply became unmanageable. Not “busy”, not “packed”, properly overrun. Water, bodies, music, whistles, foam, heat. It stopped being a street and became a current you were carried along in.
And the boys. OMG. Silom was thick with gleaming circuit party types, bronzed, oiled, and very aware of it. The sort of crowd that makes you stand up a little straighter, or at least consider doing a push-up later. Everywhere you looked: mesh tops, tiny shorts, water guns held like accessories rather than weapons. It felt curated, but not artificial. More like everyone had quietly agreed to bring their best game.
Queues into the mainstays were, predictably, biblical. DJ Station and GOD had lines snaking well into the street, damp, impatient, but oddly cheerful. No one really minded. That’s part of the ritual. You queue, you flirt, you get splashed by strangers, you make temporary alliances. By the time you get inside, you already feel like you’ve been out all night.
What’s changed, and what surprised me, is how much the scene has expanded. There are new venues now, not covered by the trip reports on this forum. Here are a few:
Cake (bear bar)
CAKE is one of those places you don’t quite notice at first… and then suddenly realise you’ve spent half the night there.
Positioned as a bear bar, it fills a gap Silom didn’t quite have before. Not in the old-school, slightly tired sense, but in a way that feels deliberately warmer, more social, and a bit less performative than the usual circuit-heavy scene outside.
Inside, the set-up is fairly straightforward. Compact, a bit dark, music at a level where you can still talk without shouting. The lighting is forgiving in the best possible way. It invites you in rather than putting you on display. You order a drink, you linger, you end up talking to someone.
The crowd is exactly what you’d hope for:
Bears, cubs, and plenty of admirers
A fair number of 30s and 40s guys who look like they’ve outgrown the need to impress.
Some younger visitors drifting in, curious, often staying longer than they planned.
A sprinkling of circuit boys who, after a few nights of posing, seem quietly relieved to relax a bit.
There’s a noticeable shift in tone compared to the rest of Silom. Less peacocking. More eye contact. People actually introduce themselves. Conversations last longer than one drink. It feels… human.
During Songkran, CAKE leaned into its identity rather than competing with the madness outside.
The pool party on the 13th of April was, by all accounts, exactly what you’d imagine and then a bit better. Not polished, not overly curated. Just a proper gathering. Think bodies of all shapes in the water, laughter cutting through the music, beers in hand, someone dancing a bit too enthusiastically, someone else cheering them on. Less about spectacle, more about participation.
You could feel the contrast with the main Silom strip. Outside: hyper-toned, high-gloss, slightly intimidating. Inside CAKE: softer edges, easier smiles, a bit of mischief, a bit of flirtation that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
It’s also one of the few places where you see generations mixing without tension. A guy in his early 30s chatting comfortably with someone in his late 40s. No hierarchy. No obvious social sorting. Just people… being there.
Boy Camp
This one deserves a proper mention because it signals where Silom is heading, not where it’s been.
Boy Camp sits right in the middle of the action on Soi 2, but it doesn’t feel like a legacy venue. It feels new. Slightly more curated. Slightly more aware of itself. And very much built for the current generation of Asian gay nightlife.
Physically, it’s a multi-level party bar with a compact but high-energy layout. Think three floors stacked vertically, each getting progressively more intense as you go up. Downstairs is more social, transitional space. Middle level starts to pulse. Upstairs is where it tips into full party mode. Music leans heavily into K-pop, Asian pop, and circuit-adjacent beats, which gives it a distinct flavour compared to the more Western-heavy playlists at DJ Station.
The crowd reflects that shift.
You get a lot of:
Younger Asian guys, particularly Thai, Korean, Taiwanese
Well-groomed, fashion-aware, slightly softer aesthetic than the classic circuit muscle crowd
Groups of friends rather than lone cruisers
A noticeable social-media polish… but still playful, not overly cold
There’s a kind of “idol energy” to the place. Not intimidating, but very visually tuned. People here know how they look under lighting.
What’s interesting is that Boy Camp isn’t primarily about cruising or even heavy drinking. It’s about energy, movement, and group dynamics. People dance in clusters. They flirt in waves rather than one-on-one. There’s a sense of collective rhythm rather than individual hunting.
Compared to older Silom venues:
Less chaotic than GOD
Less chaotic but more curated than DJ Station
Less transactional than the go-go style places historically tied to the Patpong area
During Songkran, it becomes something else entirely.
The street spills into the venue and the venue spills back into the street. You get soaked boys coming in, drying off, then going straight back out again. Water guns abandoned at the entrance. Shirts half-buttoned or gone entirely. The lighting hits wet skin in a way that feels almost staged.
And because the crowd skews slightly younger and more Asian, the aesthetic shifts from “circuit brute” to something more sleek, agile, almost choreographed. Less about size, more about lines. Less about dominance, more about presence.
If DJ Station is the institution and GOD is the pressure cooker,
then Boy Camp is the new language Silom is learning.
And judging by the queues forming outside it this Songkran,
it’s a language people are very keen to speak.
By the end of it, Silom felt less like a party and more like an event that briefly took over the city, something between a festival and a fever dream.
Would I do it again?
Absolutely.

Gottab reacted to traveltom in Trip report - Dubai (February 2026)Hi everyone!
Two weeks ago I got back home from a very nice trip to Dubai (before the war started) and Thailand and I want to share my experiences with you.
I will write a separate trip report for my time in Thailand. This one only covers the 5 days I spent in Dubai.
It was my first time in Dubai and it had never been too interesting to me to actually visit, but for this trip I just wanted to explore a new destination for a few days and Dubai seemed to be the right choice.
I arrived on a Sunday morning and took the metro to my hotel. I specifically picked a hotel close to a metro station as that usually gives you quite some budget friendly and quick transportation options without having to use taxis/grab/bolt/etc. all the time.
I did a bit of sightseeing and of course also had a look at Grindr and Romeo. Using a VPN, it was no problem to access the apps. I was surprised about the amount of guys using face pics. There were lots of Filipino and Indian guys, a few Arabs, and a few Africans. I had not specifically planned to hook up in Dubai but one guy from Senegal had gotten my attention, and I couldn't say no to that African twinkish jock, who was in his mid twenties. We chatted for a bit and I asked to meet him the next evening. I was really nervous how things are at hotels in Dubai. The elevator/stairs of my hotel were opposite of the reception and there was always a security guy present. Mister Senegal asked for my room number and name, in case he needs to register, but I wasn't sure if it would be a good idea to share that so I didn't and suggested to meet in front of the hotel. About 20min before our date I went outside of the hotel for a cigarette and waited next to a couple of other guys just sitting and smoking. He arrived on time and looked very handsome. We chatted a little and I used my very rusty French (language) skills. The profile pics definitely didn't lie and he was indeed a French speaker so Senegal could definitely be his country of origin. I felt a little anxious when we walked towards the hotel entrance, just totally unaware if anyone would stop or question us. No one did, we quickly got in the elevator and went to my room. He wasn't particularly shy and we had a pleasant time together. He certainly tasted good 😋. I didn't have much local currency on me, so I had offered him 50 Euros when we were chatting before, which he was happy about. He told me it was only his second month in Dubai and that he was looking for a job in a hotel. Once we were finished he left and I was very satisfied.
I arranged a second date with him for my last night in Dubai. Same procedure with meeting in front of the hotel. This time I wasn't that anxious, considering how easy it was the first time. This time, the security guy interfered though, when we wanted to get into the elevator and asked if he was registered as a visitor. Pure awkwardness on my side in that moment but Mr. Senegal didn't seem to bother and just quickly showed his ID at the reception who typed in something on her computer and in about 1 minute we were good to go. It was pretty obvious what was happening, but the hotel staff stayed discreet and I might have even noticed a little smile from the muscular Arab security guy. I wouldn't have said no to him either... I still had a bit of a bad feeling if the visitor registration would cause any issues when checking out from the hotel. Anyway, we went up to my room and I enjoyed the time together with Mister Senegal once more. It was equally fun as the first time and once we were done and he had left, I started to prepare my luggage for the departure the next day. At checkout, there was no mentioning of my visitor or any extra charge, so I was relieved and glad that I took the opportunity to add Senegal on my list of nationalities I had sex with.
My flight left Dubai on February 26 around 6pm towards Kuwait, where I had a connection to Bangkok. Considering the tension between the US, Israel and Iran the weeks prior, I was glad that my stay in Dubai was unaffected. Only short after my arrival in Thailand did I realize how lucky I actually was to still get out of the Gulf region just in time, when I read about the start of the war the next day.
My next trip report will come soon and focus on the fabulous time I had in Jomtien and Bangkok.
Cheers, Tom

Day 6
Last day
I woke up to a text from ai muscle guy who needed to delay our meeting. I told him the night is kinda tight on schedule. He suggested we keep each other updated as he might be able to meet earlier. We texted through the day but unfortunately could not meet. I do hope and believe that was not our first and last meeting. Ever since coming home he’s been texting me about next time so hopefully there will be one.
I had breakfast and a shirtless workout with some other hotel guests at the hotel's gay gym.
From there, I took a motor taxi to a guy I've been texting to. He lives in one of many thousands of small and luxurious apartments in the fancy high buildings of BKK. The view from that place was incredible. We had some fun and I left without cuming as I wanted to save my cum for Trol.
Massage number 5: Trol from Klover
Arrived at fancy Klover to meet beautiful Trol. His massage was generic and somewhat identical to the previous one's routine. They are probably trained by the same person. Trol is beautiful, gentle, lean and athletic. He continued to the extras without discussing the tip. I do not appreciate that, I prefer clarity. He went out of his way during the extras taking all of his clothes, giving me oral, and letting me play with his body and ass especially. I enjoyed that and would repeat. I gave him 2k and he seemed OK with that.
From there a motortaxi to IconSiam for some strolling and food at that extravagant mall. After that, a final visit to Maxwell. That was my most exciting visit to that place. It was the engaging chinese hunks that were on the menu that night. After donating my sperm at a guy's mouth, I went back to my hotel to pack and rest before my last massage.
Massage number 6: Ruj from TCS-Spa
That guy is fucking hot. Resembles Trol physically but more lean muscle and less of a gentle attitude. Also a very beautiful guy. The massage went well. He speaks zero English and communicates by translation app. Maybe that is the reason that he as well did not discuss the tip. He made a real effort in my sexual gratification including pouring oil on his body and taking my hand on a guided tour between his abs, biceps, cock and ass. After I cum he led me to the shower. I thought that he is going to shower me, but there he wanted me to fuck his sexy thighs as he jerks off and cum. The shower is in front of the mirror and he made sure we both watched ourselves, dry humping, as he made it to his blasting orgasm. No wonder that guy is always fully booked. After dressing he asked me until when am I staying in town which I stupidly told the truth. I think he might have agreed to give me his phone for a future rendezvous if I told him I'm staying more. I gave him 2k and he seemed OK with that.
After finishing all my massages, I can now rank them according to my experience. Rank is starting from first place:
Singha - SSense
Ruj - TCS
Sunji - History
Kigi - Residences
Trol - Klover
Yuya - Residences
As always - YMMV.
Interesting to see that the top 2 are cheaper than those after them.
From TCS I took a motorbike to the hotel, shower, checkout and a taxi straight to Suvarnabhumi where I started writing this report. After the first leg I had a long Abu Dhabi layover. I took a taxi to a nearby mall for a gym workout, shower and breakfast. The Abu Dhabi taxi back to the airport was autonomous which was a first for me.
When I arrived home it was already evening which I enjoyed spending with my family. Gifts were greeted with excitement.
This concludes yet another intense BKK trip. I enjoyed this one a lot.
I’ll be looking at the comments and responding while this topic is still alive. After that, Best way to catch me is through a DM here or Telegram: @Biatrixkidoo
Hope it won't be too long till I start writing about my next trip.
Shalom!

Day 2
Writing this from the flight back home.
Woke up at about 10:30 AM. I missed breakfast. V already left the room. He told me the night before, that he has stuff that he needs to take care of and that he will be back in the evening. This was perfect for me since I had lots of plans.
Grindr Served me well this trip. After waking up I got a text from the preferred part of the couple we partied with yesterday. He told me he came back from the party earlier and that his husband his out at an After party. He also told me he is now horny. I suggested coming taking care of his needs. He told me he needs to ask permission from his husband. His husband gave him permission on the condition that I fuck them both later. I gladly lied that I have no problem with that. 10 mins later I'm in the room with this euro muscle having a great morning and happy that I got exactly what I wanted. I was hesitant to cum since I have 2 massages on the menu for today but I decided this guy is more hot than both masseurs so he is worth cum spending.
After that surprising turnout, I went for a workout at So/ gym in order to get my muscles sore for the massages on the menu for today.
I originally booked just a single massage with Yuya for this day. A couple of days before the trip I remembered that SSense had faboules masseurs in the past and just checked what's on the menu. I saw Singha of which I knew from previous trips and got horny. Decisions made from home are really funny because they are disconnected from the reality of what can actually fit well. I contacted SSense and apperntly Singha was fully booked the entire 6 days of my trip. That made me even more horny and I told them to put me on wait list and to update me if someone cancels. Three days later, I get a text while in the taxi to Ben Gurion airport that he is available for a massage two hours before the massage I already booked with Yuya. I thought of it a bit than decided YOLO and booked it.
Massage number 1: Singha from SSense.
This place is cheaper than the new fancy ones but the facility is more than good. I Booked a 2H massage. They explain minimum tip for B2B is 900 and that's it. Singha is the full package - Asian muscle god, nice and engaging. I won't review his massage skills because who the fuck cares about that lol. Extra services were very generous and he also complied to my request that he lays on the bed and I pour oil on him and play. Lot's of body contact, muscle worship, oral play, kissing. I rate this the best massage this trip competing very hard with the last massage of the trip.
After massage ended I left happy and satisfied directly to the next massage. I wasn't horny at all but a man's gotta do what a mans gotta do.
Massage number 2: Yuya from The residences.
The new genre of massage places that also include Klover and History are kinda cool in my opnion, They hire guys only by the way they look and hope the rest will be OK. That kinda fits my need. Everything here is on the more expensive side. I knew this beforehand so I wasn't surprised. Place is impressive, clean and new. Yuya is as hot as it gets in the genre of Asian muscle hairy guys. Other than that, I can't state anything too impressive. He was fine and nice but compared to all five other masseurs I didn't find him to too sexually engaged in making me happy. He wanted 3K for B2B. I told him I prefer just HE and that he takes of his shirt and I touch his muscles. We agreed on 2K. All and all I did leave that massage happy and satisfied. But in retro spect, this one is the only massage I would not repeat. Nothing wrong just not thrilling enough. as always, YMMV.
That was the third time cuming that day in about 6 hours so I was done with sexual activities for the time being. and by the time being I meant about 90 minutes.
Went to CentralWorld to eat my favorite Taiwanese dumplings and stroll a bit and went back to the room to meet V in the evening. I told V I wanna try Maxwell Onsen and he agreed so we went there together. That place was packed and we had to wait 20 mins to enter. Inside was a full Asian buffet and some of the best Thai and Chinese muscle guys the town had to offer. I was not that horny it was more of an intellectual excursion and I had enjoyed what the buffet had to offer. V had his share of fun and attention as he always gets. After about two hours we left. I will say that this place is implicitly ageist. It is not written anywhere but I didn't see anyone over 50 although you never exactly know age with those Asians and their fucking amazing skin.
After Maxwell's we went to have a drink and dance a bit at DJ station and to my request we called it a day at midnight and went back to the room. On the way back I got a text from an offline Grindr profile with no pic face pic and a single AI muscle torso as a picture. After some texting he sent me his pictures which I was suspicious about because it still had a vibe like someone asked the ChatGPT to render an Asian muscle god. I showed V his pictures and he said he didn't know him. I stayed suspicious while taking to him and told him I'm with V and the next night in CNX but we can meet in 2 days. I really thought it's a scam and at some point he will ask for my credit card number but we kept texting until I will actually meet that impressive beast.
My Second night was also last night with V which was exactly the amount of time I wanted for us so we had some night time play and went to sleep at around 2 AM.
As the wheels of the plane now touch the ground, I'm happy to be back home. For all that I care, now the war can start. Although I really hope it won't. For many reasons, but also since then I'll be drafted like I was last time. so let's keep fingers crossed that a peaceful solution will surprisingly occur.

Haha mate, fair play, in an Ibis the “premium king” room is basically a glorified shoebox with a view, so yeah, maybe my depth perception was off from trying not to elbow the minibar mid-thrust. But trust me, when you’re bent over a balcony railing that’s narrower than a Thai alleyway and feeling like you’re about to launch into Silom traffic, that 23cm Ghanaian hammer felt like it could split the Chao Phraya in half. Next time I’ll bring a tape measure and a spirit level to prove it wasn’t just the jet lag playing tricks. Or better yet, book the Le Meridian and invite you for a live demo?

Just got back to Sydney after the most insane 48 hour layover in Bangkok en route to Dubai. Originally only planned as a quick overnight to break the long flight from SYD, but after reading a couple of recent reports here about the growing number of African students and workers in BKK… let’s just say I re-booked the Dubai leg for two days later before I even landed.
Flight & Arrival
Landed in BKK around 16:40. The second I switched off airplane mode, Grindr exploded, 50+ taps in the first five minutes, I hadn’t even cleared immigration yet and already had messages blowing up my phone. Took the Airport Rail Link to Phaya Thai then MRT + short Grab ride to the hotel.
Hotel
Ibis Styles Bangkok Silom, booked a premium king room with balcony. The balcony was gold, high enough for privacy but still great for a post session cigarette while hearing the Silom chaos below.
Night 1 – Wednesday
Dropped the bags, quick shower, opened Grindr. Looked for any Black/African and it was a sea of Nigerian, Ghanaian and Cameroonian flags. Most were students or guys working for a few days in the LOS.
Hit it off with a 26 year old Ghanaian, tall, rugby build, pics showed a seriously thick bulge. He asked 3000 short time straight up....no bullshit!! I said come now, 25 minutes later he’s at the door in a tight white tank showing every ripple.
Shower show first, the ibis rooms have those big rain showers with glass walls, perfect for watching. Soaped each other up, deep kissing under the water, his tongue halfway down my throat while I tried to wrap both hands around that monster. Easily 22-23 cm and thicker than a Red Bull can, uncut, heavy foreskin, perfect curve upward. I spent a good 15 minutes on my knees just worshipping it.
Back to the bed, oil massage play (he brought his own bottle), then he ate my arse for a good 5 minutes and slid in. Took a solid five minutes of slow pushing before I could take it all. Once he was in he went full jackhammer, loud moaning began with slapping sounds echoing off the walls (so sorry to the lovely older couple next door). Bred me deep twice, massive loads. Tipped him an extra 500 because I literally saw stars.
Grabbed some food from the street stall on Silom Soi 4, then one quick beer before bed. Passed out happy.
Day 2 – Thursday
Did a bit of shopping during the day and had a nice swim in the afternoon. Opened Grindr at 7pm and the grid was on fire again. Decided today would be a double header.
Guy #2 – a 24 year old Nigerian, nice body, face 10/10. Same deal, 3000 ST. Spent almost two hours: long 69 session (he was an amazing cocksucker), then he carried me to the balcony (yes I asked him to, I'm paying good money here guys!!!!) bent me over the railing and pounded me while the traffic roared below. Shot so hard I felt it hit deep. Stayed another 30 minutes cuddling and kissing, total sweetheart.
Quick nap, dinner, then guy #3 just after midnight. Nice student from Cameroon, 29, gym-rat, veiny arms, low hanging balls. He was the most verbal, kept calling me “baby” and “good boy” while he choked me lightly on his beautiful fat uncut cock. Oiled me up again, slow sensual fuck first, then flipped me on my stomach and went full animal. Loudest moaner of the three, I’m shocked no one complained. Left another huge creamy load inside and kissed my forehead on the way out.
Practical Tips
• ibis Styles Silom = 100% joiner-friendly, no drama even with three different guys in 48 hrs.
• Grab taxis everywhere, never paid more than 120 THB in the Silom/Sathorn area.
• Grindr grid for African guys is absolutely stacked, turn on your phone at the airport and you’ll see what I mean.
• 3000 THB short time seems to be the going rate right now for the top-tier African pros, worth every baht.
Verdict
Best quick stopover of my life. Three absolute stallions, zero attitude and hotel was perfect. I'm already looking at flights for a full week in May dedicated solely to the African boys in Bangkok.
Thanks Bangkok… see you very soon

Hello forum members
I'm guy in early 30s This will be my 5th trip to Thailand and a longer one.
At last I've got an opportunity to stay in Thailand for nearly 2 months (Dec 21 to 2026 Jan 13). This time I'm thinking to reside in Bangkok first just to get a glimpse how it feels and what it takes to live in Thailand. Because before I traveled to Thailand just for 2/3 week holidays 1 or 2 times a year as an average tourist since first trip 2023 May.
Later in the future when I can work remotely I will try Pattaya.
Sorry that I did not post my past experiences on this forum because I made some mistakes and it was a little bit complicated. I felt embarrassed to write a trip report.
On the 1st trip which I will never forget I met a boy from Myanmar and stayed with him for entirety of my trip (3 weeks) Bangkok and Pattaya. So I did not get to experience the chase aka butterflying. I got very infatuated with him. We called each other everyday while I was in my country. Everything was ok from financial side (no requests for money), but not from psychological side. And on later trips "drama", tears, jealousy and guilt tripping followed when I wanted to actually experience the chase, because my time was very limited on holidays. But now I don't have any strings attached. But that matter is for another topic.
My main question for now is about accommodation.
I'm already booked Surawong 56 hotel for 1st week. And and my plan is during that week I will try to contact owners (maybe via https://www.renthub.in.th/ or Airbnb) and go around looking for apartment somehow? I don't have any idea how, because I never rented in Thailand before. Will that work out that way or am I missing something?
I want to stay near Lumphini park (for running exercise) or somewhere in Sathorn area. Silom itself is ok, but I don't want to stay long term in tourist areas where I'm being harassed by tuk tuk drivers or touts every single time I pass them I ignore them but still gets old very quickly
As I read from various sources that not many wants to rent out for period less than 6 months.
I'm thinking about Airbnb or Serviced apartments.
1. Any other legal issues with Airbnb even if I stay obviously longer then 30 days?
2. Where to buy spare bedsheets or extra towels? Where to wash clothes, bedsheets, towels etc. if apartment doesn't have washing machine? Maybe whole apartment building have communal laundry? As I understand it's not a case in serviced apartments. Because some accidents can happen during aerobics (happened with one boy from Pattaya while I was f****** him during my last trip, I did not mind because hotel took care of everything
3. Safety concerns when bringing boy to your apartment. In hotels I always put everything worth for stealing in safe when I bringing boy to my room. What to do if apartment
does not have safe box?
